Reborn with Steve Stand - Chapter 727: Magical Girl's Tentacle Equipment
“Are you serious? Have you gone mad with your obsession?” Hearing Fang Mo’s words, his nearby partner couldn’t help but retort, “If you’re sick, go get treated. Don’t act crazy here.”
“Sorry, this can’t be cured.”
However, Fang Mo suddenly grinned mischievously, “Because it’s the Black Death…”
“…”
This left the other person speechless.
“Look, it’s covered in gold and silver treasures. It must have stolen them.” Seeing everyone’s silence, Fang Mo pointed to the giant black octopus not far away, “And it’s black-skinned, which triggers my hunter instinct, okay?”
“You’ve been ruined by black people in your life, you can’t speak normally.”
Xiao Yao sighed.
“Tsk, women are just troublesome.”
Fang Mo impatiently waved his hand, “Squid… I’ll call it a squid, is that okay?”
However, as soon as he said this, the giant black octopus seemed to understand, and suddenly became displeased. It slammed a few tentacles on the ground and charged forward.
Although this creature is a lump of soft-bodied animal and moves slowly, its burst speed was surprisingly strong. At this moment, its whole body tilted and started spinning madly. To be honest, this almost defied the laws of physics… but in a magical world, it’s normal. In any case, it rolled towards everyone like a big tire.
“Ha? Rebelling, are we?”
Seeing this, Fang Mo raised an eyebrow, “Instead of fleeing, you chose to approach me, pretending to be some kind of Black Gold Star… Get lost!”
With a shout.
Fang Mo kicked it directly.
With a bang, the giant black octopus flew backward even faster, crashing into the archway of the temple with a splat, spraying a large amount of black-green liquid, like a viscous liquid firework exploding on the wall.
“Yikes… how disgusting.”
Summon turned her head away, having never seen such a scene.
Despite Fang Mo’s powerful kick, which would have turned an ordinary person into a blood mist, the giant black octopus didn’t die.
Perhaps soft-bodied creatures have stronger resilience.
Even so, the giant black octopus was clearly injured, its huge eyes revealing human-like fear, and it started wriggling its tentacles. Suddenly, a large group of octopus monsters emerged from beneath it.
There were unexpectedly many octopus monsters.
It felt like they were inexplicably emerging from its body, falling down like dumplings, instantly filling the surroundings with various octopus monsters.
“What a disgusting swarm of ants!”
Seeing this, Surtr in the distance couldn’t help but react.
He probably wanted to show off in front of Fang Mo, so he raised his Twilight Sword, ready to stab and kill the octopus with one strike.
However, at this moment, the nearby Thousand Hands suddenly raised its hand to stop him.
“Hmm?”
Surtr was puzzled.
“Don’t kill it.” Fang Mo’s voice came over, “Why destroy such a good farming tool? I’ve told you many times, let’s not always resort to killing… Remember, your surname is Su, not Gei.”
“Uh… okay.”
Surtr didn’t understand, but nodded stiffly, “Sorry.”
“No problem.”
Fang Mo waved his hand and then took out a ring from somewhere, putting it on his finger, “Let’s capture it first.”
“!”
The giant black octopus seemed to understand human speech. Hearing Fang Mo, it froze, then immediately used its tentacles to slap the surrounding walls, twisting its body and crawling away.
Near the entrance of the First Spinal Temple, there was a small puddle.
The giant black octopus jumped, splashing into the water, and then rapidly submerged.
The ecosystem on the Behemoth Beast was peculiar. Despite being a giant whale, there were abundant water resources, including rivers. This puddle connected to a river not far away, and the black octopus seemed intent on escaping.
But it wasn’t just running away.
It had used its tentacles to slap the walls, and the temple, already shaking from its collision, started to crumble.
With a few crisp cracking sounds, the ground began to shake, and many tentacles suddenly emerged from the temple.
Fang Mo looked up and saw that these were Lotus’s tentacles. As the eighth apostle, it seemed to have a title like ‘Wielder of a Thousand Weapons,’ so its tentacles were numerous, likely spread throughout the temple like plant roots.
“Goodness.”
Fang Mo couldn’t help but comment, “A magical girl’s dream palace…”
“Stop babbling.”
Xiao Yao reminded him, “If you dawdle any longer, the monster will escape. If you want to capture it, do it quickly.”
“Huh?”
Fang Mo was momentarily stunned, then realized, “Oh crap… where’s my squid? Where’s my big squid?”
“It twisted its body and escaped into the water.”
Xiao Yao rolled its eyes.
“What?” Fang Mo was shocked, “A squid that loves diving?”
“You’ll end up in hell for your jokes.” Xiao Yao, arms crossed, said, “And Satan will show you why you’re there. You’d watch your hell jokes and laugh at them.”
“Then I might as well create my own hell.”
Fang Mo thoughtfully touched his chin, “Hmm… now that you mention it, it does seem feasible. For instance, I could set a rule that anyone who hears my hell jokes and laughs will be sent to this hell after death.”
