Reincarnated As A Saiyan In RWBY - Chapter 181
The ships were ready for flight and they needed to be on their way to Atlas. The soldiers looked at the cracks that spread all across the ground.
Within the two-hour time of the turbine being fixed, there was still no Grimm. They never found a reason for it but just took it as them having better luck.
Everyone boarded the ships with Tarlock making a fresh link with the ships. Tarlock had a semblance that allowed him to link up with whatever he touched. For every second he touches something he can link the object or person to himself for 1 minute and 36 seconds. The max is 300 seconds or 5 minutes touching something which gives him 8 hours of being linked.
After everyone was ready they all took off with Shallot riding on the same airship as Winter.
“So, what was Weiss like growing up? Was she always so stiff about things?” Shallot asked, standing next to Winter who was sitting on a side chair.
Winter looked at him wondering about whether she should tell him. He was her teammate and knowing about Weiss could make their time as a team will be easier together.
“Weiss has always tried to meet the standards of our father even if it means not doing what she wants.” Winter started to talk about Winter.
Shallot was listening and also talked about himself and that he doesn’t try to live up to anyone else’s expectations. He has his own goals and taking care of his girlfriends is his main concern along with gaining strength.
“What do you need so much strength for? Aren’t you already the strongest?” Winter asked since she couldn’t think of anyone that would be capable of taking down a Titan class Grimm in a single punch.
“Don’t you ever want to find out how far you can push yourself? I want to see how far I can go before my body can’t give anymore. I still haven’t found that limit yet so I keep going. Besides, I know that there are stronger people from where I come from.” Shallot said thinking about Goku, Vegeta, and the rest of the cast of Dragon Ball.
He didn’t have a scouter so he couldn’t measure his own strength. He did think that there may be one in his ship when he was sent off but there was nothing like that. Either they didn’t have them or he was a throw-away.
“If he hit that limit then what are you going to do?” Winter asked as she hadn’t thought he would only care for a couple of things.
Winter had thought that he would have wanted to use his strength to take over and rule like so many in the past who were above everyone else. She thought it was nice that there was someone that just wanted to see how far they could go without pushing their ideals on others.
“Why did you decide to join the military in Atlas? Since you are the oldest of the Schnee, doesn’t that mean that it should be you that would take over the Schnee dust company?” Shallot asked since he wanted to know the reason for Winter to join the military.
Winter looked out the window thinking about how when she left she just wanted to be able to choose what she wanted to do in life.
“It was just a means to an end,” Winter said.
Shallot thought about how Weiss’s card was cut off while they were ordering food.
“Daddy problems?” Shallot asked.
“We didn’t agree on some things so that was one of the reasons why I left. I wanted to see the world and also change things in Atlas for the better. I didn’t attend the Academy but joined the military instead.” Winter said while feeling her scroll buzz.
Winter looked down and could see that it was Ironwood. The connection was back again which means they must be close enough to a communication tower.
“Hello,” Winter answered her scroll.
Winter answered the call and knew that it was Ironwood. She told him that Shallot had arrived and dealt with the Grimm and they were heading back to Atlas now.
She had told him that Shallot was going to stay with them until they reach Atlas.
Winter and Shallot continued talking until Shallot saw some lights appeared in the distance.
“So that is Atlas?” Shallot asked seeing the city.
“The academy is called Atlas. The city itself is called Mantle.” Winter explained.
Shallot looked at the sprawling city that reminded him of more of New York than anything. It was filled with buildings that seemed like apartment buildings stretching as far as the eye could see.
“The city is pretty compact isn’t it?” Shallot asked, seeing the many buildings along with the lights in all the buildings.
The airship started to lower its altitude and flying toward Atlas Academy.. Shallot could tell that the Atlas Academy was better built and looked nicer than the rest of the city.
