Reincarnation of the Cheater - Chapter 35:Coliseum
As I’m sleeping in the warm bed there is a loud knocking on the door that causes me to stir until eventually I get up and open it.
“What do you want.” I say already knowing who it could possibly be.
“It’s 11 in the morning already. I came to check up on you only to see that you haven’t even woken up yet. I know your new to this world but you need to stop being a lazy bum and get up earlier man.” Finn rants on and on about my sleep.
Jokes on him I slept like this even on earth.
“Yeah, yeah. Thanks for waking me up, show me the way to the Coliseum as well please.” I answer using clean on myself to get the drool off my face as I put on new clothes I got from the system.
“Let’s head out.” I say following Finns lead out of the Inn and down a street I’ve never been on.
“Do you know who I’m fighting?” I ask trying to make conversation as Finn just continues walking in silence.
As we continue walking a giant Coliseum that looks like the one in Rome comes into view. It’s even complete with two stone Lion statues in a threatening stance as everyone walks in through the large gate.
As we walk through the gate the inside looks like someone stole the idea from the Romans, the top has an open Dome with paintings over all the walls. As I’m admiring the paintings
“Walk through there and there should be a lobby filled with staff members, tell one of the staff who you are and they will lead you to your waiting room, they’ve been instructed to show you where to go. I’ve got to go take a seat before there isn’t any left.” Finn says pointing towards another gate on the inside.
“Alright, thanks for showing me the way.” I say as Finn takes off and I head through the gate and towards the nearest staff member.
As I’m walking to him he looks up from the paperwork he was doing and says in a friendly tone, “How may I help you, sir. Are you here to register for a fight?”
“No, I’m Bell. I am supposed to have a duel here today.” I answer surprised at hearing his polite speech.
“Ah, Mr. Bell I have been told by my superiors that you infuriated a Noble so I took it upon myself to get you a room to get you warmed up and fully ready for the fight. This privilege is normally given to VIP members but we made an exception and registered you a room. Please follow me to your waiting room.” He says putting his papers down and leading me through the door next to the reception desk he was sitting at.
Following him, through the door, the inside looks like a hotel corridor with branching off doors all throughout the hallway with each of them numbering from 1 to 10. Down the hall is another door although it is considerably bigger. As I’m observing the hall he leads me to the door marked “10”. As he opens the door it leads to another corridor exactly like the one outside except every door was labeled “10” but they had a letter after them going from A to J. He leads me to the entrance of “10F” and hands me a keycard.
“Here you go, this is the key to get inside. Please wait in here until I come to get you when it is time for your duel.” He says and then walks back to the door we came through and pulls out a new keycard
“I guess he was busy.” I say seeing him leave quickly.
Opening the door the inside is a lot larger than I thought it would be. This looks like a waiting room for boxers or something. There is a couple of punching bags as well as some weights and even a shower in the back. This place even has a refrigerator stocked with water and snacks in the cabinets.
Sitting on the couch next to the cabinet I relax and lay down while thinking about what word I should save with word magic so I can be able to use it during the fight. Heal for emergencies, or maybe strengthen on myself. Anyways I need to use this magic more often since it can upgrade itself through understanding and not the upgrade cards.
“How many skill points do I have?”
[You currently have 250 skill points that are ready to use.]
“Level up sword mastery.”
[Processing… Done.]
[Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.2) has increased to Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.3)]
[You currently have 150 skill points left.]
“So it isn’t maxed this time. Could you tell me more about skill levels.”
[Yes. a Beginner Skills will max out at level 3, an Intermediate Skill will max out at level 5, a Master Skill will max out at level 7, and a Grandmaster Skill will max at level 10.]
[Humans are limited by their body and can only reach Master ranked mastery over any skill, to reach grandmaster they would have to break through the human body’s limiter, to go past 199 points in one stat you also have to break the limiter on your body. One example of someone breaking the limit would be the Guildmaster, he recently broke through so his stats can not only go past 199 he can even take up a new class that will replace all of his current ones. Breaking past human limits and achieving a new class will land you a title called “Transcendent” which is literally what you are as you transcended your human body.]
“So that’s how it works. I’ve decided to put the rest of my skill points into Sword Mastery.”
[Processing… Done.]
[Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.3) has increased to Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.4)]
[You currently have 0 skill points left.]
“All right that’s done, now on to which word I’m gonna save.” As I finish with my skill points there is a knock at the door.
