Records Of Barton’s Fantastical Events - Chapter 161
Chapter 30 Unintentional
Zach didn’t exaggerate what happened to Amanda, on the contrary, he downplayed it. After all, the young female caregiver was still with Mrs. Quinn.
So in Zach’s narrative, when Pooky’s eyes widened with anticipation, Zach would deliberately misinterpret Pooky’s true expression and say:
“You don’t have to worry, it just looked serious, but they were all superficial injuries.” Zach comforted the emotionally anxious Pooky, “Amanda is fine now and she doesn’t even have a scar! ”
Pooky carefully prioritized his different emotions. The anger towards Zach should come first, then the pity that the damn old woman wasn’t injured. In terms of Amanda, mhm… she could be ignored.
With Zach in the same room now, Pooky made the first expression..
“Yeah, yeah.” Zach smiled and waved his hand, “I’m also very angry, even the church west of our Grandeur funeral House, you remember, the Church of the Holy Child.” Zach, of course, would ignore Pooky’s anger and continue on with his story, “Even the Church of the Holy Child had a little accident.”
Zach blinked and looked at Pooky, “Of course, you would not know what I’m talking about, so I will explain it to you” Zach smiled as he watched Pooky’s body twitch the belt behind him. “These are all minor accidents, none of which could compare to the collapse of St. Mary’s Church.”
When Pooky was locked up in the Sanatorium, the situation in Barton city was indeed a bit interesting. He missed the ‘Barton City High School Rugby League’, missed the city government’s re-planning of the cemetery, missed the incident that Hermann lost his son, missed the new generation of Barton, missed the rise and disappearance of the cult…
As Zach selfishly ignored Pooky’s real emotional reaction and continued to speak, Pooky gradually accepted such a situation.
Zach was not a TV, and Pooky did not have the ability to change channels. He could only passively receive the information, but this was the only meaningful thing in his life now.
Pooky bent to this reality reluctantly, finally calming down completely during the second half of Zach’s narration. Of course, one could think that this was the reason why Zach talked about Barton city.
If the vampire does psychological counseling, he will definitely be good at it. After all, he has a hypnotizing eye, which will give him a big advantage.
“To be honest, I don’t like Mr. Quest.” Zack pursed his lips. His throat was a little dry, but unfortunately, there was no water here, Zach could only shake his head disappointedly.
Now he seemed to speak of very recent events, “I just saw him outside again.” Zach stood up to stretch his body. He pressed one hand against the soft wall, looked toward Pooky, and said with ‘malicious’ intent while smiling, “Maybe you two are neighbors?”
Pooky had pretty much understood that his emotions were unable to affect the other guy at all, so he just made a stern face and looked at Zach, watching this guy wantonly ‘toy’ with him.
Zach stretched his arms, ignoring the warning about ‘going near Pooky’, and walked around the small room that indeed looked a bit depressing. At first, the padded walls that were covered made Zach a little curious, but by the end of the hour, he began to feel a little tired of it.
“What about you?” Zach smiled and looked seriously at Pooky who had been toyed with by him. “Did anything interesting happen to you in these two months?”
Pooky’s chest rose and fell rapidly under the restrained of crossed arms
“Ah! What a pity.” Zach glanced in the direction of the exit, and with a ‘sincere’ smile, he looked back at Pooky, “Time is up, we will continue next time. If there will be the next time.”
The door opened.
Two male nurses entered and looked at Zach, who turned his head with a smile. They turned their heads sideways and said coldly, “It’s time.”
“Time really flies away quickly!” Zach smiled and nodded to the two of them. He looked at Pooky one last time and walked out of the room.
As the sound of struggle resumed, Zach let Pooky keep one last bit of his dignity and exited the room without looking back. Just like when the restraints were put on Pooky, the process of two strong male nurses undoing them would not be very comforting.
Zach stood by the doorway and waited. Wandering randomly in a place like this obviously would not be allowed. While waiting for the nurses to settle Pooky, Zach looked around bored.
The main unit of this building was not underground, it was actually the first floor. There were no windows on the surrounding walls. The light source was entirely artificial light, coupled with the enclosed space, it became difficult to keep track of time.
Suddenly, a blonde woman in formal dress passed through the wall and appeared in front of Zach. She seemed to be thinking about something and didn’t notice Zack who raised his eyebrows.
Zach snapped his fingers to attract Crowlie’s attention.
Her golden hair which seemed to defy the law of physics were floating in the air, they left a golden afterimage in the air when she turned her head
Crowlie raised her eyebrows, and their eyes met. There was no one who was at a disadvantage because someone had leverage, and both sides didn’t have a formal appointment. They unintentionally bumped into each other!
The two male nurses exited the room and signaled to Zach. One stayed, moved back his chair, and sat down, while the other had already stepped forward to take Zach out.
Zach looked straight ahead. As he passed Crowlie, his light green eyes turned, but the place where his gaze focused was not Crowlie, but the room behind her from where she had just come out.
By some coincidence, they really were neighbors. Hopefully, they would never know this. Zach thought.
As Zach followed the spiral staircase up to leave the 1st floor, the light first dimmed and then gradually brightened. When going down from above, he didn’t notice it, but now he could clearly feel the sunlight coming in from above.
Zach looked up and smiled helplessly. The funny guy was still on the stairs when he came out, and he still popped out most of his body again to giggle like a child at him. Zach shrugged and waved at him. The other party giggled more happily.
Before the male nurse in front of Zach picked up the whistle, the funny guy suddenly paled. He screamed and backed away, leaning against the wall behind him. He curled himself up and trembled while holding his body.
The male nurse and Zach frowned at the same time. The nurse gave Zach a soothing look and quickened his pace. When he opened the door quickly and wanted Zach to leave the stairwell, Zach looked back at Crowlie.
The floating woman tilted her head, looked at the trembling human curiously, then looked suspiciously at the vampire, and pointed at herself.
‘Is it because of me? ‘
