Reincarnation As Nanobots - 8 I’m Confused
I had left the town about an hour ago and I mobilized all the nanobots in this world to go around turning everything which doesn’t have an owner into metal. I would say everything but currently, I was still weak so I didn’t want to piss off the wrong people.
I had also secretly sent some of my nanobots to take some quests from the adventurers association, as it would help me create new nanobots from the rewards I got. I wasn’t very good or experienced at fighting but my assassination techniques were beautiful to watch, I could literally just send an electrically charged nanobot through someone’s eye then have it discharge electricity into the brain so much electricity that it completely fried anything that it discharged into. And even stronger opponents were no match for this as I could easily increase the amount of electricity contained within a single nanobot. The only flaw of this technique was that the nanobots could be easily dodged by stronger opponents, or by opponents touching something conductive…
I had been spreading out as much as I could and also introducing myself to some politically influential figures. I didn’t really care about them as they weren’t shown in the anime but I planned to kill them than have my nanobots take their place and change things into a position where I was in power. I needed to get powerful quickly as I wanted that wish I would get from killing the demon king badly!
My main body of Nanobots was currently on its way toward the north as I was trying to find a large body of ocean. The reason for this was because in the anime they never really covered the ocean as they were just in a small city. I planned on finding some unexplored places aswell as hopefully finding a perfect underwater cave to make my home base. I would start my construction of nanobots there. I also needed to find a good source of metal, getting it from the market would benefit me the most as I could spread my nanobots that way aswell but finding a vein of any metal would never hurt. And what I had found was that the higher the quality and strength of the metal the stronger the nanobots produced would be like let’s say if copper could create normal nanobots with the ability to fly, record its surroundings and send everything it sees to me. Then titanium could create extra sturdy nanobots with everything normal nanobots has except upgraded such as faster flying, 360-degree vision for just one nanobot and stuff like that. The more customizations I added to the nanobots the more metal it would use to create, so I tried to keep the amount of customisations to a minimum.
I suddenly spun my head around to face my left as one of my nanobots had seen a powerfull undead knight. It wielded a very long spear with a sort of ax at the end. It was just their fighting with a giant toad. Overwhelmed the giant toad lay defeated beneath the undead knight seconds before I arrived. And to my horror, the undead knight started munching away on the giant toad-like their was no tomorrow. What the hell?
Suddenly he spun toward me with a creepy grin on his face. Usually, people would be scared i. This situation but nit me as I had already seen he noticed my presence from one of the nano came in the bush. I was basically impossible to hit in a fight as I could see everything from my nanobots and I could process the information almost instantly and never forget it. It was sort of like the Sharingan except my abilities were stronger.
I used a special I got from one of gods domain experts combined with his and my own unique parts called blinding steps. Every step taken would cause friction between your foot on the ground on such a high level it produces sparks so bright that they would blind you for a split second but that was all I needed until I took the next step.
As I rushed for him he seemed to be unperturbed by the light and just stared at me with his dark eyes. Then to my surprise, he put his hands up in a surrendering motion. I was shocked which was rare as these undead knights usually just kept some of their skills from their past lives and maybe some memories if they were strong enough or had enough mental power. But never did they keep their sanity!
“Humpfgrf” he made a weird sound at me like he was trying to tell me something at that point I saw it a flash of light behind me from one of my nanocams. As fast as I could I turned around to face another undead knight who this time did have the intention to kill me. Instead if blocking or dodging though to her surprise I just split in half.
Instantly after realizing what had happened she looked back sort of confused only to see tiny black dots scattering into different directions. She looked around her warily for a surprise attack but it didn’t come.
Meanwhile about a mile away I had slowly started amassing my nanobots again to form a body. “Damn that one was to close, she destroyed at least 90 nanobots like they were butter before I could split myself in half.” I thought to myself. The reason I had not gone back to attack her was that I knew I was outclassed. Even when I saw her coming to instill couldn’t react fast enough.
“Tchh that is annoying, i am still very weak i need to get stronger fast!” I kept thinking, my mind was racing about what had just happened. This was impossible from what i can remember. So what had changed? And why were their undead knights roaming around under no ones control anyway? They had to have been summoned.
Something had changed, I wasn’t sure if it was because of my arrival but is suspected not. No, I was nearly sure that wasn’t the case. So something else must have changed.
“This is the first time I couldn’t add things up. I’m confused.”
