Reincarnated Into Destiny Universe - Volume 1 Chapter 12 Come Together..
Isaac finished scarfing down the rest of his pasta and then immediately tasked Polter with contacting the other three potential recruits.
Polter addressed Isaac. “Alright, I’ll contact this Hunter first. He’s a Male Exo named Bravo…Hello? Who is this?”
“Hello, Bravo. My name is Isaac. Ikora gave me a list of names she thought might be a good fit for my fireteam. I’ve already formed a three man fireteam who are working together to master all three classes. It occurs to me, however, that since there are six of us in total, if I can convince you other three to also walk this path with us, you all could form a second fireteam and our two teams could work together if we come across something too big for three people. So, whaddya think?”
“Right, I definitely remember Ikora mentioning you. Mostly, because I’m already started on my second class so there’s no need for convincing on this end. As for the fireteam, yeah, that sounds like a good idea. It’s probably a good idea for us to stick together, since we’re on a different path than the others. Be sure to let me know if the others agree to it.”
“Absolutely, Bravo. I’ll contact you, as soon as I’ve got a date for our first meeting.”
Polter informed Isaac, of the next name on the list. “Alright, next up is a Female Exo Warlock named Ferra…Hello? Is this the Isaac that Ikora told me about? The one going for all three classes?”
“Yup, that would be me. Since you remember, is it possible you are already walking that path as well?”
“Yes, I am. I was thinking of picking up my second class in the next few days. I was hoping you would contact me but you never did, so I thought maybe you didn’t want me on your team. Are you still recruiting for your fireteam?”
“Ummm…sort of, but first I should clarify that I didn’t really put a whole lot of thought into picking my first two teammates. I do have a complete three man team, at the moment, but I was thinking that, if you other three created your own fireteam, we could train together sometimes and even work as a six man team if needs be. How does that sound?”
“Hmmm…a separate fireteam, huh?…Alright, let’s do it. Do you have a time and place we can meet up?”
“Not at the moment, I still have one more call to make and then I’ll let you know when and where it’ll be. I’ll talk to you then.”
“Sounds good. Later.”
“Now, for the last one, we’ve got a Female Awoken Hunter named Laurel…Hey, is this that guy who’s doing all three classes that Ikora told me about?”
“That’s me, alright. My name is Isaac. Were you interested in following all three, as well?”
“Uhh, yeah, I wasn’t sure at first, since you didn’t contact me. I wasn’t sure if it was something I wanted to do alone. But then I thought, ‘what am I thinking? I’m a Hunter. We’re all about doing things alone.’ So, I eventually decided to do it on my own but, if the offer to join a fireteam is still on the table, I’m game.”
“Awesome! As it turns out, I’ve already formed my fireteam but Ikora gave me five names and so with six of us we can make two separate fireteams and then work together whenever it’s convenient. The other two have already agreed and are waiting for me to contact them, with a time and place. How does that grab, ya?”
“Sweet! I’m in.The more the merrier, right. So, when should we meet?”
“Hmmm…tomorrow I’m starting my Hunter training and my teammates are both getting their second classes. The last class training I did took two days, so how about three days from now in the hangar first thing in the morning?”
“Yep, yep, yep, sounds good. I’ll be there.”
“Nice! Then I’ll see you there. Bye.”
“Later.”
Isaac contacted the other’s, including his teammates, to let them know about the meeting. He then went to his room, did some basic exercises, showered and went to sleep.
The next morning, Isaac hurried through his morning routine and went to the Arc Energy Meditation Chamber to meet up with Cayde.
“Hey there, kiddo. You ready to learn how to be awesome like me?”
“Sure am, let’s do this.”
“Well, tough! Because, before you can get started, you have to do this boring meditation stuff. Or at least that’s what I would say, if I hadn’t seen you giving our library that creepy Ikora stare. As it is, get in there and do your Warlock thing for about six hours and then report back to me. You probably have already noticed that meditation is like a skill unto itself. The more you do it the better you get at it. Given that you already have thee unique attunements, it shouldn’t take you that long to attune yourself to Arc Energy. Now, if there aren’t any questions, I’ll leave you to it.”
“None at all. See you in six, Cayde.”
Isaac entered the meditation chamber and began feeling out the Arc Energy that was manifested in the center of the room. Three hours later he had received his attunement and he continued increasing it for another three hours. Isaac finished with his attunement training and made his way back to Cayde, in the command room.
“Alright, Cayde, I’m ready to go how about you?”
“I’m always ready, kid. Follow me to the hangar.”
