Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer - Chapter 22 Identity
“So where is Kendall and the rest?” Reed asked Ivan who was placing his newly crafted torture device into his bag on the table in front of him. After placing the torture device into the bag, he then looked at Reed and replied,
“Kendall should be with Baron in the armory, Abe is probably in his room watching adult videos, and Eric… Well I don’t where that man is. He’s probably causing trouble on the streets as he usually does to pass time.”
“Let’s hope I don’t have to pick him up from the police department for the third time,” Reed couldn’t help but sigh after he finished speaking. Eric was a man who didn’t like to sit around and do nothing. Usually, people would have their hobbies they would have to waste time, like reading a book, play games, listen to music, and write novels…
But Eric, his hobby, was unique. His hobby was to mess with people in the public. He would do anything he found interesting to do. And some of them, got him behind bars. Eric got his first offense when he dressed himself as the grim reaper, covered in fake blood guts and walked through a kid’s toy shop.
Eric surely got the reaction he wanted; When the first kid saw him in the toy shop, he peed his pants and ran away, screaming “mommy!” This caused a huge disruption, which caught the attention of the police, leading to Eric’s arrest. When Reed first heard of this, He didn’t even know how to react. Like, really? Dressing up as the grim reaper, covered in fake blood and guts. Then go to a kid’s toy shop to scare the kids there. Who in the hell would do such a thing?
Reed had to then go the Nova Police Department to bail Eric out. It was easy to bail him out, as Reed showed his identity of being a member of the Aniston Family. Being a big power in the city, the police had to give face to him, and so allowed him to take Eric out.
The reason for his second offense, was when Eric got in an argument with another man, for cutting in line to buy food in a shop. Eric called him out for it, but the man ignored him and when Eric called him out. Eric got annoyed with the man, so what he did was, he took a fire cracker from the pocket of his pant’s, lit it up and shoved it down the back of the man’s pant who cut in line.
Lets just say, the man’s pant lit up like the fourth of July, causing him to jump at every pop. Eric tried to leave right away, but a policeman entered the shop right as the moment Eric placed the fire cracker down the man’s pant and witnessed him doing it. Eric was then again arrested, and sent to the Nova Police Department.
When he got there, a few of the officers noticed him and immediately remembered that Eric was affiliated with the Aniston Family. So they then called Reece to pick him up again. When Reed got the second call from the Nova Police Department, Reed became embarrassed as he had to pick up Eric for the second time and mad at Eric, as he was the main reason of the mess.
In the end though, Reed didn’t punish Eric, as the scenario was too funny and Reed just couldn’t think of a way to punish him. He couldn’t ban from going outside like a child could he? No he couldn’t.
As Reed, Aily, and Ivan talked for a bit, a knock came from the door.
“Come in” Reed said to the person at the door. The door opened and a man wearing a black suit and tie came in. His name was Ulrich Bolstein, he was part of the second batch of orphans who joined the Aniston Family, due to the help of Kendall’s persuasion. He told the kids at the Gregory Orphanage how joining the family was worth it, by telling them of what he experienced.
All of kids knew that they couldn’t stay at the Gregory orphanage forever, so hearing how good joining the Aniston Family was, especially hearing it from someone who was one of them, most of them agreed to join the Aniston Family. If you were to ask if any of them regretted joining the Aniston Family, all of them would say no.
“Sir, the two men you wanted to interrogate are in the interrogation room, while the other man, Conor is in the infirmary.” With his hands behind his back, Ulrich reported to Reed. Reed nodded as heard the report, He then looked at Ivan,
“Ivan, like I said before, I want you to interrogate those two and get as much info you can get from those two. Whiel you do that, I’ll be going to the infirmary and interrogate Conor. Ulirch did you get some information on that man named Conor?”
“Here the files on the man named Conor” Ulirch passed a file filled with information on Conor to Reed. Reed then opened up the file and started reading the documents within it. After Reed finished reading the file, he then closed it and gave it back to Ulrich.
“This is gonna be easier than I thought it would be.”
When Reed entered the infirmary, he immediately walked towards a cubicle surrounded by hospital curtains in front of him surrounded by hospital curtains. Once Reed passed through the curtains, he was greeted with a man on a medical bed. With handcuff bounding his left hand to the railing of the bed, the man didn’t have a chance to escape.
The man who was bounded to the bed was exactly Conor Myers. Seeing Reed coming through the curtains, into his cubicle. At this moment, Conor could help but feel cautious. Let not forget the fact that Conor didn’t even know where we was. So it couldn’t be helped being cautious at this moment.
“You can ask anything you want, but don’t expect me to answer anything” Conor spoke up with a determined voice. Hearing the determination, Reed couldn’t help but give off a smirk on face. The way he sees it, he already won this battle, all he needed to do was give a little push.
Reed didn’t answer back Conor as started speaking, ” Your name is Conor Myers, born in Nova City, and turned twenty-six years old a month ago. You joined the Aneis Military at the age of eighteen and only after four years of service, you were recruited into the Aneis Black Ops. Then after another four years, you left the military. You were twenty-five when you left, so it was last year”
As Reed kept on talking, Conor couldn’t help but become more and more tense. At the start was basic information that was easy to get, but the later parts were confidential. Conor couldn’t figure out how he was able to gain such information. Conor wanted to speak but Reed cut him off as he kept on talking.
“Before you joined the army, you married the love of your life, Lillian Shire. Now known as Lilian Myers. While you were in the army she would send you weekly letters, as any normal human being would do. But all of a sudden, you stopped getting mails from her. You thought the mail was misplaced, so you waited another week. But after that week passed, you still haven’t got the mail.”
“You became worried about her, and so you you attempted to call her even though you shouldn’t have. But in the end, she didn’t pick up. You then left the army to see if your wife is fine, but on coming back to Nova City, not only did you not find her, you found out that she was kidnapped. And now that same kidnapper is using her to make you do their bidding. Am I wrong?”
Conor was speechless as his eyes were wide open, staring at Reed as if he was a monster. Everything he said was correct. From the start to the beginning, there was not one bit, not a single bit of what he said was wrong. For a man to be able to gain such a detailed report of him, just what power did he have behind him? Conor before wanted to know of Reed’s identity before, but now after what he just heard from Reed, he was desperate to know his identity.
“Who the hell are you?” The words Conor thought of finally came out from his mouth.
