Reincarnated as an Energy with a System - Chapter 1656: Purchases
Ning worked through the day again, hoeing only once in a while because of his aches, and rested the remaining time. He watched the people spread the seed, which would apparently take somewhere between a week or 2 weeks to grow to be a stalk.
At that point, they would have to gather all the stalks, flood the fields to be filled with water, and then replant the stalks once again.
After that, it was just a matter of time that they had to wait through before the rice was ready to be harvested.
Ning watched Shara work on the side of the ground, using a hand scythe to cut through the tall grass outside of the fields. She had nothing else to do, so she had to take up that task. It apparently reminded her of when she took care of the yard outside of her own house.
Ning let her distract herself and spent his time going through his newly acquired possible items to buy from the shop. Every time he sat down, he would read a few of the items on the list and then go to work.
With 33 points in total, there were a lot of items that Ning could buy. There were so many choices now that Ning couldn’t even remember them all. There was only so much his human mind could remember.
Although, there was a 22 points costing Cognition improving scroll he could buy to better improve his mental faculties. It was something he would definitely buy if he had points to spare.
For now, there were things on the lower end that he desperately wanted to buy since he had the points to spare for them.
Ning read through the list just to get an idea of what he could get in the future. Most of them were either Scrolls or Potions or ordinary things such as weapons or clothes.
One thing Ning did note was that Potions were temporary for the most part and Scrolls were permanent. Any improvement made through potion would only last so long, which was why scrolls cost so much.
There were 3 items he looked forward to in the future when he gathered these many points again. One of them was a piece of self-mending clothes that he could change the design of every day.
The only issue was that the cloth cost 18 points, and one could only buy it individually. Still, the idea of not having to carry around clothes was a good one for Ning. Since it was also self- mending, he wouldn’t have to ever worry about it being dirty or getting torn up.
Another thing Ning wanted to buy was a weapon of his choice with two random attributes allocated to it. He didn’t know what the attributes were, but he could imagine it would be something along the lines of added sharpness or more killing power.
A spear of such a type would be interesting to get. Although, he already had one at the moment, so he had to wait for that one. Also, it did cost 25 points to buy that weapon, so it was not a cheap weapon.
The last thing he was excited to purchase in the future was weirdly a servant. Once one found enough materials of some sort, they could use a Scroll of Servant Creation to give it life.
The better the materials, the better the servant would come out to be, so Ning would have to find something great to use it on. With it costing 30 points, he would have to make sure to wait for the right moment.
There was one thing that disappointed Ning a little. With so many items to buy, he had hoped there would be another dimensional storage to purchase as well. The one that cost 5 points was too small for him to want to buy, so he wanted something more.
Unfortunately, there was none. The next level after Tiny was probably way more expensive. For now, Ning had already planned on what to do with his points. He wanted to buy three of the four scrolls that improved his physical attributes.
Without hesitation, he clicked on the 3 scrolls, and they appeared out one by one.
The first was the Scroll of Self-healing. With how much pain he would have to go through every day, he needed to heal each time he was wounded. It didn’t even have to be after fighting. Just the work he had done the last few days had been quite painful, with his muscles aching a lot.
The scroll would be quite helpful for that.
He put the other two scrolls by his side and looked at this one. It appeared as an older parchment, rough to the touch, with a thin rope tying it in a knot.
The name ‘Scroll of Self-Healing’ appeared on the outside of the paper multiple times, as if it was stamped all the way through. There was no way of mistaking what he had in his hand.
He opened the knot and immediately the scroll burst into flames, not even ashes lying behind. At the same time, Ning felt a numbing sensation passing throughout his entire body as the change settled.
“Oh! It worked just like that?” he thought. He hadn’t expected the scroll to work as soon as he untied it. He had expected to have to do a lot more.
He took the next scroll, the scroll of Strength, and untied it as well. It burst into flames, and Ning felt power surge throughout his entire body. He made a fist and could feel the tension in his muscles. He had grown stronger than before by half.
Then, he took the final scroll, the scroll of Agility. It was perhaps much better to get a scroll of the Constitution, but he needed an improved speed and reaction since he expected to have to do a lot of fighting.
The Scroll of Constitution would have to wait for a few days when he got more points.
