Reincarnated Legendary Contract Killer - Chapter 38 Conspiracy
“Damn!” A man slammed on his table, causing a small crack to appear on top of it. The man was Jason Dawn, the boss of the Dawn corporation. Just a moment ago he had a smile on his face, something that rarely appears. It was due to the call he got from his superiors saying that he was doing a great job and would most likely get a promotion. Anyone would become happy when they hear they would promoted so Jason being happy was nothing to be surprised of.
However that happiness was short lived as soon get a phone call from one of his subordinates. It was a phone call detailing the escape of the hostages Reed rescued from the warehouse, leading to the slamming of his fist onto the desk of his and a menacing look of hatred could be seen on Jason’s face. With the promotion that was to come for Jason, He would’ve lived a grand life once everything was over. But now with the hostages who were vital to their grand plan gone. He would not only not get his promotion, he would most likely be punished heavily.
Jason took out his phone and called someone.
“This is Jason Dawn, I need you to do a favor for me.”

Back at Kendall’s Estate, Reed, Aily, Kendall, and Ivan, were standing in the living room watching the TV. The TV’s channel was on one of the news channel of the Aneis Federation. On the screen was a beautiful female reporting on a recent event. That event being the hostage rescue Reed and Aily did at the warehouse thirty minutes ago.
When the hostages reached Kendall’s Estate, they were all immediately brought to the infirmary where they would get medical attention. All of them were held in a dark with no sunlight leading to mental issues and due to low amount of food the consumed, most of them were malnourished. However with them all being properly treated and given the amount of food needed to live properly, The lives of the hostages would soon turn back to normal and be able to return to their home and family awaiting them.
However there was one exception, which was Lillian Myers. Due to her being shot during the escape and the prolonged time of the open wound leading to blood loss. As of this moment in the infirmary, Lillian was in a coma. The doctors say that with the present technology they have, the only thing they can do is just sit back and watch, hoping to see Lillian wake up from her coma.
Conor who was extremely happy to see his wife again became extremely distraught and depressed. He was happy enough to see his wife once again but not knowing if she’ll wake up caused him to feel down in the dumps. Will she wake up ever again? Conor didn’t dare to think of that even once and prayed silently to god, wishing for his wife to wake up from her coma.
“If you are to know of anything or anyone that has something to do with the shooting at the warehouse, please call this number on the screen,” The lady on the TV said.
Reed picked up the remote which was sitting on the table and turned off the TV.
“From what I can tell, the Hexagrams don’t plan to blow up the accident,” Ivan said
“It’s smart of them to not do such a thing. If they were to blow up the situation and post images of the boss’s face or one of the people that participated in the hostage rescue, we could just counteract it by showing the hostages we just saved. Doing that would lead to a huge public disruption and cause a huge issue in the Dawn corporation since the Hexagram is a subordinate of the them,” Kendall said with a peculiar look on his face.
“Knowing that the Hexagrams or the Dawn Corporation don’t plan to blow up the incident and assuming they don’t know our identity, I can assume that we’re safe for now. However I want everyone’s guard to be up at all times.”
“We can assume so yes,” Kendall nodded and said. ” However there is one thing I can’t figure out.
Reed looked over to Kendall. “What is it Kendall?” Reed asked.
“Why would there be so many hostages in the warehouse and not to forget the high quantity of arms. The hostages could be used for blackmail like how it was for Conor when they held Lillian hostage. However the hostages were people of rather high statuses, to kidnap them would take more than a few goons you could find on the streets. For instance, Nina Brackerman, she is the wife of a huge security firm CEO. Without a doubt, I’m sure she would have trained bodyguards with her at all times.”
“Let’s not forget about the high quantity of arms and military equipment inside a hidden compartment of the wooden toy filled crates. The Hexagrams and not even a the gang behind them, the Dawn Corporation can do all of those things with their own power. We already know that the Hexagrams are controlled by the Dawn Corporation. But what of the people who control the Dawn corporation? We know nothing of them.”
Reed’s brows furrowed as he thought to himself before he spoke, ” I thought of the same thing Kendall. But with all the thinking I’ve done to figure who has the power to supply them with all the guns and strength to enable them to do what they’ve done. Even if the person had the strength of the Lorway Family behind them, they still wouldn’t have the power to do such a thing.” Reed shook his head in frustration. “I can’t think of anyone in Nova city that has the power to do that.”
Aily, who has been sitting silently and listening to the two who were speaking. Seeing that the conversation was going nowhere spoke up.
“Instead of standing around thinking of who could be the backing of the Dawn Corporation. How about we look at what we can do now.”
Reed nodded to Aily’s suggestion and said to Kendall, “How Far have you gotten with the Night’s Eyes? (Instead of calling the organization the Maleus Shades, I changed it to the Night’s Eyes. Don’t worry I changed it in the pass chapter as well.)
“I found a total of ten other people to join me in creating the organization however I still need more manpower to create an efficient intelligence network and not everyone I know of can work well in the organization. So to find more people I want to take a trip to one of the refugee camps in the city and see if I can find some special talents there,” Kendall replied to Reed
“If it’s something you need to do, then do it. And If you ever need help, you can always call me.” Reed looked over to Ivan. ” How are the hostages?”
“The hostages are all fine however some of them do have a mental issue due to the lack of light and some were sick. But with the help of the doctors, they should regain to full health in a few weeks at least.” A frown appeared on Ivan’s face. I can’t say the same for Lillian though.”
The room went silent since the coma Lillian was in was known to everyone in the room Reed was sad while at the same time he was mad at himself. He made a promise to Conor to bring back safe and sound. But not only did he not do that, Lillian was in a coma as well.
“Cough,” Noticing the gloomy feeling swelling the room, Aily cough broke the tension and caught the attention of the room. With everyone’s attention on Aily, she asked
“Where is Abe during all of this?”

Outside Abe’s room stood Reed, Ivan, Kendall, and Aily. As they stood outside the room they could hear a light squishing sound and a small moan coming from within. Everyone’s eyes were wide open in shock as they looked at each other with the exception of Aily, who was clueless in what was going on in that room.
Abe loved watching adult videos, everyone new that. So everyone new what Abe was doing in there with the exception of Aily and didn’t dare to say anything. When a few seconds has passed, Ivan broke the silence.
“So who’s gonna go in there?” Ivan asked.
Ivan looked at Kendall
“Don’t you dare think that I’m gonna go in there.” Kendall stated with an adamant tone.
Ivan then turned to Reed.
“Don’t you fucking think about it.”
Knowing that Kendall and Reed didn’t dare to go. Ivan was going to ask Aily however seeing the look in Reed’s eye, Ivan looked down and sighed.
“Fine I’ll go,” Ivan said and proceeded to open the door.
The room was dark and the only light in the room came from a small computer. In front of the screen, Ivan could see Abe sitting in front of it. From what he could see from Abe’s back. He could see Abe’s right arm moving up and down in front of Abe’s torso.
As he walked slowly in small steps toward Abe, the squishing sound became louder and louder. “Why the hell do I have to be the one to do this!?” Ivan thought to himself in distress.
When Ivan finally got behind Abe, he tapped on his shoulder, shocking Abe to turn around. At this moment a white liquid shot on to Ivan’s face from nowhere.
“AHHH WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS!?!?!?”
