Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 254
As Jinhee entered into one of the room within the restaurant, Shin Soyeon stayed back, and the door behind Jinhee closed. Sitting on one of the chairs was Han Taeho, and an impassive expression was upon his face.
Stepping closer to the table, Jinhee took a seat and realized that Taehyun had already ordered the food for their dinner.
“I hope you don’t mind. I took the initiative to order the food,” Taeho vocalised.
Shaking her head to indicate a ‘no’, Jinhee said, “It is alright; This just saved time.”
Staring at the seafood noodle dish in front of her, a smile formed on Jinhee’s face at the scent, and raising her line of sight, she stared at Han Taeho. It wouldn’t be polite for her to start eating before he does.
“Let’s eat first or else the food will be getting cold,” Taeho voiced out to which Jinhee nodded.
Lee Jinhee had no trust when it came to her stomach, and having it grumble in front of Taeho due to the food in front of her would be truly embarrassing.
“Yes, thank you for the meal,” Jinhee expressed before picking up the chopsticks.
Whilst holding the chopsticks, she picked up some strands of the noodles and blew on it to decrease the temperature before placing it inside her mouth.
After that, Jinhee looked towards Taeho and said, “I don’t know whether or not you know about it, but Taehyun and I have started to date, I guess. Although it might not be your business, I just thought it would be polite to inform you about it.”
Taeho nodded and vocalised, “Take good care of him then. However, make sure to not slip up.”
“I know that. By the way, did you see the new rumours that popped up about me? That could be either done by Youngmi or Jinkyung. I would think it is Youngmi since Jinkyung would not take such brazen actions,” Jinhee said.
“I was informed about it earlier, and calls on how my fiancée might be cheating on me with Kim Jaehyun came the entire day. After trying to track the location of the IP Address, it was from a Internet Café, and the CCTV camera for that place was broken,” Taeho voiced out.
“What about the records of the customers? Did you check that?” Lee Jinhee asked as nervousness could be noticeable in her tone. This could have been a big evidence for them against Jinkyung.
“Bribe was paid to erase that,” Taeho said, “And the nearby CCTV Camera Footage was erased as well.”
Tapping her foot on the floor, Jinhee stated, “There must be somewhere that person slipped. It is just that we are unable to do so.”
“What about CCTV Cameras near that area? The person hired is definitely someone good with computers and keeping secrets if Youngmi hired him.”
That’s when, something hit Lee Jinhee, and raising her head, she stared Han Taeho with fear in her eyes. She then vocalised, “What if that person is killed? As far as I know Kwon Youngmi, I know that she is capable of murdering people to keep the secrets hidden. If that happens, then this is absolutely useless.”
“There is a possibility for that as well. Taking that into consideration, I will be checking all the CCTV Footage nearby and try to see whether or not anyone is missing and worse, dead,” Taeho stated.
Lee Jinhee nodded her head and vocalised, “About Lee Minjoon, I am sure he will be making his move sooner. Now, he just needs Jinkyung to give him the last push of confidence.
You could try taking Jinkyung out on a ball or date this weekend. After he is sure that you like Jinkyung, he will be using her as a distraction to you whilst he attempts to get me killed.”
“I could try to do that if I manage to clear my schedules. It has been hectic this week, but I might get enough time over the weekend to do so,” Han Taeho vocalised.
Lee Jinhee understandingly nodded. Han Taeho was a busy man, and the fact that he is helping her do this must be really tough on him.
Jinhee was surprised that Taehyun’s mother and father did not try to call me and ask her regarding this matter. Nonetheless, she appreciated for it would have been too embarrassing for her to explain this to his parents.
“Alright,” Jinhee said, “About evidence against my Father’s misconduct in business, did you find anything?”
“There were couple, but it is not enough to charge of anything. The evidence against misuse of funds is extremely low as of this moment, and Lee Minjoon had done all of the work meticulously.
It is difficult to acquire such information within a short time. Nevertheless, we need to speed up because Kwon Youngmi is stepping up her game.
Don’t try to do anything to remove those rumours of you, and let them flood around. The bigger they get, the more the blame will be on Youngmi when the truth emerges,” Taeho said to which Jinhee nodded.
She clearly understood what Han Taehyun was trying to imply. If it was erased, this might be forgotten by maximum, and the effect on Youngmi when the truth is released could be lesser.
“About Lee Minjoon, I need to give him an opening that he would be able to attack me at, and that needs to be fatal— not enough to kill me though. However, I have no idea on how to create such a situation though,” Jinhee stated.
She then continued, “With Taehyun and Soyeon around me, he will be cautious with his actions.”
“Tomorrow— Get him to attack you then. I can keep Taehyun occupied for the entire day tomorrow, so that is when you can successfully get Minjoon to make a move upon you,” Taehyun voiced out.
“For the entire day?”
Taehyun nodded and added, “I will be taking Jinkyung out on a date as well, and I might have a perfect idea for how you can get Minjoon to attack you.”
