Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 266
Seeing how Jaehyun was staring at her after Han Taehyun pointed towards him, her first instinct was to pull Taehyun away from there, and that was what she did.
Gripping Taehyun’s hand, Jinhee immediately pulled him away from the class despite his resistance towards it. After both of them had walked out of the classroom, she looked around the hallway and noticed that there was no one there.
Taking this chance, Jinhee pushed Taehyun, so that his back touched the wall, and standing before him, she stared at him sternly.
“Are you going to let the entire school know of our relationship?” Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows.
Folding his arms across his chest, a pout formed on Taehyun’s face whilst he said, “Maybe I should do that. How could you say that to me after what you were about to do with that Jaehyun?”
Lee Jinhee scoffed and voiced out, “Are you really acting childish at this point? You do know that I do not have any feelings for him, and this is important to me.”
“You should have told me about it before though. I hate when you do things without telling me,” Taehyun confessed whilst turning the other way.
Han Taehyun could not bring himself to look towards Jinhee. He did not want Jinhee to think that he was too controlling. Although Taehyun knew that this was for the sake of the plan, he felt too threatened when it came to Kim Jaehyun.
If he could, he would have completely erased Jaehyun from her life. Nonetheless, he knew that she would not be liking that, and that is why, he was doing no such thing.
Maybe if it was someone other than Jaehyun, he would not feel in such a way. Nevertheless, everytime Jaehyun and Jinhee came close, he felt scared.
What if Jinhee realized that she preferred Jaehyun over him? What if Jinhee wanted to be with Jaehyun?
Although Taehyun repeated inside his head on he would be fine with whatever Jinhee chose, he knew that would not be the case. Crazy thoughts on locking Jinhee roamed in his mind, and at times, he wanted to cut down her wings. He wanted her to reach into such a state that she would not be able to survive without him.
After all those thoughts, when he saw Jinhee’s face, he felt pure guilt. He wondered about how disgusted would Jinhee be when she saw those feelings of his. Those will be something that will be hidden deep inside his heart because he did not want to see that resentment in those eyes of hers.
What drive Han Taehyun out of his trance was when he felt a palm upon his shoulder. Nevertheless, frightened, he did not dare to stare towards Jinhee.
“I am sorry, Taehyun, for very unable to tell you about everything. Although you have given me enough reasons to make me trust you, at times, I get scared and want to do things on my own.
If I ever hurt you, please do tell me. I am not the perfect person to be in a relationship with and after certain things, I might be too closed off to you. Therefore, tell me if I am doing anything wrong,” Jinhee vocalised.
Surprise— that was what Jinhee’s words caused him to feel. His eyes were widened whilst they stared upon Jinhee. He did not expect her to respond in such a way.
He thought she would be annoyed and lash out at him. Nevertheless, it made him happy to see that she was as sincere and admant on working this relationship as much as him.
This made his heart beat rapidly, and not wanting Jinhee to see the current expression upon his face, he extended his hand towards her to pull her into a tight hug.
Her rapid heartbeats could be clearly deciphered by him at this moment, and hearing that made him feel more at peace. As Jinhee wrapped her hands around him, he could feel her warm breath upon his shoulder.
“We should be heading inside now, Han Taehyun,” Jinhee voiced out, “It is really strange how I took you to be vulnerable a moment ago.”
“Vulnerable? That is indeed strange,” Taehyun stated, “There was no way I could be considered vulnerable.”
“Tch! Are you trying to conceal yourself after you asked of me to show myself to you?” Jinhee questioned.
“I am pretty sure I have revealed almost my entire self to you,” Taehyun vocalised.
“Liar, but I won’t force you. You will just feed me thousand of lies,” Jinhee pointed out as a chuckle left her mouth.
Although the teacher might be coming any second now, Taehyun did not care about that at this moment and wanted to keep hugging Jinhee. Her warmth was something Taehyun was addicted to, and he might go to huge extent to keep it because him.
Han Taehyun vocalised, “Are you pouting now, Jinhee-ah? You never know unless or until you try. I might tell you about everything.”
“You used the word ‘might’, and that means there is uncertainty. You would not want me to take such a risk for that,” Jinhee said.
“Aren’t you being too dramatic about it?” Taehyun questioned as he pulled away from the hug.
As much as he wanted to keep hugging Jinhee, he was well aware that Jinhee would not like it if they were discovered by the teachers in such a way. Jinhee might be uncomfortable, and he did not want to push her way too far in her comfort zone.
“Let’s not talk about the useless matters,” Jinhee vocalised, “The teacher will be arriving any minute now. Let’s enter in.”
“You are regarding this as useless now? Weren’t you desperate to know about it few seconds ago?” Han Taehyun raised one of his eyebrows.
“Using desperate is like exaggerating it. I was plain curious,” Jinhee voiced out, “There is a clear difference between the two of them.”
Han Taehyun nodded and said, “It says on the internet to give in to the girl one likes although the girl might be potentially wrong, and that is what I am doing at this moment.”
