Reincarnated As A Saiyan In RWBY - Chapter 180
“So what do you plan to do now? You have already helped us by killing the Grimm. Are you going to head back to Vale?” Winter asked.
She wanted to know if he could come with them to make sure that they could make it there. She found it odd that they were attacked by a strong Grimm when they were nowhere near the strong Grimms territory.
“I do want to know how did you all destroy the other two heads.” Shallot asked since he saw that two of the heads were destroyed even before he got here.
“The other two heads were already destroyed when it attacked. We thought that maybe it had attacked another group before us and attacked us after being wounded.” Winter said.
Shallot rubbed his chin thinking that it was interesting. Grimm wasn’t territorial against other Grimm. They only attacked humans and Faunus which means that there is something that managed to damage it.
“Was there something that managed to drive the Grimm towards this direction?” Shallot asked since they were here, to begin with.
Winter shook her head in denial.
“It was only the Dragon Grimm that attacked and took out 2 of our ships before we knew we were being attacked. I slowed it with my Glyphs while also speeding our ship’s speed.” Winter said while looking around at the rest of the soldiers.
She could see that they were working on the ship’s engine and turbines. Others were setting a perimeter to ensure they weren’t attacked by any stray Grimm that may have noticed the crash.
The guard came back over and had another message for Winter.
“Excuse me, there seems to be no Grimm in the area.” The guard Tarlock said while looking around.
Tarlock had a bad feeling since Grimm are usually everywhere and if something bad happens they swarm the location like a fly on shit.
“Isn’t that a good thing?” One of the soldiers on the side said while looking through some binoculars.
Shallot looked into the distance while focusing and noticed that there wasn’t any Grimm.
“That’s weird?” Shallot said while looking.
“Yo, Ralph! We need your help in fixing the engine over here.” Someone called out for the soldier that was looking through the binoculars.
“You do realize that I’m supposed to be looking out for danger,” Ralph said while walking over to the group that was calling him.
“Yeah, but you suck at fighting and are better at fixing things.” One of the engineers said.
Shallot was looking around and didn’t feel like he was in danger but he thought something was wrong. He would since for any Grimm to be nearby but since they didn’t have a lot of ki it didn’t help.
It was always weird to sense for them. They were living but not complete. If he had to sense for them through life force it would only show the outside of their body but the inside would be empty.
Winter was paying attention to how Shallot looked around and thought he did things like a professional hunter. She also thought that it was nice to see that someone as strong as Shallot was still cautious.
Shallot knew that even if he could one-shot all the Grimm he was still susceptible to chemicals.
“Any idea on why the Grimm aren’t attacking?” Winter asked Shallot.
Winter had been trying to contact Ironwood once the communications were back. It had connected for a bit before it dropped. She thought that maybe something was blocking the connection but find nothing wrong.
*Ring Ring*
Shallot’s scroll rang seeing that it was from Ruby.
“Hey Ruby, everything ok.” Shallot asked.
“Yeah, everything is fine. I was just calling because we wanted to know when you would be coming back and if you could grab some carrot cake.” Ruby asked Shallot.
“AND FISH!!! LOTS OF FISH!!!” Shallot could hear Blake in the background calling for fish.
Shallot smiled at that and made sure that he’ll grab some fish while he’s in Atlas.
“I’ll make sure that I get some fish while I’m in Atlas. I heard the there fish are kinda strict though.” Shallot said, only for Ruby to giggle at the joke.
After a bit of talking with Ruby and her putting the scroll on speaker, he got some more orders for him to bring back some souvenirs.
Winter was on the side seeing that Shallot seemed to treat the girls nice and cared about them. She was wondering if her sister was going to fall for him even knowing that he had others. She was looking for a partner herself as she knew that she had maybe another 10 years before she wasn’t in her prime. She didn’t want to end up like her aunt. Old and bitter.
“How long until the ship’s turbines are fixed?” Winter asked while walking over to the engineers.
Shallot was wondering where the Grimm were and what they were up to since they still hadn’t come in their direction.
Shallot flew into the air to see if there was anything that may be leading them away from them. He also wanted to know if there is something that could keep his attention for a bit. He could also use this time to train his ki flexibility.
He had been using the ki thread technique but it is pretty slow. Shallot crossed his legs while floating in the air and started working on ki threads again. He wanted to make them as long as possible while keeping them as deadly as possible.
Shallot was sitting there for two hours while looking at the 2 meters thread that was hanging beneath him with a low humming sound. It wasn’t the longest thread but he was sure that this could take an arm easily if he wasn’t careful.
Shallot dropped the ki thread.
“WATCH OUT BELOW!!!” Shallot called out.
Everyone moved out of the way hearing that. When they looked up they saw something that looked like string floating down. They thought that it wasn’t anything but stayed on the side watching it.
They had seen what happen when he punched the Grimm and anything he did may also be destructive. The ki string got to the ground but instead of stopping it kept going cutting the ground like buŧŧer and kept sinking through the ground.
“Well shit.” Shallot said thinking that it may not stop.
Shallot flew floated back down to the ground and made another ki thread and shot the end of it toward the ki thread below.
Once the ki thread touched it, it didn’t connect but exploded. The ground started shaking with some birds in the trees taking off in every direction.
Shallot floated into the air some while the ground stopped shaking.
“That wasn’t supposed to happen..” Shallot said looking at the ground that had cracked leaving a long line heading into the forest.
