Reborn: The Unexpected Twist - Chapter 314
A month had passed until Han Taehyun had been in coma. Things had not been easy for Jinhee, and as days passed by, her condition worsened.
Over the month, she had a lost a large amount of weight, and she had become paler. Jinhee’s eyes had become dull, and she barely paid attention to her surroundings anymore.
Lee Jinkyung had stopped attending school due to how intense the bullying had become, and with their source of income decreasing, Jinkyung continued her studies at somewhere less expensive.
Jinhee currently resided at the Min Mansion, and she was grateful to her father for allowing her to stay there. Lee Mansion was definitely a place she wanted to avoid.
Over this period of time, Min Hyunbin had grown to become more sensible, and rarely he irritated Jinhee.
Everyone around Lee Jinhee was getting worried for the girl, and as much as they had advised her to take of her health first, she did not pay much heed to it.
It was not as if Jinhee purposely wanted to get herself sick; it was rather that she could not bother with her health when Han Taehyun was lying on that bed.
Han Taehyun’s condition did not worsen neither was there any progress towards him gaining consciousness. Jinhee was not aware of whether or not she should be happy because of that.
Most of her time was spend beside Han Taehyun. She would just be holding his hand while telling stories to him and confessing on her feelings, hoping that he would be hearing them. She wanted Taehyun to understand that she was desperate for him, and without him, her life was utterly impossible.
But seeing no recovery from him despite pouring out all those words to him, Jinhee was close to concluding that Han Taehyun was not hearing those words of hers.
Walking through the hallway of the school absentmindedly, Jinhee found her body bumping into someone. Although it hurt, physical pain was something she had grown to become numb to at this point.
She felt someone grab her shoulders at this moment and was pulled back. A girl stood in front of her— who she recognized to be one of her classmates— and seeing the hostile expression on the girl’s face, Jinhee was aware that the girl wanted to bring in trouble. However, Jinhee was not in any whatsoever mood to deal with that.
Bowing slightly, Jinhee mumbled, “Sorry.”
Pulling away from the girl’s grip on her shoulder, Jinhee was about to walk away when that same girl let out a groan of frustration.
Jinhee was not curious in knowing the reason behind that. Before she could peacefully leave, she felt someone grip her wrist tightly, and before Jinhee could process it, she found herself being pulled back by someone.
The girl pushed Jinhee’s back against the wall, and a sharp pain spread through her back. After that push, Jinhee found herself feeling slightly dizzy, but soon enough, she had recovered from that.
Looking at the girl with a bored expression, Jinhee questioned, “What do you two need?”
The expression on Jinhee’s face did not please the girl before her at all, and it seemed to have angered the girl further. At that moment, Jinhee found herself being quite enraged herself, and she was not in the mood to deal with someone else’s temper.
“Lee Jinhee, you are really pathetic; I hope you know that. Sooner or later, the Han family is going to come at you for revenge,” the Girl voiced out, “But before that, let me have some kind of fun with you. It has been a long time since I have let out my anger, and you seem to be the perfect person for it.”
“Ah! Is that what you think, Min Haeun?” Jinhee questioned after she had vaguely recalled of her name.
It was normal for students at this school to look for weak students to let their anger out on, and in that moment, Jinhee appeared to be the weak student it seemed.
“Yes, you do know that it should have been you in that bed. Han Taeho was really an idiot for saving your life. I am sure you are well aware of that. But that Taeho had made a good joke out of you. He was engaged to you yet he showed up on news more with your sister,” Haeun said.
The ache within Jinhee’s head was starting to increase, and she was in no mood to deal with the nonsense Haeun was intending to throw at her. Sooner or later, Jinhee might mistakenly lose her temper and might end up doing something she will be deeply regretting.
“If that is what you want to say, then move away from my face. I am in no mood to deal with your nonsense,” she stated, “I know I pushed you, and I apologise for that. But other than that, we don’t know each other, so let me go.”
“Are you still this arrogant after all of that you have done? You should be scared, Lee Jinhee. Maybe Han Taeho should just die. Then, you will be—”
Hearing the word of Taeho’s death from Haeun mouth snapped the last string that held Jinhee in control, and before she could porcess what was going on, Jinhee connected her fist with Haeun’s face, afraid that Haeun will be saying worse things.
The words on Han Taehyun’s death was not something Jinhee wished to here, and hearing someone wishing for Taehyun to die was worse.
“Shut up!” Jinhee exclaimed.
Taken aback by that sudden punch, Haeun took out of steps backward, and it seemed that Jinhee had put in a huge amount of strength into that punch. Blood flowed down Haeun’s nose, and a wince left her mouth.
“Are you crazy, Bitch!? How dare you punch me!?” she vocalised.
“Haeun, if you utter such words again, I can be worse. Remember that, and that’s why, think hundreds of time before opening that mouth of yours.”
