Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer - Chapter 15 Phone Call
In a room of the Gregory Orphanage stood a group of kids standing before Reed. They were Kendall, Abe, Ivan, Eric, and Baron. As of right now, they were part of the Aniston Family. Reed asked all of them one at a time to introduce themselves.
Reed then managed to learn about the history of each kid and was able to see that they all had an interesting story behind each and everyone one of them. Before Kendall was taken into the orphanage, he was a thief, stealing food and money and survive the next day. It was because he was negligent one day, he was caught by the police and sent to Gregory Orphanage instead of the Youth Detention Center, due to the fact of him being to young.
Abe was abused by his parents as he grew up, never getting the love he needed from a parent. Not willing to deal with the nonsense at abuse at home, Abe ran away at the age of eight. Sadly, when he ran away, Abe didn’t bring anything else except for the clothing and belongings on him. Sitting on the streets of Nova City, Abe stood with his hands out begging for money or a scrap of food to fill his stomach. But after hours of standing, no one came by to help him out.
It was because of Elaine’s kind heart, when she found him sleeping under a bridge in a box during a rainy day, she took him in. With Elaine’s motherly love, she took care of Abe’s necessities the best she could with the limited supplies the Gregory Orphanage had at that time.
Ivan and Eric were child slaves of the Velos Nobles. Velos was another nation bordering the north side of the nations border and was one of the few nations that still legalize slavery. There, Ivan and Eric were born and raised. And because their family were close, Ivan and Eric were able to meet each other, they got to know each other and became best friends quickly.
On was one unfortunate day, the both of them witnessed a tragedy. At that time Velos was at war with another country. The country they were at war with, was a ruthless militaristic nation. They sent forces to invade Velos and destroyed everything in their path. And sadly, Eric’s and Ivan’s families were part of the casualties as they were closest to the border. When their home was attacked by the enemy’s nation army, Ivan and Eric were forced to run alone into the wilderness because they were yelled by their family to.
With just the two of them, they so somehow crossed into the Anais border where they were found by the Anais border patrol. Knowing the war that was going on in Velos, they knew that the two were refugees. Anais had an open policy with refugees, allowing them to come into the nation to find shelter. So Ivan and Eric were taken in and cared for a bit before sending them to Gregory Orphanage.
Baron had used to live in another orphanage in Nova City. The orphanage he was living at wasn’t as bad as the Gregory Orphanage was. There was more food and a little more clothing to live with in the orphanage. At the time, baron was living a decent life compared to many orphans in Nova City. It came to an end as one day the orphanage burned down and collapsed. The orphanage he was living in had weak supports, so it broke down quickly as it was on fire.
Only a few kids made it out alive. The caretaker of the orphanage died trying to take save as many kids as she could, but sadly the building crashed upon her. The police concluded that the fire was caused by a person and not an accidental fire. The person who caused the building to burn and collapse was never found and Baron was sent to Gregory Orphanage to grow.
Baron was able to heal the wounds that was left on him of that day. But the desire to solve who destroyed the orphanage and killed his friends still burned inside him.
Reed couldn’t help but be amazed hearing the stories of each person. All these kids almost or had a life and death situation. It was probably due to that, they were willing to step forward. Reed was able to figure out why they wanted to get stronger in the first place.
They all wanted the power to prevent events such as those that happened to them to those that they care about. These kids will the future spearhead of the Aniston Family, and Reed was willing to spend every resource he could muster to train these kids.
“From now on we’re family, your enemies, are my enemies. your friends, are my friends. Being family meant that we’ll be trusting our lives to each other on the battlefield. Since I’m putting my trust into you, I’m hoping you’ll do the same for me.” Reed said.
He wanted to form bonds with in front of him. Reed couldn’t forget the betrayal in the past, but with the kids in front of him. He couldn’t feel distrust at all. Since he knew that these kids were orphans and weren’t from a secret organization, he planned to build an unbreakable bond between them.
The boys in front of Reed couldn’t help but feel calmer after hearing speak. But there was still some feeling of uncertainty. Ivan wanted to wash away the uncertainty as he asked Reed. “Will we get food? Will we have a better life than we have right now?”
“Of course,” Reed said in a truthful tone. Reed wasn’t lying at all. before he wanted the kids to take the training, he wanted them to enjoy a life they never had before for a bit. that way, they kids would work harder, since, if they experienced such a luxurious and joyful time, of course they would want to experience that joy again.
Reed began to speak again, explaining what he planned to do with them. “Before we start training your training, for one week, you’ll be able to do anything you want as long as the Aniston Family can supply.”
Being orphans living in a poor orphanage, the kids were never able to experience much in their life. They didn’t have game consoles or TV as it was expensive. They could only play tag with each other, tic-tac-toe, jump rope and ect. Which got rather boring to them as it got stale after playing repeatedly for years or months.
So they became happy immediately hearing that they could do anything they want. They’ve always wanted to enjoy the luxuries of life, such as game consoles and television. They even wanted to go to the amusement park they’ve been hearing about now and then.
News of the Aniston purchasing Gregory Orphanage spread out as the day passed. The people hearing the Aniston Family purchasing the orphanage and renovating it to make it better made them respect the Aniston a little more. They could’t believe that such a powerful family would do such a humanitarian thing. This just showed how those powerful families usually don’t or not all deal with lower class people.
Reed and his group stopped by at a building that was block away from the Aniston Estate. it was an estate, though not as grand as the Aniston Estate, it was still an estate. Being told that this would be their new home, they couldn’t believe what they were seeing. Growing up in and living in a shabby building to living in an estate was a big change. Anyone wouldn’t believe there eyes if something like that happened to them.

In a business room there a man was sitting on a chair behind an executive desk. he was wearing business attire but the thing that catches the eye would be the golden colored ring with a red sun painted on it. The man was Jason Dawn, executive of the Dawn Corporation. As he sat looking at the computer screen on his desk, the phone to his right started ringing.
He picked up the phone. “Hello.” Jason said to the person on the phone.
“Sir, Sam Corvel hasn’t called back to us for a few hours now. He was supposed to buy the Gregory Orphanage, but hearing the news recently and seeing he hasn’t called back, I can assume that he’s dead.” the person on the phone replied back.
Jason has been locked up in his office working on his computer. Checking the stocks and finding clients to work with, so he wasn’t aware with the recent news. ” Explain this news to me.”
“From what I’ve been hearing coming on the local news, the Aniston Family purchased the Gregory Orphanage. I believe Sam Corvell, came in to conflict with them not knowing who they were in the first place. Since on one would dare to oppose such a great family.”
Hearing the news, Jason shook his head and sighed. He didn’t care much about Sam or the Gregory Orphanage as it had nothing to do with him. But he still bad knowing Sam died. Sam wanted to purchase the Gregory Orphanage for his company and asked Jason for help. Jason owed him a favor so he kept in touch and helped him out when he needed until the favor was repaid.
But now that Sam was dead, he didn’t have to pay back anything. But what got him interested was the Aniston purchasing the Gregory Orphanage. Why would the Aniston Family buy an orphanage that would bring no profit? Jason couldn’t think of a reason. Jason then ended the call and dialed in another number.
” I have some things to ask”

If you think this a info dump, well it is in a way but i wanted to give a back story to these characters, since I felt like some characters feel too hollow. Don’t worry about Reed and Aily as their chracter will develop.
