Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 272
As both of them walked into the school building, Taehyun held on to Jinhee’s hand tightly and intertwined both of their hands together. Since it was not uncommon for two girls to walk like this, no one commented much about.
Jinhee could see how Taehyun was being protective over her and keeping an eye on everything around them. After what had occured yesterday, Taehyun did not want one more injury to be inflicted upon Jinhee.
“Soyeon is supposed to be my bodyguard, Taehyun-ah,” Jinhee whispered to him.
“I am better at this than her. After—”
Before Taehyun could say something, his eyes spotted something, and gripping Jinhee’s wrist, he pulled Jinhee’s body closer to him. His sudden action made Jinhee’s eyes wider, and her head touched his chest.
Raising her head, Jinhee eyes stared at Taehyun’s face and gave him an confused gaze. Everyone passing by the hallway had their eyes on the two.
As Taehyun’s hand secured Jinhee by holding on to her waist, a frown sat upon on his face as he vocalised, “There seems to be something on the floor.”
Extending his leg towards it, Taehyun rubbed it slightly with the surface of his foot and stated, “It is quite slippery as well.”
Jinhee nodded and pointed out, “You could have just told me about it instead of pulling me like this.”
A chuckle left Jinhee’s mouth as he replied, “This seemed more dramatic and cooler in my opinion, plus with this, I got a chance to hug you.”
Jinhee shook her head at the boy while she pulled away from him. Although she would not vocally admit it, Taehyun’s actions caused her heart to skip a beat.

As Jinhee was immersed within another one of her teasing session with Min Hyunbin, she felt someone tapping on her shoulder, and wondering who it could be, she turned her head back.
Seeing Kwon Youngmi stand behind her, Jinhee raised one of her eyebrows and politely questioned, “Was there anything you needed, Youngmi-ssi?”
There was so sign of that viciousness from yesterday on Youngmi’s face, and a nervous expression sat on her face whilst she fidgeted with her fingers.
She then replied, “Can we go outside for a while to talk, Jinhee-ssi? This is important, and I promise it would not take much of your time.”
Jinhee felt how Taehyun squeezed her hand and tightly gripped on to her hand, letting her know that he was not willing with her going outside.
“I am afraid it would not be appropriate to do so now, Youngmi-ssi. The teacher will be coming any minute now, and I don’t want to get in trouble,” Jinhee vocalised.
Although Jinhee was alright with being beaten by Youngmi to a certain extent, doing classes when she was in pain would not be effective, and in this life of hers, Jinhee was determined to study properly.
“Ah! Is that so? Sorry for bothering you then. This was sort of important, but I guess, I understand,” Youngmi said in a dejected tone as she stared down at the floor.
As a sigh left her mouth, Youngmi turned her back on Jinhee and started walking towards her place. Whispers of how Jinhee behaved badly with Youngmi reached her ears. However, those talks did not bother her even slightly.

After collecting everyone’s notebooks, Jinhee and Youngmi walked towards the teacher’s office. Jinhee was not guarded at this moment for it would be too suspicious for Soyeon to follow her closely, and she could only put her trust into Taehyun for now.
As the two of them held on to the stack of notebooks and walked towards the direction of the teacher’s office, Jinhee saw that the hallway before her was quite empty, and there was no sign of any people beside her.
At that moment, Jinhee felt someone nudge at her harshly with their elbow, and losing her balance— mostly due to the heavy weight in her hand— Jinhee stumbled, causing some of the notebooks in her hand to fall down.
She had no idea on whether or not this was being recorded by Taehyun. Nevertheless, she prayed for Taehyun to collect evidences on this for she had mentioned him to do so before exiting the class with the notebooks.
Turning her head, Jinhee glanced at Youngmi, who was staring at her with a smug smile and let out a sigh. Crouching down on the floor, Jinhee decided to pick up the notebooks lying upon it.
Placing the stack of notebooks on the floor, she extended her hand towards the other notebooks and began to pick them up one by one.
That is when she saw how Youngmi raised her leg and kicked at the stack of books, causing all of them to scatter on the floor randomly.
Raising her line of sight, Jinhee glared at Kwon Youngmi to which she just shrugged her shoulders and said, “Why are you staring at me? Do your job properly and don’t be this clumsy. I do not want to be scolded by the teacher’s just because of you.”
Letting out a scoff, Jinhee began to arrange the books again. Jinhee’s behaviour was starting to annoy Youngmi, and when Youngmi was about to kick Jinhee, she heard footsteps at the direction of the hallway.
Immediately, Youngmi sat down on the floor, and wearing a smile on her face, she picked up one of the books, handing it to Jinhee.
“Jinhee-ah, you are so clumsy. Here,” Youngmi vocalised.
As the sound of the footsteps also reached Jinhee’s ear, she was aware of the reason behind Youngmi’s sudden behaviour change. Nevertheless, she accepted the book from Youngmi and placed it on her stack.
After she was done picking up all of the books, she noticed how students were starting to fill the hallway, and Jinhee was beginning to feel disappointed. She could have gotten Youngmi to do worse things to her if it was not for this.
Standing up with all of the books in her hand, Jinhee walked towards the direction of the teacher’s office, without paying any attention to Youngmi, knowing that this will be aggravating Youngmi further.
