Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 264
Opening her eyes, Lee Jinhee was met with the sight of Han Taehyun sleeping beside her, and a small smile spread upon her face at that.
A peaceful expression sat upon his face, and Soohyun found her hand being extended towards him. His wig remained upon his hand, and using her hand, Soohyun pushed away the bangs from his forehead.
Taking in his mesmerising features, Jinhee thought that she will be forever able to keep watching Taehyun sleep. Her eyes began to take in the smallest features of his face.
At that moment, Han Taehyun’s yawned and he was about to open his eyes. That alarmed Jinhee, and she immediately shut close her eyes.
A chuckle left Taehyun’s mouth as he completely opened his eyes, and an amused expression crossed over them. This left Jinhee wondering on about what was it that made him laugh.
“Stop pretending, Jinhee-ah; I know that you are not sleeping,” Han Taehyun commented.
Lee Jinhee pretended to be not affected by his words and kept her eyes closed. Jinhee did not take herself to be that bad of an actor, and maybe this was just Taehyun’s lucky guess.
Although she had no clue to why she had closed her eyes, she was well aware of the fact that it would be too mortifying for her if she opened her eyes now.
Seeing that Jinhee was not going to open her eyes, Taehyun extended his hand towards her and pinched her nose softly. As this was a habit of Jinhee’s, she held it within herself to not scrunch at Taehyun’s actions.
Deciding to giving up the pretend sleep, Lee Jinhee yawned loudly as she squinted her eyes open. Creases appeared on top of her forehead.
“What are you doing with my—”
Before Lee Jinhee could continue, she felt a soft pair of lips on top of hers, and although Jinhee was surprised, she did not show any kind of resistance.
After he had pulled away from the kiss, Taehyun licked his lips and said, “This is a great start to the morning. I want to do more, but I am sure my scared little squirrel will be running way at that.”
Jinhee scoffed at Taehyun’s words.

The news on the television caught Jinhee’s interest, and as she bit into the toast within her hand, her eyes stared at the television in front of her.
“Lee Minjoon, CEO of Moonstone Enterprise, attempted to attack Lee Jinhee by hiring a truck driver. If not for the police arriving, the situation could have grown to become much serious.
Upon asking and investigating the truck driver, evidence on how Minjoon was involved with this was found. Pay around six hundred thousand won, Minjoon had contacted the driver, who was in urgent need of money to pay off his gambling debts.
What is more shocking is that how Lee Jinhee is not the daughter of Lee Minjoon. Lee Jinhee is the granddaughter to Lee Dowon, chairman of Moonstone Enterprise.
After her mother had died, Lee Jinhee was adopted by Lee Minjoon, and according to an inside source, Lee Minjoon apparently wanted to kill Lee Jinhee as she was the heiress.”
The door to the room opened in that instant, and Jinhee’s eyes shifted off there as she turned off the television. She was not interested in watching it any longer.
Han Taehyun stepped into the room whilst wearing a wide smile upon his face. After he had left in the morning, this is when he arrived, and Jinhee assumed that he had gone to school.
“Did you see the news?” Taehyun questioned.
Lee Soohyun nodded and replied, “I did. Minjoon is out of the picture. Now, Jiyoung and that Jinkyung is left. I don’t think that Youngchul will be sparing me either.”
“You do not need to go back to that house. With what had happened, things will be a mess at Moonstone Enterprise, and Lee Dowon will be currently looking for a temporary CEO.
I am assuming that competition will be postponed for now, and no one will be exactly in the mood to participate now. So, you can basically stay over my place,” Han Taehyun vocalised.
Shaking her head to indicate a ‘no’, Lee Jinhee voiced out, “If I stay at the Han Mansion, I will be missing out on all of the fun, and I have an inkling that Jinkyung would attempt to make a move upon me this time around.”
Han Taehyun let out a sigh, and he said, “Since I know that I can not argue against those words of yours, I guess I will be staying there with you.”
Lee Jinhee chuckled and stated, “You are really clingy. How are your parents even alright after this, especially taking in the relationship between us? Although they know the truth, this is just too awkward.”
“The Han Family had been called weird multiple number of times. Nothing matters to them as long as Taeho and I are happy, I guess,” Taehyun said.
“Ah! You are making me jealous at this point. Let’s go out for a walk outside, alright? Staying inside here in almost suffocating me,” Jinhee vocalised.
“Alright. Wait a second; I will be getting the wheelchair for you,” Taehyun vocalised.
The mention of the wheelchair made Lee Jinhee’s eyes wider, and she recalled about the embarrassment she had to face when she agreed to the wheelchair last time around. There was no way Jinhee was willing to go through that again.
“No, don’t, Han Taehyun. I know that I will be fine without that,” Lee Jinhee vocalised.
Han Taehyun raised one of his eyebrows at Jinhee’s words, and he then questioned, “You sure you will be fine? Regardless of how humiliating it is, I do not mind pushing you.”
Jinhee scoffed and stated, “I do not care about. The wheelchair is really mortifying, and I would rather stay inside than sit upon it.”
“Alright. I guess you can lean upon me whenever you need it,” Han Taehyun vocalised, “That actually sounds like a better option.”
