Reds Reset - Chapter 156
Gabriel swung his arm, throwing Link”s body to the side as it slid on the ground. He stared at the still beating organ in his hand with a toothy smile. His razor sharp teeth peeked, sending fear to all who faced them. He brought the heart closer to his face and opened his maw, throwing the whole thing in there.
“Give me your power!!” Gabriel thought as he bit down on it.
BLERGH!
A loud cough echoed as Gabriel spat out smoke. His menacing eyes had a hint of confusion.
“What is happening?” He muttered, turning to look at the now non existing corpse.
“This can”t b…” Gabriel failed to finish his phrase as a sudden powerful slash passed clean through him. He looked down at his torso, only to see his upper half sliding down slowly as his body was cut in half. A loud boom resounded. The attack continued forward, further destroying what once was a City.
“You”re alive?” Gabriel muttered as he barely moved his head, looking at the person standing behind him.
Link held one of his daggers tightly. Its glow slowly dimmed with each passing second.
10 Million Points vanished from Link”s Mana Bar. Nearing its end.
“I knew you were stronger, so I sent my clone to give it a try. Unfortunately, it failed, so a sneak attack is all I could do” Link explained to the dying man. Gabriel now started to turn back into his human form as his fur fell and his body slowly changed.
“I never thought the Shadow Dive skill would be this useful!” Link thought.
The Skill that allowed Link to sink into the ground was none other than Shadow Dive. The sun was still asleep as the moon took control. He used the darkness as a cover, sending out his clone.
Link still wished to give it his best, so he controlled the clone and fought Gabriel with everything he”s got. He used all his deadly skills that would be useful in a one on one fight. But it was all for nothing as he ended up losing.
Gabriel was cursed. With Zero”s help, Link understood a few things.
Vampires were the servants of the God of the Dead. While Werewolves were the servants of the God of Nature.
In ancient times, a certain tribe of humans committed a sin that was unforgivable. Although the exact details were lost in the passage of time, the story still lived.
Their deed caused the God of Nature to awaken, uncaring about the rules as she went down amidst mortals. Dropping her judgment and cursed this tribe with a lifetime of servitude.
This curse was passed from generation to generation. And Gabriel was one of them. They were given longer lifespans, more strength and Agility than others. But what was their punishment exactly is still unknown.
This greatly interested Link, but not enough to keep such a dangerous individual alive to question.
The sudden appearance of notifications excited Link, but after reading them he was disappointed.
“Useless!” Link muttered.
He knew full well that Gabriel was strong, but that was only because he was of a higher level than him, plus the boost from his transformation did not things any easier.
Facing a Werebeast like that would probably never happen again, which was the cause for Link”s uninterest in the Skill.
With that done with, Link started looting the Battlefield. He took Gabriel”s now damaged equipment and everything of value in the castle before remembering the girls he saved.
With a quick flight, Link reached the tent, but he quickly shook his head as he turned and flew away.
Inside the tent were the bodies of the girls with their necks cut open. Blades sat gently in their hands as their lifeless bodies were finally at peace.
“Was that why they asked for weapons?” Link thought as he continued flying.
The loot was not the only positive thing Link gained from this. Other than helping his friend with his vengeance, he gained a couple of levels.
Especially from Gabriel. He managed to Level up instantly just from killing him.

Link added both his Status Points into Strength. He wanted to reach 20 before focusing again on Agility.
With all his business done with, Link decided it was time to break the emblem and head back to the Academy. He had no more reasons to stay, and honestly he was sick and tired of this Continent and all the travel.
He grabbed a shiny looking item from his Inventory and with a light push. It snapped in two.
Link was supposed to wait there until someone came for him, but none did.
An hour passed. Then a day. And there were still no signs of the Academy Staff.
“What is happening?” Link thought, worried.
