Reincarnated As An Op Paladin - 30 Training With My Companions
Over the next few days, I began to train with my companions, learning more about them in the process. After Rilo left us, I decided to go train with Titan in the Royal Training Room. Shobe was planning to visit the Royal Library to learn new spells while Arcana was starting to head to the Captain’s dining hall. Daera decided that she would train with Titan and me, as she needed to work on her archery skills.
While we were heading over to the Royal Training Room, I checked my status:

“I forgot I leveled up thanks to Titan fighting those mercenaries”, I said.
“Yes. This cute little terror is something else”. Daera picked up Titan, holding him close to her chest and rubbing his head. “It feels like it was only yesterday when I met you and Titan”.
Daera was right. I would’ve never guessed that she was this type of person. Daera was smart, beautiful, funny, and a natural-born leader. She hates to eat vegetables and she loves to receive head rubs by me. When she sleeps, she sometimes mutters Failnaught in really a cute way. Sometimes she alternated between serious and easygoing, similar to what I do sometimes. When she smiled, I felt that everything in the world was peaceful at that moment. For some reason, all of these thoughts populated my head as I was walking with her.
“When am I going to meet your father, Daera?”, I said eagerly.
As I stared at Daera, her face became red. She seemed to be embarrassed by my question.
“D-d-don’t worry about it! In due time, you will meet my father Omus! Let’s focus on training!”, Daera said quickly.
When we finally reached the Training Room, we checked to see if anyone was using it. Since it was empty, we entered the room and allowed Titan to grow to his 6-foot form. Luckily, the ceiling of the training room was 20-feet tall.
I thought about Titan, who was basically my best friend. I loved this Lion more than anything else. It was a creature that was too cute and too powerful. The fact that my pet was already at the max level of most people was insane to me. Of course, if I didn’t have Arcana or Daera, he would be shouldering most of the intense battles that we’ve encountered so far. However, since Arcana is lvl 3000 and Daera is lvl 4000, we have been out-leveled by our female party members. Even Damaris, albeit a general, was probably lvl 1000 given how the titles are determined. Titan’s easygoing nature is probably my fault since I spoil him way too much. However, if he keeps performing at a high level, I don’t see why I shouldn’t keep spoiling him. He also gained a few levels since he was around lvl 1050 now.
I decided to let Titan and Daera train together first, as Titan needed to refine his moves and magic. I practiced with the help of a training golem, which was like the equivalent of a training A.I. As the A.I. was tuned to lvl 75, I saw that Titan and Daera were having an intense training session!
Since Daera was 4x as strong as Titan, she was easily able to dodge Titan’s claw attacks. It didn’t help that Daera, a hunting goddess, was used to fighting beasts like Titan on her hunts. Similar to how Ena looked powerless against Rubin, the 6-foot Titan looked powerless against Daera.
“Damn Titan! You’re getting your ass kicked, boy! Use your magic!” I shouted excitedly.
Titan smiled, as he tried to use his void magic to slow and inflict status effects on Daera. Thinking that he inflicted slowness, Titan attempted to slash at Daera, only to hit her after-image! After Titan looked around for a few seconds, he randomly fell to the floor dazed and changed back to his miniature form.
“Whoops! I forgot to hold back! Sorry, Titan!”, Daera said.
I’m pretty sure I only blinked my eyes but Daera was instantly in front of Titan, picking him up softly.
“Hahaha! I got flashbacks to when I was fighting Griffins so I accidentally hit Titan’s neck to put him to sleep! He’ll be fine eventually”, Daera smiled.
‘What a terrifying woman’ is what I thought as we walked Titan back to the Royal Guest Room.
I went back to train for an hour or so and got myself to lvl 57.

The next day, I decided to train with Shobe, as I barely talked to him during our adventures.
Shobe seemed to be a rather quiet, studious kid. He was only 16 so I guess that should be expected. Most of the time, like on the carriage ride, he is reading various magic books. He also reads Kani cooking books from time to time, evident by the improvement in his cooking. He was timid and shy, but a reliable party member to me. Having an elf with green and gold eyes always turned heads in the city. However, it was interesting to see when his gold eye turns red while he utilizes his demon powers. Since we already had a large amount of offense, his primary job was to be our healer.
After Shobe applied more healing to a now happy and healthy Titan, I picked up Titan and walked with Shobe to the Royal Training Room. He said he needed a favor since I was the closest to his level at the moment. Since Shobe didn’t have XP sharing or much fighting time, he was currently lvl 41. Thus, he was currently the weakest person in our party.
“Thanks, Brice! Sorry to bother you!”, Shobe said.
“Don’t worry about it! You need to talk more Shobe! All I ever see you do is read and cook-“.
“I need to be strong to be worthy of being in Daera’s presence! How can I call myself a Kani elf if I can’t be strong enough to protect our Goddess!” Shobe shouted.
It seems that I hit a nerve. I tried to calm him down by talking about the steak that Titan and I had in MapleHorn. I didn’t realize that Shobe was that serious about his religion but he was a holy healer after all.
Similar to yesterday, we checked the room to see if anyone was inside but it was empty. I sat Titan on the ground while I readied Dawnbreaker. All I had to do was block Shobe’s attacks, which he would carry out with the main class of Demon Mage. He threw a variety of spells at me, all of them devoured by Dawnbreaker. I learned how to apply Absolute Defense to the shield as well as absorbing some of the magic and physical attacks that Dawnbreaker encounters. It was probably one of the skills that I picked up as my levels grew. I helped Shobe practice his magic for a few hours before Arcana came in the Royal Training Room to look for us.
“Oi! Are you guys coming to the Captain’s Dining Hall or what? Daera and I are hungry!”, Arcana said pouting.
As Daera, Titan, Shobe, Arcana, and I walked over to the Dining hall, I asked Arcana if she wanted to train.
“Me? Train? Hahaha! I don’t train. I just fight!”, Arcana said proudly.
As everyone passively acknowledged Arcana’s arrogant nature, we walked over to the Captain’s Dining Hall. Walking into the Dining Hall, we noticed that Princess Ena and Colonel Rubin were having dinner together.
Princess Ena gave me an embarrassed look as we sat down with them and talked about Amera’s current affairs.
They were more serious than we expected.
