Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 305
Sitting on top of the roof, Lee Jinhee and Han Taehyun both had a wide smile on their face. There was a small hole made on the roof, and while looking down from it, Jinhee observed the scene inside the room beneath her.
The room appeared to be someone’s bedroom, and laying on top of the bed a young girl was sleeping. Lee Jinkyung was peacefully sleeping while her maid dozed off on the floor beside her.
At that moment, the sound of rustling and footsteps was heard in room coupled with animalistic growls, causing Jinkyung to wake up due to the sudden noise.
“Why is it so noisy?” Jinkyung voiced out as she sat up on her bed.
A yawn left her mouth as the blanket fell off of her bed, and as she looked down, she saw that her Maid had fallen asleep beside her bed. An annoyed expression immediately settled on her face.
“Hey! Hey! Hey! Wake up!” she yelled at the Maid.
However, the Maid showed no type of response to her, causing the irritation on Jinkyung’s face to become more evident. Extending her hand towards the Maid, Jinkyung was about to slap her when something caught her by surprise.
As a grin formed on Taehyun’s face, he pulled one of the strings in his hand, causing something to fall down. Jinkyung let out a yell at that.
In front of Jinkyung’s face, a couple of hands had fallen, and all of them were bloody. Seeing them appear out of nowhere frightened her, and her eyes widened in terror.
Two of the hands landed on her lap while one of them fell on top of her head. Blood dripped down her face. Jinkyung instantly closed her eyes due to being unable to bear it any longer.
While constantly screaming, she ran out of the room. Seeing that there was no one coming to her rescue, she wondered where the maids and eunuchs in the mansion were.
Pushing the door open, Jinkyung called for help, and when she was about to run out through it, something horrible happened before her. A dead body had fallen in front of her.
The sight of that body was enough to make Jinkyung feel sick. The skin was removed off of that body’s hands and legs. Blood continuously dripped down from it, causing a few of the droplets to fall upon Jinkyung.
After seeing that, Jinkyung felt bad in her stomach, and she held her mouth in order to prevent herself from throwing up. She had no clue as to why this was happening to her, and tears formed at the corners of her eyes.
The foul stench from the blood reached her nose, and the face of the body was horrifying. The eyes were removed from their sockets, and hair lied messily on top of the body’s head.
Pushing the body from aside her face, Jinkyung ran out of the room, praying inside her heart that someone would be coming to rescue her from this situation.
As she ran through the hallway, she noticed how everyone in the mansion had fallen asleep, and they were seated on the floor of the mansion. Seeing that made a gasp escape from her mouth.
Only the sound of rustling could be heard, and Lee Jinkyung was close to panicking. Could it be that the mansion was possessed by some kind of ghost? After all, how could such a thing happen within such a short time?
No matter how much she tried to call for help, there was no kind of response. Jinkyung fell down on her knees and began to cry. Afraid that even more scary things would appear before her if she continued further, she decided to stay in one place, hoping for someone to find her.
But Jinkyung did not want that person to be a frightening being.
When Lee Jinkyung felt someone tap her on her shoulder, a smile formed on her face, and those tears in her eyes stopped flowing. Positive thoughts began to fill her mind.
However, when she turned around, a face fell into her line of sight, and Jinkyung was close to having a heart attack. Blood dripped down that person’s face.
It was completely fleshy, and the disgusting sight was enough to make Jinkyung shiver. As that someone extended their hand towards Jinkyung’s throat, another scream left Jinkyung’s mouth before she closed her eyes.
As Jinkyung had lost her consciousness, her body fell back, and a loud sound resounded when her head came in contact with the hard floor.
A giggle left Jinhee’s mouth as she removed the mask off of her face, and throwing the mask off of her face, she clapped both of her hands together.
Since there was no fierceness in Jinkyung’s eyes, she was not afraid of appearing in front of her like this, thusa wide smile spread out on her face. Everything went just as perfectly as according to her plans.
Han Taehyun appeared beside her, and moved his hand towards her as he wiped off the blood from her face. Seeing Jinhee smiling made a smile form on his face as well. This was the happiest he had ever seen her since staying here.
If he got to see her this joyful again, he was willing to do anything for her, and he then questioned, “Satisfied?”
Nodding her head, she answered, “More than that. Now, let’s carry her body, and tie her up completely, let us hide her somewhere before someone shows up.”
“Wow! Lee Jinhee, you can be threatening at times. Remind me to not mess with you next time around. I don’t want you to take your revenge on me,” Taehyun vocalised as an amused look crossed his eyes.
As Lee Jinhee’s lips curved to form a smirk, she turned towards Han Taehyun and asked, “Isn’t it too late for that?”
As much as Lee Jinhee would never admit it verbally, she was well aware that this would not be possible if it was not for Han Taehyun. He gave her a boost of courage and made her do things she did not think were possible to do by herself. Han Taehyun was truly her saviour in a way.