Isaac and Cayde made their way to the hangar, entered their respective sh.i.p.s, and flew to the Exodus Blue training ground. Their ghosts transmated them, just outside the training grounds, and the two approached the entrance.
“Listen, kid, being a Hunter is all about mobility and precision. When you move, you need to move quickly and efficiently. You need to be able to evade and land precision shots, with equal proficiency. Before I start you on the course, like last time, I want you to practice your basics of handling your weapon. Target acquisition, sight picture, breathing, trigger pull all of it. Once you’ve spent an hour refining the fundamentals, I’ll start you on the first course. If you’re ready, head over to the range there.”
“Got it boss. Going now.”
‘Ha, this freaking kid.’
After completing his refining exercises, Isaac returned to Cayde.
“Nice! It seems you haven’t been slacking off. I could see a fairly noticeable improvement from the last time. Now, for this first course, you’re going to be facing constant flood of combat frames. You’re going to stay within the starting area and focus on bringing the frames down at range before they can enter. Remember you can leave the starting area but the second one of the frames enters the starting area it’s over and you fail. Any questions?”
“Nope, let’s getter done.”
Isaac spent three hours running and rerunning the course. He wasn’t sure where all those frames came from but they seemed to be endless. By the end of the three hours, his best time for holding the frames at bay was eighteen minutes twenty three seconds. The second course saw Isaac surrounded by frames and tasked with evading their attacks, while taking them out. Receiving even a single attack would mean failure. He continued running this second course for the next three hours and managed a personal best of thirty six, by the end of it all. Cayde called an end to the training, by calling Isaac over.
“Not bad, kid. For a Warlock, you certainly seem to make a good Hunter. That being said, that’s all for today but tomorrow you’re gonna spend three more hours in the meditation chamber and then come back here for a combined version of the two courses you just ran. You’ll be positioned in the center and have an area around you that acts like the starting area, of the first course.
“I’ll be watching from a nearby control tower and at random intervals I’ll change the rules. You’ll start off keeping them out of the ring and, whenever I sound the alarm, you’ll swap to evade and eliminate. I’ll sound the alarm again and you’ll have forty five seconds to clear the center ring before the next round begins. You’ll run that course all day and if you do really well there might even be reward in it for you. You think you can handle that?”
“Hells yeah! Sounds like a good time to me. I’ll meet you here tomorrow, as soon as I finish my meditations.”

As Isaac was going to meet with Cayde, at the meditation chamber, Daniel made his way to Zavala at the Void Energy Meditation Chamber.
Isaac had to convince Daniel to go for Titan next, because Daniel had already learned Isaac’s LAMP technique, which included and expanded on the Titan jump he was after. So Daniel and Koren had decided to pick up Warlock as their next class. Isaac, however, had insisted that it would be important to maintain a balance within the group, until all of them had acquired all three classes. So Daniel conceded to pick up the Titan class, while Koren studied under Ikora.
Daniel finished his meditations and met Zavala at the Rusted Lands training grounds.
“Greetings, young Daniel. Today you’re going to go through a series of tests that will allow you to be a rock that stabilizes any team that you might join. As a Titan, it’s your responsibility to not only stay alive but to protect your teammates from danger. Your teammates will have impressive damage output but they will need openings to safely unleash that damage and they’ll need cover to fall back to.
“Titans aren’t always the leader of a team but they are always keeping a close eye on their teammates positioning and status. The first course you’ll run today will be one of endurance. You’ll face off against a hoard of combat frames. Two dummies will be set up in the center of this arena and it will be your job to keep these dummies from receiving any damage. During this first course, try to keep tabs on how many enemies are surrounding you and their positions. Use any means at your disposal to keep the frames from damaging your ‘teammates.’ As time passes, the number of frames will increase, until you fail. Are you clear on what’s expected of you?”
“Got it. I’m ready.”
Daniel finished his three hour stint, with the first course, and, at his best, held the frames off for eleven minutes. He then moved on to the second course, which required him to stay within a small two meter wide ring and utilize the force of his opponents attacks to redirect them either into another frame or simply away from himself. He had to evade when possible but had to redirect when evasion wasn’t possible. Having the benefit of the LAMP technique, he managed to hold on for fifty minutes, at his best. Zavala called Daniel back from the Arena.
“You’ve performed quite impressively today Daniel. This is only the beginning, however, seeing as tomorrow you’ll be doing a combined version of these courses. Not only will tomorrow’s course be combined but the dummies will be mechanized in a way to display a meter indicating their ‘health.’
