Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 281
“A game?” Taeho questioned as he took a step forward.
Lee Jinhee’s eyes noticed how a dark glint passed through Taeho’s eyes, and although she was not the one on his bad side, a chill went down her back at the look in his eyes.
As he stood in front of Youngmi, he leaned down to pick up the knife, which had fallen down from her hand, and pointing it at Youngmi’s direction, he said, “You do not mind if I join in and make some cuts on your face.”
Although Youngmi was vicious when it came to handling her enemies, no one had ever talked to her way Taeho did, and this was enough to make her shudder.
She took a step back from Taeho, and trying her best to maintain her composure, Youngmi stared straight at Taeho. There was something about Taeho that intimidated her at this moment and made Youngmi be wary about the entire situation.
Although Youngmi had done things way worse than one can normally imagine, she found herself being completely pressurized in Taeho’s presence.
That baffled her very much for she had no clue on what the reason behind that could be. Although Taeho was much experienced than her, the difference between both of their presence should not be this much.
Youngmi took a step back, and whilst trying to force out a smile upon her face, she vocalized, “W-Why would Taeho-ssi try to play a game in between of the girls? I am sure T-Taeho-ssi is too busy for that.”
A glint crossed over Taeho’s eyes in that instant, causing Youngmi to shudder, and she gulped. Around Taeho, Youngmi found it difficult to control her body movements, and she was afraid of giving out her secrets.
“No, let’s not differentiate games by gender. I really want to try this game out,” Taeho vocalized as he brought the knife near to Youngmi.
Kwon Youngmi was well aware that her usual act of innocence would not be working when it came to Han Taeho, and at that moment, Youngmi found herself being out of ideas on what to do.
Afraid that Taeho would truly be making a move on her, Youngmi immediately took a step back, and looking at back of Taeho, Youngmi’s eyes fell on her father’s secretary.
Staring at her sternly, Youngmi ordered, “Call my father, and get him to deal with this. I have classes to attend, and I can not be bothered with this.”
Even though this was not directed towards her, Jinhee could very well feel how Taeho was trying to make Youngmi be extremely fearful of him, and she could also notice how that was starting to work.
Kwon Youngmi had already dropped her facade, and merely due to his presence, Jinhee had an inkling that she will be dropping her entire facade.
Having fun while watching the entire scene in front of her unfold, Jinhee decided that it would be for the best if she did not interfere at that moment.
Bringing her hand over to her cheeks, she touched the wound made by Youngmi and wondered about how many days will it be taking for that to heal.
Reaching out into her pocket, Jinhee took out her handkerchief, and she placed it on top of the wound. As much she had to go to the infirmary at this moment, she wanted to watch how Taeho will be confronting Youngmi.
“Young Miss Youngmi, I am afraid that your father has ordered me to deal with all of your problems regardless of how they are, and he has already mentioned to you before joining this school that if you get into any sort of trouble, he will not be lending you a hand,” The secretary stated.
Kwon Youngmi’s father was stern and cold-hearted. Jinhee was aware of that. Jinkyung and Taeho got Youngmi to fall for their traps in her last life as well, and in the end, when Youngmi reached out to her father, he abandoned her.
Although his decision was too cold, Jinhee understood why he had done so. Even though he has covered up lots of Youngmi’s misdeeds in the past, he was fed up of it and was willing to give up Youngmi for the sake of his reputation.
As much as Jinhee wanted to pity Youngmi for that reason, she could not bring herself to do so. Youngmi had dug her own grave. If Kwon Youngmi was wiser and not driven by her emotions, she would not have reached such a position.
Lee Jinhee noticed how Kwon Youngmi’s face contorted with anger and knew that she was not able to hold in her emotions. Jinhee had an inkling that Youngmi knew she was done for.
As a small smile formed on Jinhee’s face, she stepped closer to Youngmi and whispered, “Game over, Kwon Youngmi. I won. You fell into the trap, not me.”
With those words, Jinhee was about to walk past Youngmi when she felt her arm being grabbed by someone, and before she could guess about what was happening, Jinhee found herself being pinned to the wall.
A murderous look sat at Youngmi’s eyes while they stared upon Jinhee, and reaching out into her pocket, Youngmi took out another one of her knives, which appeared to be similar to the previous.
“Whether or not I lost, Bitch, I will be destroying you,” Youngmi stated.
Seeing the knife coming towards her, Jinhee was cognizant on how Youngmi was stronger than her, and it would not be possible for her to push Youngmi away.
Using her left hand, Jinhee held on to the sharp part of the knife and attempted to push it away from her. Although Youngmi’s hold on the knife did not loosen, the knife was directed towards the other direction.
A sharp pain went through Jinhee’s hand when she had realized what had just happened, and wincing, she closed her eyes. Removing her left hand from around the blade, her eyes fell on the wound created on her palm.
