Reborn To Become A Heavenly Serpent - Chapter 21
“Hahaha… I didn’t even do anything other than unwrapping my eyes and yet they got frightened so much. Hahaha. Am I that terrifying? and here I thought that a serpent was supposed to be good looking among any other monster”
Hiro chuckled as he slowly raised his head upwards.
The towering height of his head being lifted alone stands at 20 meters. The surrounding birds immediately flocked away from their respective nest as the smaller animals around the area escaped frantically after seeing the abrupt appearance of a gigantic serpent head.
“I sure have grown so much during this one month. Though I had not evolved yet. It was all because of my body growth skills that I become like this.”
From above… one could easily discern a massive serpent 60 meters in length while its head protruded high above the small surrounding trees. The length alone could easily cross the entire river.
“During this one month, I did gain a large number of points but all of them came from fish and small creatures. I had never bothered to hunt any other king class or emperor class monsters. Because that would be foolish and go against my principles”
“And those humans just now… they are not the only group that appears here today. I can sense many other groups nearby. But for what exactly?… is there some type of an event?.”
Hiro mulled over for a moment as he rubbed his scaly head with his tail.
“Should I go and check it out?… I mean they pose no threat to me in any way. Just a bunch of ants… even if they called out for even more backup it won’t change anything.”
After mumbling that… Hiro slowly slithered his way into the forest as his body smashed many trees along the way. Surely his movement can easily be obvious but he can’t help it due to his size.
A lengthy gully could be seen trailing behind his tail as he slithered forward. With a width of 2 meters and roughly half a meter deep. Hiro is simply giving favor to nature… making an artificial stream for water.
To reduce his presence… he dropped his head slightly down to 10 meters as he kept pushing forward. He thought of this plan as a masterpiece but clearly, even a toddler could think of something better.
‘The greatest place to hide is in plain sight!’
he thought to himself.
Around 200km ahead… a group of young men and women encircled by hundred of guards are strolling about. But this section of the forest is a bit different from the other.
Not only the trees here are dull in color. These trees are also extremely thin with no leaves on them.
The ground is dark murky gray with not even a single grass all around. The only living thing that could be seen there would be the small and dark wriggling worm.
“Senior Weyn… are you this is the accurate path?”
Inquired an Old man towards a woman that seems to be in her thirties.
“I’m pretty sure this is the correct way… according to this map that is. We have no other lead other than this map”
She answered back unhurriedly as she glanced towards the map that she’s currently holding.
“But senior if we follow this direction… we will soon arrive into the death worm emperor territory. This map is a total fraud!”
The old man responded once again…
“I know… all we have to do is to evade the monster then.”
“B-but that’s an emperor class monster! senior!”
“It’s fine… I can handle it though it will take time.”
Finally… since he can’t win the stubborn woman to follow his advice. He stopped… and just let fate take its course of the event.
“Sigh… then we will have to rely on Senior when we will be facing the emperor.”
he sighed silently…
“As for you youngsters… when I will be fighting. Make sure not to run around and stick close to Elder Li…”
Turning back toward the group of young men and women she quickly announced all of these.
“Yes, senior we will!”
They respond in unison.
“Good!”
she nodded in satisfaction… and then she shifted his gaze towards the middle of the crowd.
“Ren you lead and keep the group in touch. Make sure everyone follows as ordered.”
Suddenly in the middle of the crowd… a slightly handsome man with long black hair stood out as he smiled and bowed politely.
“Yes, senior… I will make sure they follow the rules.”
While saying this… he slowly tossed a glance towards another boy at the edge of this group.
This boy is a bit more handsome than him but his outfit implied either that he is poor or doesn’t like to spend money on clothes.
‘Humph this trash… today will be the day!… I will get rid of you and enter Mei Mei sight. Do you think you are better than me?… you’re just a poor bumpkin that somehow managed to enter the academy.’
He swore loudly inside his heart as his eyes flickered with a touch of hatred and jealousy.