“Some frames will carry an item that will restore the dummies ‘health’ and some frames will be marked as ‘heavy’ or ‘elite’ opponents. Not only will the dummies ‘health’ slowly drain over time but you’ll be required to prioritize these marked frames, before shifting attention to the others. You’ll have to have complete situational awareness in order to succeed in tomorrow’s course, Daniel, so prepare yourself.”

After finishing their class training, Isaac, Daniel, and Koren decided to have dinner together to celebrate their achievement. They enjoyed a few pizzas, between themselves, along with some laughs and some expectations for the future. Once they had satisfied their appetites for food and companionship, they each got back to their rooms and got some well deserved Z’s.
The morning after their class training, Isaac made his way to the hangar to meet up with Ferra, Laurel, Bravo and his fireteam. To his pleasant surprise, everyone was already there ahead of time and waiting for him to show up.
‘Damn, do I have the most punctual teammates in world or what…wait a minute. I’m not late am I? Nah, couldn’t be.’_”What’s up guys? You look like you’re ready for some leveling.”
“Yep. I sure am. I’m Laurel, by the way. Nice to meet you.”
“A pleasure, Laurel, and you must be Ferra?”
“In the flesh.”
“Haha, and Bravo, of course?”
“That would be me and, like you say, ready to get some of those sweet sweet levels.”
“Say, what level are you guys anyway?”
“I’m eight and Laurel and Bravo are seven.” Ferra answered.
“I see in that case, I’ve got a little secret to share with you…”
Isaac gave them the same warning and explanation that he gave his fireteam. He then led them to European Dead Zone and got them caught up to level ten. The six of them then made their way to the three locations indicated by Hawthorne the last time he was here. After clearing out all of the Fallen in each area, they made their way back to Old Russia and the familiar Cosmodrome. They spent the rest of the day there working on their collective teamwork.
After arriving at the Cosmodrome, Isaac taught Ferra and her team his LAMP technique and told them about the new Kinetic Energy Meditation Chamber. The other three decided that Ferra would be their leader, since Hunters usually are best being sent out rather than staying back. All three of them had picked up Titan, as their second class, in order to increase the survivability of their lightly armored team. Ferra even decided to wear Titan armor, until they had some proficiency in all three classes.
The next day was a what Isaac had taken to calling a Day of Reflection or an Introspective Respite. The idea was to spend a day or two in the field and then follow that up with meditation and solo training on the following day, using their field experience to increase the effectiveness of their training.
Despite having already gained the Traveler’s support and not having a lot of experience in either of his classes, Isaac was feeling a bit pressured by the thought of that shard of the Traveler deep inside the Hives cavernous home on the moon. Initially he thought that waiting until his fireteam was at level twenty, before heading there, was the best idea. Now, however, he had six teammates and they were all at level twelve.
He probably could have done it by himself, after he reached level ten, but, given the number of unknowns that the Hive presented in this world, he wasn’t willing to take that chance. After seeing the performance of both teams in action, however, he was now certain that the six of them together would basically be overkill for most of the things that needed to be done on the moon. With these thoughts in mind, he decided to broach the subject.
At the end of their day of Introspective Respite, Isaac took the whole group into the city for a nice dinner on him at the place he had gotten his Fettuccine Alfredo. It was basically a soup and pasta bar so there was plenty to choose from. Once everyone had finished their meals, Isaac decided it was time.
“So, guys, I brought you here tonight, not just to celebrate our first outing together, but to make two propositions to you. Will you hear them out?”
They all quickly agreed and Isaac continued. “My first proposition, is that we take another Day of Reflection tomorrow and also use that time to ask the Vanguard Representatives, about training our third class. Once we’ve finished our third class training, we’ll do another Day of Reflection and then comes my second proposition.
“I think we should go to the moon. I know there’s probably still tons to discover, here on Earth, but I’ve heard that the Hive have been occupying the moon pretty heavily for centuries. Aside from being a great opportunity to increase our levels, we could help suppress the Hive forces and perhaps help create a space where Guardians might one day reestablish a base up there. So, whaddya think?”
The Hunters and Ferra all agreed, almost immediately. Koren, realizing he was the only one with reservations, decided to go with the majority decision. Having decided upon a new goal for themselves, they all slept soundly and awoke energized and ready to press forward.
Five days later, the whole six man team had all three of their classes and had, naturally, done quite a bit more training. Isaac met up with his teammates, in the hangar, early in the morning. They all followed Isaac to the moon, ready to hunt down that big two zero.
