Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 313
She answered, “Regarding all that, my mood would have been worse if Taehyun was not in the coma. I guess, my thoughts are all on Han Taehyun.”
“After you died, hmm, Han Taehyun totally collapsed, and both of us blamed ourselves for being unable to prevent your death. He was more hurt by it than me I suppose.
Han Taehyun’s situation worsened as time passed by, and after that man was beheaded, Taehyun was sent back to his family. Soon enough, I got the news of how he passed away as well. He committed suicide as well,” Jaehyun vocalised.
Hearing those words from Jaehyun caused a gasp to leave Jinhee’s mouth, and tears formed at the corner of her eyes. It was as if the history was being repeated. Last time as well he had died because of her.
“I-I, t-this, w-why d-did h-he h-have to do that? I would have never done that if Han Taehyun were to take his life at the very end. This is absolutely terrible. I-I…” Jinhee vocalised.
She did not know what to say at this moment, but she was well aware of how Kim Jaehyun understood those feelings of hers without having to reveal them completely.
“Soon enough, I found out how Kwon Youngmi was the Mastermind behind all of this, but when I found out about it, it was too late for me to do anything about it. I was poisoned to death at that moment,” Jaehyun confessed.
“All of us had a tragic ending it seems,” Jinhee commented in a low voice as she placed another piece of cake inside her mouth. She truly did not feel like eating more of the cake before here.
“We indeed did,” Jaehyun vocalised, “Given another chance, I wanted to cause changes and win your heart. But I suppose that was not possible.”
Lee Jinhee nodded her head and voiced out, “After talking to you, I feel slightly calmer. I guess I just have to hold on to the hope that Han Taehyun will be waking up at this moment.”
“You can do it, Jinhee-ah. Don’t let yourself break down. He will be waking up,” Jaehyun vocalised.

Although that conversation with Kim Jaehyun had calmed her down considerably yesterday, there was something that had ruined it for her— a nightmare.
She had a nightmare on how Han Taehyun had passed away from that coma, and it was enough to her to jolt up of her bed. It was extremely frightening, and her heart beat rapidly within her chest.
Sweat dripped down her forehead while tears fell from the corner of her eyes. An ominous feeling rose within her, and everytime she had such a feeling, something actually went wrong.
Whilst patting her heart to calm it down, Jinhee mumbled, “No, Jinhee, no. Don’t worry, everything will be going fine. Han Taehyun will be waking up.”
Lee Jinhee was at the Han Mansion currently. Jinhee wanted to stay at the hospital beside Han Taehyun, but Han Jihye, Taehyun’s mother, insisted for her to return to the Han Mansion. Unable to refuse her, Jinhee decided to follow along.
Sitting in the dimly lighted room, Jinhee’s body leaned against the headboard of the bed while she had her eyes wide open. After what she had seen, Jinhee did not think that she will be able to fall asleep tonight or let her eyes close.
She did not want to see that horrible moment of Han Taehyun’s heart stopping its beating once again. Thinking about it was enough to cause a sharp ache spread through Lee Jinhee’s chest.
The suffocating feeling formed within Jinhee once again. Picking up her pillow, Jinhee hugged it closer to her body, and pressing her face against it, she began to shed her tears. Despite of how much she cried, she did not find heralwc being at a lack of tears.
Jinhee did not care if this had made her weak. However, at this point, the only thing she could do was cry— cry as loudly as possible— and hope for someone to save Han Taehyun.
She did not care who played the strings of the fate, but she wanted that person to make Taehyun wake up. Regardless of how much positivity she wanted to spread within herself, it was not possible for her to do so in this state.
At that moment, Lee Jinhee heard the sound of her door opening, and raising her head, she noticed Han Jihye had walked in through her door.
Her cries might have caused Jihye to be at here, and Jinhee could see that a despondent expression sat on her face as well.
After Han Taehyun had fallen into the state of coma, Jihye had been sweet to her the entire time and did not blame her for anything. Lee Jinhee wondered on how she was about to do that.
Maybe from a rational point of view, it was not Jinhee’s fault, but Jihye was Taehyun’s mother, and it was understandable for Jihye to be irrational. It would make more sense to her if Jihye had attempted to curse at her or even try to physically attack.
“Jinhee Dear,” Jihye enunciated while she walked towards Jinhee.
More tears fell down Jinhee’s eyes once she fell on Jihye, and moving closer to Jinhee, Jihye extended her hand towards Jinhee, pulling her into a tight hug. Droplet of tears escaped Jihye’s eyes as well.
“Don’t cry, Dear. Taehyun wouldn’t like that,” Jihye vocalised, “Stay strong; he will be waking up. I know it is difficult for you; I understand your pain as well. But please, Dear, don’t lose hope or give up.”
“Jihye-ssi, how can you not blame? All of this was because of me,” Jinhee vocalised.
“It is because I know that Taehyun would be in worse state if you were the one in that accident and a state of coma. He wouldn’t have been able to live on without you; that’s why, this is better. My Taehyun is a fighter, and he will be waking up.”
