Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 268
Lee Jinhee was on her guards as her eyes roamed about her surroundings and tried to find something that could be potentially dangerous for her.
However, there was nothing like that which caught her eyes.
Kwon Youngmi sat opposite to her, and a soft smile sat on Youngmi’s eyes. Youngmi’s eyes twinkled as innocence radiated off of her. All of this was a facade.
There were no other customers present at this moment, and raising her line of sight, Jinhee saw the waiters walking towards them with the food in their hand.
The waiter placed Youngmi’s soup in front of her perfectly, and when the waiter was about to place her dish in front of Jinhee, he seemed to have slipped, causing the contents to fall upon Jinhee.
The burning hot liquid touched Jinhee’s thighs, and she winced at the contact. Her eyes stared down towards where the content had fallen down.
Although Jinhee did not see that coming, she was not surprised although she pretended to look so. This was definitely Youngmi’s ploy, and a small frown formed on Jinhee’s face. She was curious to know what Youngmi had in mind for her.
The gasp left the waiter’s mouth, and placing the tray on top of the table, he bowed repeatedly. Jinhee could see how he was shivering due to fear, and she guessed that to be because of her status as Taehyun’s fiance.
Even though he was possibly ordered by Youngmi to do this, it was reasonable for him to be frightened by Jinhee.
“I am sorry, Miss; I am really sorry. Please forgive me; I am really sorry, Miss,” The Waiter repeated.
“How could you make such a careless mistake? We have school after this, and how can she attend school in such a way? The service here is really sloppy! They should hire better staff at here,” Youngmi vocalised as she pushed the chair back and stood up.
Anger radiated off of her whilst she glowered at the waiter, and Jinhee almost let out a chuckle on how genuine Youngmi seemed at this moment. Her acting skills did manage to astound Jinhee regardless of all other things.
“I am sorry, Miss. This was all my fault. Do not fire me. I am ready to compensate,” The Waiter vocalised.
Lee Jinhee let out a sigh and hoped that Han Taehyun was ready with his plan when she stood up from the chair. If he was not, then Jinhee was possibly done for.
Nevertheless, she had trust in Taehyun and knew that Taehyun would not be disappointing her, especially since her life is put at stake here.
“It’s alright, Youngmi-ssi,” Jinhee said, “I will just go and wash up. Meanwhile, you can enjoy your food. This will just take me a minute,” Jinhee vocalised whilst wearing a smile on her face.
Whilst an apologetic look appeared in Youngmi’s eyes, she lamented, “All of this is my fault. This would not have happened if I did not bring you here. I am really sorry, Jinhee-ssi.”
Lee Jinhee just nodded her head.
With the anxiety brewing up within her, she was in no mood to be courteous. Regardless of how many times she repeated silently to herself on how she was fine, she was truly scared. There was always an uncertainty which remained within her.

Entering into the bathroom stall, she closed the door before turning to look at the marbled sink. As she placed her palm under it, water instantly flowed down.
Whilst she felt the water upon her palm, she stared down to look at her uniform and realised that the stain was quite big.
Letting out a sigh, Jinhee began to clean it with the water as much as she could, and when she saw that it was barely working, she decided to use some hand sanitizer.
Although she had never tried to wash clothes with it, she was curious to see whether or not it would work. If she was safe enough to return to school, Jinhee definitely did not want to return with stained skirt and shirt.
That is when Jinhee heard sounds outside of the door, and a small smirk formed upon her face. She clearly understood what Youngmi had in mind at this moment.
Locking her in the washroom was not an idea which could be considered creative. Nonetheless, it is certainly something that is effective— especially, in a restaurant like this, where barely anyone would try to look for her after some manipulation from Youngmi.
Jinhee shook her head.
When she was about to take out her phone from her skirt’s pocket, she realized something. Her phone was not there with her, and only one person could be behind it— Kwon Youngmi.
Nevertheless, she was not frightened. She was scared whatever Youngmi planned for her would be more dangerous, and Taehyun would be able to easily help her out of this.
That is when, Jinhee heard sounds of shuffling from behind the door, and wondering about what that could be, she moved closer to the door. Placing her ear near the door, she tried to eavesdrop.
That is when it rained water and flour upon her, and in Jinhee’s opinion, that was definitely not a good combination. The people from the other side threw the contents through the gap on top of the door.
“Help me! Stop!” Jinhee exclaimed almost immediately after they started dropping the content in order to not make it seem suspicious.
Fortunately enough, Jinhee managed to crouch down before it entirely fell upon her, and most part of her face managed to be untouched by the content.
Wondering on how tough it will be for her to clean the mess made a sigh leave Jinhee’s mouth, and she hoped for the pain to be worth the result.
After she was sure that they were done pouring all the contents on her, Jinhee stood up straight and walked towards the mirror. Weight was there in her hair, and as she ran her hand through her hair, frown formed upon her face.
