Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 270
A wince left Jinhee’s mouth when Kwon Youngmi held on to her shoulder tightly and pushed her back against the wall. The contact caused a sharp ache to go down Jinhee’s back.
Nonetheless, Jinhee was not surprised of Youngmi’s strength despite of her small physique for she had been the victim of her attacks in her last life as well.
Youngmi’s attacks were extremely painful, and a part of her was hesitant of having to go through them again in this life of hers. Nevertheless, for success, there are few things that she would have to endure in order to attain success.
Raising her hand, Youngmi connected her fist with Jinhee’s cheeks, and Jinhee felt a sharp pain go through her cheek. She let out a groan at the pain, and the corner of her lips were cut.
Blood flowed down her lips, and raising her hand, Jinhee touched the corner of her lips. A wince left her mouth at the contact. The punch was truly painful.
Although Kwon Youngmi was extremely good at co trolling her emotions, Jinhee was aware on how how difficult for Youngmi was it to bring her emotions to the normal strength once she lost control over her anger.
Now, that Youngmi was starting to lose control over her anger, Youngmi was bound to get violent, and she will be more effected by her emotions than her brain.
At this moment, Youngmi most likely thought that Jinhee was utterly vulnerable, and she will be taking that chance to attack Jinhee as much as possible without a thought for later consequences.
In the end, Youngmi was a teenager, who too can influenced by strong emotions to make wrong decisions.
“Is that all you can do?” Jinhee questioned whilst raising one of her eyebrows.
“Shut up! Shut up, Jinhee! Lee Jinhee, you are someone extremely lowly, and the fact that I am personally handling you is definitely an honour for you. I’ll have you personally killed, but before that, I need to make you suffer to the point you would be begging for your own death,” Youngmi vocalised.
Lee Jinhee let out a chuckle, and she then questioned, “So, it will be an honour for me to get killed?”
As Jinhee raised her hand to wipe the blood that formed on the corner of her lips, Youngmi extended her hand towards Jinhee and tightly gripped on to her neck.
Although Jinhee had some difficulty breathing, she knew that Youngmi would not be killing her at this moment. Having her dead so easily would not be able to satisfy Youngmi.
“I told you to shut up, You Bitch! Of course it will be an honour for you! I will personally tear you to pieces,” Youngmi vocalised.
Imagining Youngmi doing that to her was something Jinhee found gross, and she shuddered at that instant. Nonetheless, Jinhee still kept the mock in her eyes, knowing that this would be provoking Youngmi further.
Youngmi raised her knee and connected it with Jinhee’s stomach. A sharp pain went through Jinhee’s lower abdomen, causing her eyes to widen at the intensity, and she bit her lower lip.
A scream of pain left her mouth at that instant, and tears formed at the corner of her eyes. Although Jinhee tried to hold them in, they managed to leak out.
Without loosening her grip around Jinhee’s neck, Youngmi targeted her knee at Jinhee’s abdomen out, and after that, Jinhee found a hard time breathing.
Her body was aching tremendously, and she found it hard to keep up with this. It took all within Jinhee to not give up.
‘Jinhee, you will be all fine. This is just few of the physical attacks. You have been through worse in your last life, and it is alright. You are really strong, Lee Jinhee, and you need to show that.’
A smile sat on Jinhee’s face whilst she stared at Youngmi. Kwon Youngmi released Jinhee in that instant, and Jinhee found her knees being close to giving out.
Nonetheless, Jinhee knew that she could not let that happen. She would not let herself fall down in front of Youngmi in that instant. Jinhee was determined to keep standing despite of how difficult it was for her.
“You are quite stubborn. Let’s see how long you can keep up with this, Lee Jinhee,” Youngmi vocalised as she made her last attack on Jinhee.
Youngmi connected her fist with Jinhee’s left cheek before turning her back on Jinhee and starting to walk away.
As she was striding further, Youngmi took out her handkerchief and wiped her fist to remove the remnants of the blood upon them.
After Youngmi was finally out of her sights, Jinhee laughed before her knees gave out, and she sat upon the tiles. Her laughters continued, and they were fueled by how joyful Jinhee felt in that instant.
In her last life, Jinhee begged Youngmi multiple times, and even though she got violently attacked in this life of hers as well, she managed to keep her pride intact.
Moreover, this time around, it was her who was controlling the games, not Kwon Youngmi. Everything was going along her plot, not Youngmi’s.
Although she was an utter mess at this moment, all of this felt extremely good to Jinhee.
Jinhee had no idea on how long she has been sitting on the floor and kept on laughing. The pain in her stomach was gradually decreasing, and the burning pain on the corner of her lips was slowly diminishing.
That is when Jinhee heard footsteps in front of her, and she did not bother with raising her head. Although Jinhee had no idea on who it could be, she was not curious about it.
At that instant, Jinhee found herself engulfed by a warmth, and a familiar scent invaded her nostrils. That scent was enough to deliver comfort to Jinhee, and she very well was aware of whom that belonged to.
Han Taehyun’s rapid heart beats were distinctly heard by Jinhee, and a small smile spread over her face. After all of this, his warmth made her feel better.
