Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer - Chapter 32 Infiltration 13
Reed stood behind a wall, a yard away from the fence, that’s used to keep people from trespassing onto the property of the warehouse. As he poke his head around the corner of the wall, he could see three guards protecting the access point to the warehouse. “Aily your team is up first,” Reed said to Aily using his ear piece.
“Were on it,” Aily who was standing on the sidewalk close to the three guards immediately replied and began to walk towards them.
“Hold up Aily, one of my guys just told me that there is a patrol coming towards the access point. Let them past first before you start the distraction,” Tyler voice came out of Aily ear piece warning her. Hearing Tyler telling her to stop, Aily did what she was told and took out her phone. Making herself seem like she got a text and was replying to it. By doing that, she would not look suspicious one bit.
As Aily was pretending to use her phone, by using she looked to her side where the guards were. As she was watching the guards, another group of people soon came into view. It was the patrol Tyler warned her about. The patrol stopped walking where the guards were and began to talk with them. After a few minutes of laughing and swearing with each other, the patrol went on their way.
Of course Aily wouldn’t start the distraction just because she saw the patrol start walking. She was going to wait for another minute to allow the patrol to get farther away from the guards. After the minute has passed she placed back her phone into the pocket of her pant and again walked to the guards.
“Halt this is private property, you’re not allow to pass through this point,” the leader of the guards shouted at Aily as she walked towards them. The guards weren’t the normal street gangsters that had no intelligence and only had lust and destruction in their mind. These guys were veteran gangsters that had a sense of business, they wouldn’t do anything unless they were asked to and when they were, they would do everything they were told to the T.(1)
Ignoring the fierce tone of the leader of the guards, Aily still walked towards them and said, “I’m sorry sir, it’s my first time being in this area so I don’t know where anything is. So can you please help me find out where I could find Italiano. I’m supposed to meet my friend there half an hour ago. I’m pretty sure you can understand my urgency to learn the direction.”
“It’s the 21st century, how could you get lost in this day and age,” the leader of the guard Aily was speaking to didn’t feel any sympathy as he talked to her with an emotionless tone.
“My phone is out of batteries so I couldn’t use it to show me they way. That why I’m asking you to tell me the way.”
The guard couldn’t help but sigh, “Fine I tell you the way.” The leader of the guards felt that if he didn’t tell Aily the direction any time sooner, she would still be annoying him until he told her the directions. ” To get to Italiano, you would have to walk down this street and take a right. As the guard began to tell her the directions, a loud sound of a car’s engine could be heard in the distance .
At first the guards didn’t think anything of it as people would rev their car loudly everyday. But as the sound of the car got closer and closer to them, the guards felt something wasn’t right. The sound of car got louder as each second passed and soon a car could be seen driving at full speed coming toward the guards.
“Stop or I will shoot!” The leader of the guards shouted at the car as the took out their handguns and pointed at it. The car did not slow down one and kept coming towards them. What the guards didn’t know was that the car had no driver. The reason why the car was moving was because Aily’s team placed a brick on the acceleration, causing it to drive at full speed towards the warehouse’s fence.
“Fire!” The guards started firing at the cards. Bullets could be seen penetrating the glass and the metal of car as bullet holes could be seen on it. The car still didn’t slow down though, and soon passed the guards and crashed through the fence and into a metal crate, causing a deafening sound.
All of the guards immediately ran towards the car and ignored Aily. With the guards paying attention to the car that just crashed through the fences and not paying attention to anything else, Reed smoothly sneaked past the fence and was now on the warehouse’s property.
“I’m in,” Reed said as he slowly walked towards the warehouse.
“I can see you boss,” Tyler said as he saw Reed walking slowly. “From what I can see boss, the distraction you thought of was a genius as most of the guards that should be patrolling around you are running towards the crashed car. However boss, where did you get the car?”
“I’m not the one who got the car, Aily’s team did. So Aily, please tell me how and where you got the car?” Reed asked Aily as he too was curious where the car came from.
“Well, ummmm, we couldn’t find anyone willing to sell their car on the spot, so we had to resort to theft and hot wire their car,” Aily replied with an awkward tone. Hearing what Aily just said, Tyler and Reed felt flabbergasted..
“You stole and hot wired someones car..” Reed said a flat tone, he didn’t know how to react about Aily stealing a car and hot wiring it. Tyler on the other hand just went silent as he wasn’t willing to say anything that was on his mind.
“We’ll we needed a car and no one wanted to sell it. So we had to take matters into our own hand.”
“So you stole a car and hot wired it.”
“Yeah and plus I had to, to allow you to save Lillian Myers and learn what’s being stored inside the warehouse. So I find what I did totally justifiable.” Aily clearly didn’t regret her decisions a single bit.
Reed sighed, “Well talk about this later. Let’s just get this operation finished with. Since as I stay here longer, the more likely I’ll be caught.” Though Reed is an expert at sneaking into places, it was mainly because of him doing extensive research and the help of others to learn about the place he was infiltrating. In this case however, he thought of the plan from the top of his head with no refinement but he had a team to work with, making him confident to complete the mission.
Since there was no patrol in his vicinity and hurried to the warehouse and after a minute later, Reed opened the door of the warehouse and entered.
(1) “To the T” means that the person would do something to the smallest detail. The more you know.