“Then you hand them a list of hell jokes, showing them why they’re in hell? And Kobe would see many people there because of him…”
Xiao Yao sighed, “Such Mephistophelian behavior.”
“Heh heh.”
Fang Mo laughed happily at this and said, “It’s Fang Mo Fisto now.”
“Give me a break.” Xiao Yao almost laughed too, kicking him lightly. “Get back to work and stop making those offensive jokes.”
“Alright, alright, I won’t mention squids anymore.”
Fang Mo dodged and walked towards a small puddle. “How about I call it a jellyfish?”
He kept babbling as he got busy with a group of octopus monsters.
He clasped his hands together, and a void ring shone. A large repulsive force field formed into a massive sphere, which compressed rapidly toward the temple.
“Shinra Tensei,” he said.
With his words, the octopus monsters, buildings, ground, and huge orange-red tentacles were all violently compressed together. With a loud bang, blood spurted everywhere, leaving a massive sphere of flesh and debris that crashed to the ground.
“Ugh…”
Summoni covered her mouth, looking nauseous at the scene.
But Fang Mo didn’t stop. He raised his hand again, aiming at a puddle not far away.
“Bansho Ten’in.”
Under the immense gravitational force, the water surface began to boil. A giant black octopus submerged in the water was forcibly dragged out, as if an invisible hand was gripping it roughly, pulling it towards Fang Mo.
When the giant black octopus was close enough, Fang Mo stepped forward and drew out the Manyullyn cleaver, thrusting it downwards.
With a thud, the giant black octopus was nailed to the ground. It struggled in pain, spewing ink, but all its efforts were in vain against Fang Mo. Eventually, its strength waned.
“Okay, it’s done.”
After this, Fang Mo turned to Summon. “Summon, what do you think of this creature?”
“What?”
Summon was stunned.
“What are you waiting for?” Fang Mo urged. “Come over and contract it. Did you think I would actually give you Lotus? This black tentacle beast is good enough for you.”
“What!?”
Summon took two steps back in shock. “No, no, I don’t want this… take it away!”
“What? Are you rejecting this black beast?”
Fang Mo frowned. “Do you want me to accuse you of racism?”
“Which of us is being racist here?” Summon shouted while retreating. “You’ve been using derogatory terms the whole time!”
“Fine, I’ll put it another way.”
Fang Mo impatiently waved his hand. “Hurry up and contract this tentacle beast, or it’s going to die.”
“Damn it…”
Even Xiao Yao frowned at this point.
“Boss, it seems the ladies have issues with your naming sense.” Manyullyn Cleaver couldn’t help but interject. “Why not call it Kuro Maru instead? An octopus can be made into takoyaki, so calling it Kuro Maru makes sense, right?”
“Gulp…”
As they discussed, the giant black octopus twitched twice and its tentacles went limp as if it had died.
“Boss, this black thing seems to be suffocating!”
Manyullyn Cleaver exclaimed. “I didn’t kneel on it! You know I don’t have knees!”
“Alright, stop messing around.”
Fang Mo rubbed his temples in frustration, then pulled out the cleaver and stored it. Enchanting these weapons with life had proven to be a troublesome decision.
Cursing his earlier actions, Fang Mo picked up the giant black octopus with one hand and stuffed two golden apples into its mouth.
After feeding it the apples, the octopus’s body trembled violently. Its wounds healed instantly, and it grew larger.
Golden apples and enchanted golden apples could transform mortals into gods, and the same applied to other creatures.
The giant black octopus wriggled painfully. Its smooth black skin became rough and rugged, its tentacles grew thicker and stronger, and it expanded until it was a multi-story tall monster. Each tentacle looked incredibly tough, like super-compressed rubber.
Eventually, it became a creature between a mollusk and an echinoderm, covered in blue-black spines. Its eyes had degenerated, replaced by countless light-sensitive cells, resembling the sea demon summoned by Gilles in the Holy Grail War.
“This…”
Summon was stunned.
Fang Mo, however, wasted no words. Seeing the octopus had evolved, he pressed his hand on it.
The octopus was enveloped in a twisted spatial vortex, its body stretched like dough, then rotated and vanished into a ring.
“All done.”
After sealing it, Fang Mo beckoned to Summon. “Come, take your gear.”
“What gear…?”
Summon walked over reluctantly.
“This is the gear for a magical girl’s graduation.” Fang Mo explained casually, tossing the ring to him. “You didn’t want to contract it, so try wearing it.”
“Hmm?”
Summon reluctantly took the ring, examining it. The ring was a green metal band with a fragment embedded in it, but now it had changed.
It was still a metal band, but now an eyeball rotated on the setting, surrounded by creepy tentacles wrapped around the band, looking like an eye-tentacle monster fused with the ring.
“This…”
Summon stared at the ring nervously. Before she could say anything, tentacles extended from the ring, wrapping around her wrist.
“Ahhhh!!!”
She screamed and tried to shake it off, but it wouldn’t budge. She turned to Fang Mo for help. “Help me! I don’t want this gear!”
“Sorry, it’s bound to you now.”
Fang Mo shrugged, enjoying the spectacle.
