Reincarnation of the Cheater - Chapter 45:Goblin's Rage (8)
“The monster on the Ninth Floor is always a Goblin King, it’s skills vary every time but there are a couple of skills that stay the same no matter what. Those are the skills we can prepare ourselves for. One of the skills are it’s Sword Mastery, it has already reached the rank of “Master” and can be said to rival even the dungeon boss itself, although that may not be the case anymore. If my theory is right then the Dungeon Boss mutated in some kind of way and now has intelligence on the same level as the High Goblin’s which was infamous for being more intelligent than a level 100 mage, normally the Dungeon Boss only has the intelligence level of a growing teenager at most but this time it has shown way too much intelligence, it even deactivated the Dungeon skill because it looked down on us. This is what it should look like.” Finn explains while drawing a figure in the dirt. As he continues talking the drawing becomes more apparent until he eventually finishes and the figure is displayed.
The figure in the sand looks just like all the other Goblins but the only factor that differentiates them is the crown on the top of his head.
Looking at the drawing I get confused and ask, “What’s so special about him if he barely looks different than the regular Goblins?”
“Don’t ever judge something based on what it looks like. It may look like a regular Goblin but it will tear you to shreds. Its strength is at least in the 90s and may even have reached 100. The Goblin King is known to use underhanded tactics when fighting and even enslaving female adventurers while using the males as fodder. Always make sure to finish it or else it will continue to control the adventurer’s it has previously defeated.” Finn says telling me off about underestimating it. You can’t blame me for not taking it seriously though, I can’t appraise a drawing.
“Okay, so what are the skills we have to be wary of?” I ask trying to cut the lecture short. I just want to finish this dungeon and take a good, long nap.
“The skills you have to look out for are its Sword Mastery, King’s Intimidation, and it’s mysterious ability to read thoughts. It may not be exactly mind reading but adventurers have reported that it acts as if it was an experienced fighter.” Shin answers in Finn’s place.
“If we’re done here let’s go down to the Ninth Floor then.” I say while heading for the stairs.
“Alright, we’ll go down. Wait for us, and don’t get too far away, if you’re thoughts are influenced we may have to knock you out.” Finn says as he follows behind me.
Going down the stairs onto the Ninth Floor we leave the Eighth Floor behind us and decided to think about how I can change my habit of underestimating the enemy. The Goblin Assassins were tricky and in a way harder than the Goblin General and Goblin Necromancer. Seeing that my view on Goblins are limited and I have no experience with them I decided to listen to them and take their advice this time. It just goes to show if I didn’t have the ability to stop time then I would have been seriously injured if not dead right there.
‘Alright, I’ve decided to plan ahead for this next fight,’ I say while going into stealth after leaving behind a physical clone from LostVayne. I may not be the clone but I can share the clones senses and even retain the clone’s memories if I choose to so it won’t be any different than me actually being there. As I follow the group from behind I let my clone continue the conversation as we head further down the stairs.
“This Goblin King is very strong os from here on out we have to fight together. I’ll be tanking the Goblin King since I have the most experience fighting him. Shin, I want you to try and cut the back of his knees as fast as possible while his attention is on me. The Goblin King may be smart but it can’t resist the skill “Taunt” which literally taunts him and shifts all of the hate onto the user, this will leave an opening for you to get rid of its mobility and then we can bombard it with skills. Bell, use your magic and try to deal as much damage as possible before I use taunt, remember that any damage at all can help out later.” Finn says explaining the plan as we all reach the end of the staircase and right into the Ninth Floor.
As we reach the Ninth Floor and look towards the loud snoring a Huge Goblin with a crown fixed on its head is laying down on the dungeon floor and using a Goblin’s corpse like a pillow. The loud snoring which wasn’t audible until we reached the floor is heavily suspicious so none of us decide to approach it as it may be faking it. Seeing the opportunity I decided to appraise it and look at its status and skills.

Looking at his skills I’m shocked, he can actually read minds as Finn said was possible earlier. It isn’t some cheap version either, it doesn’t seem like it has a limitation. Finally, a skill that is related to the mind and can be used in almost any situation has been revealed.
