Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer - Chapter 11 Gregory Orphanage
1/4 hit another milestone!!
“Hey dad, I have another thing to ask of you.”
Hearing Reed asking for another thing of him, Reece couldn’t help but be shocked and speechless. He was already given a surprise just a moment ago with the high end weapon blueprint Reed has given him. So he couldn’t imagine what Reed wanted to ask of him this time. “He’s not gonna give me a blueprint to build a mini nuke is he?” Reece couldn’t help but think.
“What favor do you want to ask of me this time?” Reece asked Reed. Even if Reed didn’t want to tell him, Reece would’ve still agreed since his son has given so much fortune already. It showed how much Reece trusted Reed now. In Reece’s eyes, Reed wasn’t kid but an adult.
“I’ve said that my master taught me some training methods that seemed superior than our own. I want to personally train some kids using the training method.” Reed wanted to train some kids, the way he was taught at the assassination organization. Of course the training method won’t be as deadly since Reed didn’t see a reason to be so cruel.
He wanted to train the best assassins the world has ever scene. And by using the the training method, he’s sure that he’ll be able to groom some of the best assassins.
“So what do you want me to do for you?” Reece pretty much figured out what Reed wanted but he wanted to be fully sure.
“I want to adopt a few kids and train them under the Aniston Family. If they were to train under the method I’m planning to use, they’ll surely be a force to be reckoned with. I’m betting that the other three great families won’t have such a force like us.”
“Sure, I’ll assign some men with you when you go the orphanage,” Reece answered without hesitating which surprised Reed a bit. He thought his dad would at least think a little before answering.
Noticing his son’s confused face, he knew what his son was feeling. “Reed, right now I’m seeing you as an adult. Honestly, I could never treat or look at you as a child for awhile now. The way you act and that temperament of yours can’t even be compared to a child. This is why I’m trusting you this much because I know you won’t disappoint me.”
“Thank you dad, that means a lot to me,” Reed smiled. To be trusted by his dad was something Reed felt happy about in his heart. Reed was jealous of people that had family back in his past life. While they had warmth and love. He lived in the cold fighting for his life not knowing the feeling of being cared for. Now that he was experiencing such a thing, he really cherished it.

Nova City
Gregory Orphanage
Being approved by his dad, Reed immediately went to an orphanage to adopt some kids. The first orphanage Reed went to was Gregory Orphanage. Gregory Orphanage was one of the many orphanages in Nova City. It was a rather run down building that lasting on its final legs as it barely gets any or none at all from the government. It only lasted this long due to the kindness of some people donating to the orphanage.
Reed was accompanied by Aily and Mark to the orphanage as Aily didn’t want to be alone in the house and Mark was assigned by his dad to protect at all times, never leaving his side. The Gregory Orphanage was built on 2 acres of land as it’s former owner was fairly rich when he bought the land and built the Gregory household.
The Gregory Orphanage was one of his many houses, so when he died, he converted the house he built to an orphanage. Sadly he didn’t gave the orphanage little money to survive and gave the rest to his son who doesn’t care one bit of the orphanage.
Before the steps to enter the Gregory Orphanage, there were a few kids sitting on the steps playing with stuffed animals that were worn out, as the stitches holding the stuffing in were falling apart. And the clothing they were wearing looked worn out as well.
The clothing the kids were wearing were probably worn over thousand’s of times over the past year or so as there were small holes and stitched patches covering up the bigger holes on the clothing. It could be said that these only had one or two pieces of shirt of pants that they wore.
One of the kid noticed Reed and his group and got up from the steps and started walking overt to them. The kid’s name was Kendall Dos, he was eight years old and lived in the Gregory Orphanage for as long as he can remember.
Even though Kendall was eight years old, he was a pretty smart child. Before he was sent to the Gregory Orphanage he had to live on the streets. There he saw how the world wasn’t as friendly as he thought. To survive he learned how to spot out the rich and learn how to steal without getting caught.
But his luck soon ended as he was then caught by the police when he was attempting to steal food from a food stall. Since he was so young and had no family, he was then sent to Gregory Orphanage where Elaine Thornly, showered him with warmth and care.
Kendall looked at Reed and his group and could immediately tell that Reed and Aily aren’t orphans like them as they were expensive clothing. He didn’t why they came here and didn’t know if they were here with a bad motive or not.
But since the people were wealthy people, Kendall knew not to agitate them in anyway as agitating may cause an irreversible situation that may lead to the endangerment of the orphanage. There was already one man who wanted to destroy the orphanage, so Kendall didn’t want to add another to the list.
” Welcome to the Gregory Orphanage. How may I help you?” Kendall welcomed Reed and his group. Since Reed was at the forefront of the group. Which made Kendall believe that the adult behind Reed was a servant and Reed the leader of the group and asked him what he needed as well.
Seeing how mature Kendall was, when he welcomed and asked Reed what he wanted. Reed knew that this kid didn’t have a great time growing up. Normal kids who grow up with a happy family are usually naive and carefree looking for ways to have fun.
But the kids that are mature and don’t act their age. Those kids are usually the one that has experienced a tragedy or something that would affect their mental age forever and cause them to grow up faster.
Reed knew that he could talk to Kendall more later since he did plan on adopting some kids. And after seeing Kendall’s matureness, Kendall was now a prime candidate to be adopted.
Some people might reject Reed’s method of adopting kids to train them into assassins. But in his mind he was saving them from any future torment. It was a give and take transaction in his mind. He would give the food and warmth while they would train to become assassins for the Aniston Family.
Reed didn’t feel as bad thinking about such a thing since Reed grew up in a similar way but worse. So Reed thought he was kind in doing such a transaction. Plus many family’s in the world do the same thing as he did, so why would he feel bad in the same place?
“I came to see the person in charge of this orphanage. Can I please ask you to take me where the person is,” Reed replied back to Kendall. Kendall didn’t question anything and lead Reed and his group to the office of the person in charge of the orphanage.
Before Kendall was going to knock on the door leading to the office, Reed took hold of his hand, preventing him to move it. Kendall tried to pull his arm out of Reed’s hold but he was soon surprised that he couldn’t even budge under the Reed’s iron grip.
Kendall then looked at Reed with a angry yet confused face, only to be answered back with Reed putting a finger to his mouth, as a signal to silence him. Reed let go of Kendall’s arm and didn’t move and stayed in silence as he was told by Reed.
Soon voice can be heard on the other side of the room. There in the room was middle age woman named Elaine Thornly and a young man named Sam Corvel. Elaine Thornly was the person in head of the orphanage, while Same Gregory was the son of the past owner of the Gregory Orphanage.
Hearing that the Gregory Orphanage has been its last legs, Sam wanted to purchase the land and demolish the orphanage to build a subsidiary company of the company he manages. He’s been trying to negotiating with Elaine for a days now and each time he tried to increase the price for the land, he would still be rejected in the end.
Being rejected over and over again, only made him reach closer to his melting point. This was his last time coming over to negotiate with Elaine and if she rejects again. The only option Sam had was force.
