Reincarnated As Both God And The Devil - Chapter 247
Viel could hear several noises as he was being dragged away by several people. As soon as the two spaceships pulled him inside the mothership, he was quickly ganged up by what seemed to be several blue-skinned humanoids wearing black a sort of black latex suit.
“You know, there’s no need to cover my head. I’m like, totally blind,” Viel lightly moved his head, trying to shake away the sack that was put on his head, “Hello? Can any of you at least talk so Jack could know what language you people are speaking?”
“…”
Unfortunately for Viel, his request was completely denied as the individuals continued to ignore and drag him away. The only thing that Viel could do was let out a long and unabated sigh.
20 years. It had been 20 years since he last made contact with anyone other than the 3 gods residing inside his head since he had been flying in the vast expanse of space aimlessly. Although he was used to it already, he would be lying if he said that he didn’t want to talk to anyone else.
Even now, he could hear Xanthus and Lu Yi bickering with each other. It was a good thing that he learned how to ignore them throughout the hundred years that he has been alive.
Finally, after a few more minutes of being dragged, he felt the sack covering his head being violently taken away.
“…See?” Viel quickly said, “That would have been dramatic if I wasn’t totally blind!”
Viel’s loud voice echoed for almost 5 seconds, emphasizing how big and spacious the room he was currently in.
“Okay, even though I am blind, I can totally feel all of you looking at me like I am some weird beluga. Hello!?”
Finally, before Viel’s words could continuously echo unhindered once again, a voice interrupted him.
“Naas polapul ak gnilanggnan?”
“The fuck.”
[Where did you come from?]
“I am from the planet 79034581…69– they can’t understand me, can they?”
[I am afraid not, Viel]
[Why are you always so useless when it matters, Jacky jack?]
[Said the one who has never been useful]
[What was that!?]
‘Shut up, shut up!’
Viel interrupted before Xanthus and Lu Yi could start arguing again.
‘Don’t the three of you have a language skill you can impart to me or something?’ Viel could not help but let out a sigh as he continued to talk to the Trio.
[Perhaps you can check if Mr. Voice left something, baby V?]
‘Ack, fine. I hate digging deep.’
As soon as he thought of that, Viel felt his consciousness instantly fade away. Any noise, any clutter, and air that once surrounded him all froze, the only thing that remained was a droplet; a droplet that turned everything else dark.
It was as if he was back traveling in the vacuum of space, surrounded by nothing but darkness. But then, Viel’s previously blind eye once again saw light.
“Sup, boy.”
And suddenly, in front of him, were 3 people.
Demon God Xanthus, his long jet-black hair trailing across the four large horns that littered his shoulder as he waved his hand.
Lu Yi, whose gentle eyes were seemingly smiling at Viel as they lit up the darkness.
And the Judge of Karma… who was just casually standing there.
Together, they made the 3 gods that resided within Viel. And the three of them were currently welcoming Viel as he entered his own consciousness. He doesn’t remember when, but throughout the years, Viel had gained the ability to consciously enter his own consciousness, allowing him to somewhat talk with the three in person.
“Want some help shopping?” Xanthus was the first to approach Viel as he patted him several times on the shoulder.
“Pft, you?” Lu Yi quickly pulled him away from Viel, “Since when did you get the courage to go there? I will be the one to escort baby Viel out there.”
“What did–”
“That’s fine.”
Before Xanthus could even rebuke, Viel waved his hand, and as soon as he did so, the two of them instantly disappeared from their spot.
“You lost your chance again, Demon God.”
“Eeh, just let her spend some time with the kid. She’s at the age where she needs children.”
“Nice,” Jack made a fist and stretched it towards Xanthus, who also did the same as the two bumped fists together.
Meanwhile, Viel and Lu Yi were currently flying through the darkness. How fast they were going, or whether they were moving at all, even they don’t know.
“When was the last time you went there?” Lu Yi asked.
“…When Sofia died.”
Although Viel quickly replied without any hesitation, there was a certain sadness seeping from the tone of his voice, which Lu Yi did not miss.
“Right, sorry for bringing it up.”
“It’s alright,” Viel let out a small chuckle, “It’s… been a long time ago.”
“Do you still think about it?”
“Everyday,” Viel let out a long and deep breath as he looked straight into Lu Yi’s eyes, “But you guys were right. Life has an order… I can’t just go around resurrecting people just because I want to.”
“Hm.”
A smile slowly crept up on Lu Yi’s face upon hearing Viel’s words. For Viel, it might have been a long time ago, but for a being like her who had lived for millions of years, it was just a blink… but a very significant blink.
To see Viel grow truly had been an adventure of its own, and she was glad that she was part of it.
“We’re here,” she then said as she landed in the darkness. How they knew where to land, was once again a mystery even to them. But it matters not, as the only thing they came here for was the sea in front of them.
A sea of floating letters that filled their horizon, each word, corresponding to a single skill that Viel could use…
…and there were many.
***AUTHOR’S NOTE***
Well, this is awkward.
So, most of you might have been shocked to see the book suddenly update like a month ago even though it was done. The truth is, it was supposed to be done. But it would seem someone reported my old and original cover as inappropriate, so I had to change it and upload a new chapter to see if it could still be accessed by readers.
But since we are here already, might as well, right? But this might only be weekly chapters, depends… but I suppose the story is back. So for those that are still here, let’s start Book 2. And thank you very much for still being here.
