Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 309
A shudder went through Lee Jinhee’s back after she had opened her eyes. Recalling her memories of her past life and being horrified of them was an understatement.
Although she had grown to become much stronger, she was not something Jinhee could find herself bearing, and instantly, she wanted to erase those memories from her mind.
Even though she was not in the same nodg any longer, all those touch was vividly recalled by her, making her sick to her stomach. She did not regret her decision to end her life.
Although that was foolish, she was given another chance to start anew, and this time her life was better than the last life.
Lee Jinhee’s thoughts were completely muddled after that, and she did not know how to compose herself. A sudden coldness hit her, and she found herself trembling.
The second she closed her eyes, those horrifying memories would appear in her mind, and she had the urge to throw up at this moment.
“It’s alright, Dear. You can overcome this; the pain will be going away,” the Old Man voiced out.
Lee Jinhee nodded her head.
Even if those memories would turn to be nightmares for her, she knew that she had to move past them. She could not ruin the second chance she got at life merely due to this.
“About Taehyun and Taeho, none of them tricked. It was merely that none of them knew about how to disclose about the matter to you, Jinhee,” the Old Man vocalised.
“What do you mean?” she questioned— her voice being somewhat shaky.
“Han Taehyun and Taeho were both given second chances, and they are two different individuals sharing different bodies,” the Old Man confessed.
He then added, “If you think back to your old memories, you know that Han Taeho was Taehyun’s older brother. But in this life of yours, two of them were born in the same body with different soul.”
Those words from the Old Man widened Jinhee’s eyes, and with confusion present in her voice, she questioned, “W-What do you mean?”
“It is just as I say. Han Taehyun was someone born with the past life of when he was a Prince, and Taeho, on the other hand, was given the second chance to live another life. Jaehyun too was given memories from when he was Crown Prince. That’s why, everything was very much strange to you from the beginning.”
“Wait! What? This is—”
Before Lee Jinhee could continue further, the old Man vocalised, “Well, alright, that is enough information for now. It is time for you to go back. If you don’t want wake up by now, they will start to ask many questions.”
“No, don’t, you can’t do that! I have more questions for now!”
But it was too late for that. A sharp pain went through Lee Jinhee’s head before she found herself fading into the darkness.
°°°
A groan left her mouth as Lee Jinhee slowly opened her eyes, and she found herself being in one of the rooms in the hospital.
Pressing her palms on the bed, Jinhee attempted to sit up on the bed, and she recalled vaguely on how she was injected with something before losing her consciousness.
All the memories from her last life flooded inside her mind, and what happened with the Old Man was recalled by her. After remembering about everything, Lee Jinhee felt more guilty.
Nonetheless, at this moment, she was way calmer than previously and prayed that things would not end in tragedy in this life of hers as well. If Han Taehyun did not end up walking up, she did not understand the meaning to getting another chance.
Although Lee Jinhee’s emotions were a mess at this moment, she was aware that she will be able to control herself better at this moment.
As a dull expression sat on her face, Lee Jinhee pushed the blanket off of her and got down from the bed. She wanted to go and visit Han Taehyun.
Knowing his condition at this moment might make Jinhee feel better at this moment.
Thinking about how her life wned3d in her last life was something Lee Jinhee deemed to be traumatic, and if it was not for the fact her her most thoughts were concentrated on Han Taehyun, she would have been frightened by those horrible memories.
°°°
Being seated on the chair behind Han Taehyun’s bed, Lee Jinhee extended her hand to hold on to his hand.
Even though it was difficult, she managed to convince Taehyun’s mother to let her visit Taehyun after saying countless of apologizes to her. Although Taehyun’s mother mentioned on how this was not her fault, Jinhee did not feel any less guilty.
Holding Taehyun’s hand, she hoped for him to wake up soon. Laying on the bed, pale and unconscious, was not something that shut Han Taehyun.
More than guilt, Jinhee felt frightened about losing him forever, and losing her eyes tightly, she let the tear escape down her eyes.
“Han Taehyun, I don’t know whether or not you are listening to this words of mine, but please wake up. I am sorry; this is all because of me. However, I can not lose you. You are strong, Taehyun.
You can make past it, so wake up, Han Taehyun. Don’t leave me alone in this world. You know, how I need you to survive in this life, so open your eyes. You are well aware of how I am incomplete without you.
Don’t tell me all those promises you made were empty. I know this was all my fault, but please don’t punish me in such a way. How will I be living on without you?
I am a fool. You know that, so how do you expect me to survive without you. Please, Han Taehyun, I beg of you to wake up. If you do that, I will do whatever you want. I will be obedient to you, so please open your eyes. I am sorry; I really am,” Lee Jinhee voiced out as more tears continued to fall down her eyes, coming in contact with Taehyun’s hand.
