Reclaiming the Demon’s Curse - Chapter 215
Awakening in the streets or some public spaces is not something new at all.
However, this is a very crucial part of someone’s life so it must be taken care of properly to ensure the safety of the Awakened during the process.
After setting up the Array to protect Karen, she immediately dialed the Association’s number to inform them about the situation.
This way, even if Karen bursts with her Aura, there will be a group of people who can assist her. After all, learning to control the Aura inside the body takes a lot of time.
The World Organization even created a limiter tattoo for those people who had difficulties learning them.
“Whew~ I didn’t think she’ll awaken at this time…” Melody bitterly smiled after arranging everything for her sister.
She can only pray that the Outbreak on Winston Street would be contained and not reach this park at all.
In the meantime, she decided to check the news about the battle going on at Flushdenn City.
The Vampires should’ve been attacked by the group of S-Rank Awakened already.
“Eh? A-Rank Cyril Vermont was included? How did this happen? I know he’s strong but why would he team up with the S-Ranks? Does he has a special Artifact?”
Melody was confused as soon as she read one of the articles published by the Association on their website.
Since this is a huge matter, the Association is always providing information about the current situation within the City.
A lot of eyes are looking at the situation after all.
“I guess he’s really not a simple guy… He definitely has someone supporting him in the background. There’s no way he could equal those other A-Ranks who grew up in a family of Arcane Explorers and trained since childhood.”
Melody muttered as she really felt mysterious about this guy.
When she taught him her Barbaric Impaler, he grasp the essence of the Spear Art so easily even though he should’ve never held such a weapon before. Most importantly, he’s only eighteen but it was as if he already has a lot of battle experience!
It is very weird but she just couldn’t say it in front of Cyril…
“Ugh… I’m thinking of him again… This guy, he had just gotten out of his High-Class Arcane World Exploration and he’s already fighting here. Haa~ I wonder, did he get something in his exploration?’
Melody mused for a while as she doesn’t have anything else to do.

About three more hours had passed and the night gradually approaches… However, before it even gets dark, the Flushdenn City became filled with shouts of victory as the soldiers, guilds, and even volunteer groups of Awakened finally defeated every last bit of Vampires within the City.
The city is filled with the Vampires’ ashes as well as rubbles from the destroyed buildings caused by many explosions, either caused by Magic or modern weapons.
Nevertheless, many of them still felt happy seeing that they can no longer find any Vampires in the City! Even if it resulted in thousands of casualties, they have at least avenged them
Even if someone was still hiding, there was no way they can still create chaos within the city.
“Haaa~ Finally!”
Asta dropped to the ground after confirming the Death of the Vampire Prince. The Vampire turned to ashes and didn’t even leave a decent item. Well, it is mostly because of their relentless attacks that even the Vampire’s weapons are destroyed during the battle.
Arnold, on the other hand, had lost his right arm but he’s still alive thanks to the Potion provided by the Timeless Alchemy.
“That blood curse included in their blood magic was really removed…” Arnold muttered as soon as he drank the mid-grade potion made by Bonnie.
“Yeah… I didn’t know that this small country already advanced to such an extent. If I know about the existence of this potion before, my team would’ve probably survived…” Katelyn softly replied as she stare at the dark liquid inside the potion bottle. Before she joined Aeon’s grand plan, she seem to have been a normal Arcane Explorer before as she sighed deeply.
The potion they have looks disgusting but, incredibly, it has such a miraculous effect.
She can also smell the various expensive herbs and rare ingredients used to create this potion. It was no wonder why the supply is extremely limited for this one…
‘Body Rejuvenation Potion. I should check the store capable of making this thing… Miss Aeon should know of this.’ Katelyn thought as she kept the bottle in her pocket.
Although she’s also injured, normal healing potions would be more than enough for that.

As the Vampires have been annihilated through everyone’s help, Cyril decided to leave this place as well since he’s already drained.
Thud! Thud!
A couple of Star Garnet stones dropped to the ground as they turned into normal rocks after emptying the Aura it contains.
The Star Garnet Stones that were mined by the Red Goblins could barely help an S-Rank after all. Perhaps he needed to consume thousands of them to completely refill his Aura.
It is not cost-effective at all considering only 10 or so is required to fill an F-Rank’s Aura…
“Haa~ I should get a decent reward for this… That’s still three years of my life.” Cyril muttered as he looked at his Magi’s Robe. Although there is no blood in it, it is currently filled with dirt so he decided to trigger its cleansing ability.
After using the skill, Cyril felt a bit refreshed and it was at this moment he glanced at the Shelter that he previously protected.
“Hmmm… What’s going on?”
Cyril felt something wrong inside the shelter. However, he can see that the Array protecting it is still working fine although it was heavily damaged by the Vampire Knights trying to slice it open.
Cyril looked around and noticed there is no one coming here to assist them yet so he decided to let the people inside that everything is already safe outside.
As soon as the Awakened guarding the Array noticed Cyril’s signal, they quickly decided to deactivate the Array…
Bam!
The doors of the shelter opened.
There are about 300 to 400 people inside and it seems that something is wrong after Cyril noticed their faces.
“Help! Help! We need to bring them to the hospital!”
“Where are the rescuers?!”
A few leaders came out and asked Cyril.
“They should be coming any minute by now. We just defeated the vampires and I already informed them that the shelter here is fine. May I ask what’s going on?” Cyril asked curiously.
Most of the people inside appear to be students at the nearest school… The ones who spoke to Cyril are wearing teacher’s clothes they seem to be in a state of panic.
“It should be Aura Poisoning! My students haven’t Awakened yet! We need to bring them to that hospital immediately!”
Cyril grimaced as soon as he heard the cause of their panic.
Aura Poisoning is not something that a hospital could easily fix as well. Aside from that, during the Aura Poisoning, the first 15 minutes is the most crucial part since it could easily lead to death.
As a matter of fact, just within 10 minutes of Aura Poisoning, the body would already start destroying deteriorating… If nothing is done, at that time, the ones affected would have irreversible damage in their bodies even if they managed to stay alive.
“Tsk… How long had passed? How many of them are affected?” Cyril immediately asked.
“It’s only about 10 minutes, Sir. My whole class was affected… There are forty of them. W-what should we do?”
The woman asked filled with worry. She seems to be in her thirties as she as her teary eyes looked at Cyril. They have been inside the shelter for over five days now and although the shelter can supposedly last them for three months, no one could predict what can happen inside.
Just like now, during the intense battle against the Vampires and as the Vampire Knights tried to forcefully open their shelter, Aura seeped within the shelter and affected the non-Awakened students for long hours…
A few minutes may be fine but to be exposed for a prolonged period is too dangerous.
As soon as the foreign Aura entered their bodies, it would be attached to their spirit and forcefully transform their spirit to turn them into Awakened.
This might sound really good but no one has ever survived this kind of process, this is the reason why it’s called Aura Poisoning… This must be stopped at all costs or the young students will be killed at this rate.
“We made sure none of the teachers use their Aura… We even have a limiter for the sake of our students and it will only break if we really forced ourselves. This must’ve been done by those Vampires!”
“P-principal… There’s no time to blame the Vampires. We need to rescue our students first!” The middle-aged woman said as she glanced at the students that were in pain as they lay on the ground.
Cyril looked at them with pity as he asked Xagan.
