Reincarnating Into God Of Thunder - Chapter 1
“aahhh…you stupid author, how could you ruin such a good book with such a shitty ending?” Lin Feng shouted at his computer as he finished one his favourite novels of all time `God of Thunder’. Out of frustration, the 40 year old electrical engineer and part-time geek kicked his table.
A glass of water on the side spilled over onto the power socket, short-circuiting and sending a bolt of energy towards our protagonist, instantly killing him. “f*ck you, author”. These were his last thought before Lin Feng died.
The end…
But it wasn’t the end, Lin Feng opened his eyes to see himself in a room filled with white light. At first it was hard to see anything, but he slowly adjusted. In front of him, he saw a man whose facial features and presence could only be defined as godly and the pressure from him just being there sent shivers down his spine. The `thing’ he sat on wasn’t something ordinary either. It was a dragon, a real life dragon.
“who..are..youuu?” Lin Feng asked the man, struggling to speak properly. “oh, sorry about that, forgot mortals can’t handle my presence. Let me help you with that” the man held out his hand and a warm light enveloped Lin Feng and the pressure vanished instantly. Still shocked at the sight in front of him, Lei Feng took some time to calm down.
With care, respect and a little bit of fear towards the man, Lin Feng him once again, “Who are you sir?”. The man smiled and answered Lin Feng’s question, “Oh, I am what you mortals consider a God”. Lin Feng wasn’t shocked or even surprised at the answer. He still remembered the soul crushing pressure from before and he could still see the humongous snake like creature the man was sitting on. That was something, no human or human creation could ever compare with.
Before he could ask any questions, `God’ started to talk again, “ I know that you have questions, but they have started to bore me after time and time again, so here’s all the basic information so that you don’t waste my time.”, saying that `God’ held out his hand again, sending another beam of light towards Lin Feng.
The beam of light contained answers to most of the questions Lin Feng had. He had died. There was no denying this fact but there was good news. Karma existed and what you did during your lifetime depicted what you would gain or lose in your next life or if you would even have a next life.
A saint for example would gain the right to become a Minor God and help the God of their Universe manage one the worlds within. Or they could choose to reincarnate into the world of their choice where they would have the opportunity to become one of the major gods in existence and become a `God’ of their own universe. They could also choose to reincarnate back into the world as a normal human where they would enjoy endless fortune due to their good deeds.
While a murderer or rapist for example would have one of three ends, one they would cease to exist, no reincarnation, no sec
at is your choice? Do you want to become my subordinate and rule a minor world or go to another world and have a chance of becoming a `God’? Choose wisely, although you have the chance to become a `God’, it isn’t certain.”
“Do I get any cheats or something!!?” The excitement in Lin Feng’s voice surprised Tai Long. Most people took time to deal with the fact that they were dead but this mortal’s excitement surprised him. “You would retain your memories from your life on earth but as you don’t have saint level karma, you won’t get anything extra.”
Tai Long’s answer caused some disappointment in Lei Feng’s heart but it was immediately replaced with excitement at the fact that he could go to another world. “can in go to the world of `God of Thunder’? it was my favourite novel but the author ruined it with his ending.”
Tai Long didn’t have to look hard for the world Lei Feng was talking about. It was a world that was relatively new with no `God’ level figures, just some Minor Gods here and there. He thought about the possibility of this mortal becoming a `God’ and having him as a friend `God’, they could exchange materials and pointers and maybe go to some forbidden zones in the multiverse where he might find the path the next level.
“Ok, the world is one of the few I can send you to.” Tai Long’s answer caused Lei Feng to burst into happiness. But Tai Long interrupted him before he could thank the `God’. “your mannerism has surprised me mortal, I will grant you three reasonable wishes. Choose wisely.” At first Lei Feng was surprised at the change, but he quickly calmed down and started to think about the things that annoyed him in the novel and he immediately knew what he wanted.“ emm.. I would like the Library from `Library of Heaven’s Path’ filled with the complete knowledge of all techniques, materials and restrictions and potion making techniques in the universe. Also..”
“you have a pretty big appetite, that single wish of yours will cause me quite a lot of effort, so it will count as two instead of one. Choose the next one wisely and keep it within reasonable limits.” Tai Long’s interruption caused Lei Feng to calm down and think about his final wish carefully. He always felt like the author limited the MC’s power by making him focused on Thunder element. Lei Feng knew what his next wish was, but he was worried it might be too much to ask. “ If I could ask sir to give me talent for all elements and max it out, it would be my last wish.”
Looking at the fear of rejection on the mortal’s face caused Tai Long to laugh out loud. “ Bahahaha…. That wish you think is hard is not much for me to do. It doesn’t cost me any time and effort to do so. Your wishes will be granted. As I have already done so much, I will reincarnate you into the MC of the world. Goodbye Mortal, do not forget the favours you owe me.
