Reincarnation of the Cheater - Chapter 42:Goblin's Rage (5)
[Congratulations the skill “Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.4)” has leveled up to “Sword Mastery(Intermediate)(Lv.Max)”.]
[Sword Mastery Evolution Requirements: Endurance (86/60), Kill an Evolved Monster(1/1), Reach level 50 (39/50)]
[Due to killing a second variant monster the title ‘Variant Killer III’ has been upgraded to ‘Variant Killer IV’]
‘Nice, Use 150 Skill Points on the Disarm Trap Skill.’
[Processing… Done.]
[Congratulations the skill “Disarm Trap” has reached level 3.]
Seeing that I no longer need the Intermediate Sword anymore I decided to give it to Finn since his Sword Mastery skill is currently on Intermediate level 3.
“Finn, since your sword broke from holding off the Goblin General why don’t you take this one?” I say while handing him the Intermediate Sword.
“Are you sure, I don’t want to take your sword it seemed like you were really comfortable with it.” Finn says as tries to push my hand away and deny the sword.
“It’s fine, this sword was made to be compatible with whoever uses it so you don’t have to worry about that. If you really feel bad how about you owe me a favor then.” I say while pushing harder and then eventually he gives up and takes the sword.
“Fine, I’ll repay the favor soon.” Finn finally gives up and we head on down to the Seventh Floor.
“Be careful, from now on every floor will have a ‘Mini-Boss’ with each being stronger than the last.” Shin says while we head down the staircase and into the Seventh Floor where another Goblin with at least the same amount of strength is waiting.
This Goblin doesn’t seem as bad as the other one but I shouldn’t underestimate it just because of instincts. These Goblins should all have unique skills since they’re strong so this is a gold mine for the current me who is in need of more skills.

‘Uh, I don’t think having skills like that will lead me down a good path so I’ll skip them.’
[Correct decision. The skills related to necromancy all affect the user’s personality and soul leading the user to become Crazy and Murderous.]
Although the Goblin Necromancer has some really evil skills and the Scythe me has is filled with malice towards us. That scythe gives me a nasty feeling.

Item: Cursed Grim Scythe
Description: A Scythe that was Cursed by the Goddess of Life. Anyone who equips this Scythe will be unable to sleep and plagued with horrible nightmares.
‘Well damn, it’s cursed with something terrible. I’m starting to feel bad for him now.’
While looking at his status and the item’s description the Goblin Necromancer does what he probably does best and sent over an entire horde of undead monsters. A lot of them are decomposing Goblins but there are some skeleton monsters mixed in throughout the horde.
‘Skill Steal “Mana Manipulation”.’
[Activating skill… Stealing skill from target… Done]
[Congratulations the skill “Mana Manipulation (Lv.5)” has been acquired]
[Congratulations the skill “Mana Manipulation (Lv.3)” has leveled up to “Mana Manipulation (Lv.5)”]
‘He shouldn’t be able to use any magic skills now since he can’t manipulate the mana needed for the skill.’
“Immediately start attacking him before he can summon more of the undead and make this situation worse.” Finn says trying to fight off the incoming horde of undead but also trying to make this into a lesson.
They don’t have souls so I won’t even be able to use Soul Manipulation against them. Man, I just got that skill and still wanted to test that out.
“The best way to deal with the undead is to destroy them entirely or use magic to crush them. Use the explosion magic fro earlier but tone down down the mana you put in it this time.” Shin says while covering me so I can use the magic.
Writing ‘Explosion’ with word magic I try to imagine a smaller explosion than last time. Eventually, I just decide to think up a different process. Initially, I thought of a bomb going off but this time I’ll try to use the process of an explosion.
Thinking of creating the process of an explosion I immediately think of a highly concentrated region of hydrogen and oxygen and then start compressing them. The word this time has not only the color of an explosion to it but it’s giving off an aura of its own. As I go to activate the word it has very small explosions around the word as they chain into even bigger explosions.
“Word Magic Explosion!”
As the word activates the explosions chain together and gets bigger until eventually, it shoots out towards the incoming horde as Finn and Shin jump out of the way for the explosion. The word magic explosion lands in the middle of the horde and finally activates causing a huge explosion wiping out the entire horde and causing a little shaking to the dungeon. This one was more controlled than the last one so the aftershock shouldn’t be as bad.

“You ended up killing the Goblin Necromancer in the blast as well. The next floor should be around the same strength but have a different area of focus. So stay vigilant and don’t relax your guard.”
