Reincarnation In Against The Gods - 122 Heavenly Netherfrost Lake
Heavenly Netherfrost Lake… It was the sacred ground of the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect. It contained extreme cold energy which was the result of the Divine Vein that had been left since the Era of the True Gods. The lake’s cold energy contained extremely high-level ice laws, and each drop of lake water contained an extremely high level of frost power that will never solidify
Even in the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect, only a selected number of people were allowed inside here. Mu Feixue was unsure if she could bring Ryusuke there.
She thought that it might displease Mu Xuanyin because even if she had an intimate relationship with Ryusuke, she wasn’t supposed to take him to the Sacred Ground of the Divine Ice Phoenix Sect. This was what she thought.
“Can we ask my master about this? I am unsure of what we should do.” She was very polite when asking Ryusuke to talk to this with her master first.
“Alright then, let’s go to your master now,” Ryusuke said before using Kamui on the two of them to get in the Main Hall where Mu Xuanyin was seated.
Mu Xuanyin wasn’t surprised to see how Ryusuke had appeared before her. She was though confused about why he had appeared before her. Did he have some sort of complaint? Was there anything not to his liking or did Mu Feixue do something wrong?
“What happened, Dragon Prince? Is something wrong?” Mu Xuanyin looked a little nervous as she asked this question.
“Nothing really… I wanted to take a look at the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake though Feixue was worried about your response, so I decided to come here and ask you in person.” Ryusuke looked rather nonchalant while telling this to Mu Xuanyin.
Knowing that Ryusuke wanted to see the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, Mu Xuanyin was even more confused, “Why do you wish to see the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake? I believe it won’t be helpful to the Dragon Prince since you do not cultivate the Ice Element.”
“I am just a little curious about it. Don’t worry, I don’t plan on doing anything to it. A Sacred Land from the Age of Gods must be interested after all.” Ryusuke said with a small smile on his face.
After knowing about his reasons, Mu Xuanyin looked relieved as she turned to Mu Feixue, “Show the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake to the Dragon Prince.”
“Yes, master.” Mu Feixue obediently responded to her Master.
She looked a little happy that they received permission. She wanted to take Ryusuke to the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake since he wanted to see it.
Ryusuke and Feixue didn’t mention anything about Mu Huanyi. For Ryusuke, he didn’t find that guy important enough to even mention it to Mu Xuanyin.
And as for Feixue, since Ryusuke hadn’t spoken about it to Xuanyin, she also decided to stay quiet about that matter.
They left the hall and started walking towards the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake. As Ryusuke reached the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake, he was a little surprised that even he could feel a little colder at the energy here.
Around this time, the Divine Phoenix inside of Ryusuke’s world as some energy entered inside. He spoke to Ryusuke telepathically, “Why do I sense the energy of that Icebird?”
Ryusuke replied with a nonchalant voice ‘It’s maybe because I am at the location where that bird is sealed. What? Do you want to get out?’
“Sealed… Ahh… I see. Instead of leaving behind its legacies, it sealed itself beneath this Lake and acting as the Divine Vein for its Bloodline Inheritors.”
Ryusuke spoke in his mind ‘You have some sort of grudge against the Ice Phoenix?’
“Nothing much. It’s just that just like how I am one of the Three Supreme Fire Attribute Beasts, this Icebird is one of the Three Supreme Water Attribute Beasts. Just because of their title, these Three Water Beasts think that they are equal to us! The only time they ever win against us is when they are in their own Realm. In all other places, they are just going to get beaten.” The Divine Phoenix said in a prideful voice.
“Really? Gloating to me about your power shows nothing. The fact remains that this Ice Phoenix is still alive even after being poisoned while you had died and have been revived just from a puny Spirit.” Ryusuke decided to give the Phoenix Spirit a reality check.
He didn’t think of one element as superior to another. The Fire was probably the more destructive, but in terms of a balanced element, nothing was better than Water Element.
The Fire Phoenix grumbled something underneath his breath, something along the lines of how it loved spending time with Cang Yue more.
Ryusuke ignored those words and focused on the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake.
“Hmm… Let’s get inside of it.” Ryusuke holds Mu Feixue’s hands before jumping inside of the Heavenly Netherfrost Lake.
He decided it so suddenly that Mu Feixue didn’t get the time to brace herself or even warn him that the water was extremely cold.
The cold didn’t bother Ryusuke because of his Physique, but it did bother Mu Feixue.
Ryusuke spoke in his mind to the Phoenix ‘You had been gloating about your power. Make yourself useful. Spread your energy over Feixue’s body. Make sure she doesn’t feel the cold.’
The Phoenix once again grumbled something underneath its breath before warm energy spread around Mu Feixue’s body. She was surprised when she felt that strange warm energy enveloping her body.
She could feel that the blood inside of her body was wildly moving as if angered at something.
Other than making her a little uncomfortable, it, fortunately, did nothing else.
Ryusuke kept on going deeper.
After some time, Ryusuke and Mu Feixue reached the bottom of the lake.
There… Mu Feixue saw something unbelievable. Instead of the Divine Ice Vein which should have been here, she saw the naked body of a young girl. It looked extremely similar to that of her Master. The girl’s arms were wrapped around her knees. Her head was buried between her knees too, hugging herself into a ball.
She couldn’t believe someone so pure, so beautiful could exist in this world.
“W-Who are you?” She couldn’t help but question that girl in front of her eyes.
“You know Feixue, it’s rather rude to ask the identity of your ancestor, the Ice Phoenix,” Ryusuke told her with a small smile as he continued to stare at the glistering body of the Ice Phoenix.
