Reincarnation of the Cheater - Chapter 49:Goblin's Rage (12)
After thinking through all of our options and having decided to save the word Reverse to use instead of teleport I follow the staircase down onto the Tenth and final floor. The Golbin Lord should be down here but I wonder if he has any guards with him. Now that I’m thinking about it we haven’t heard from the Golbin Lord since he deactivated the Dungeon’s unique skill. The last message he sent said something like, “The Goblin Lord laughs at your puny existence.” and since then he hasn’t really sent anything else. Entering the Tenth Floor there is another hallway that opens up to a large room. In the middle of the room, the Goblin Lord just stares at us as we enter the room. The Goblin Lord is standing there with a smirk on his face, he looks like a green 7-foot human. I heard that the closer monsters are to their higher evolutions the closer that they start to resemble humans but this is the closest I’ve ever seen, he barely has any leftover features showing his Goblin heritage. The only noticeable thing is the pointy ears and his skin being slightly green.
“If you can talk that would make this easier, Silver-haired human.” The Goblin Lord says while looking at me.
“What do you want?” I ask seeing that he is willing to talk.
“Unfortunately I will have to ask you to leave, you humans aren’t needed here and I won’t be staying here either. The demons have offered me a position in their army and I don’t wish to have to deal with you three. Although the three of you aren’t enough to kill me I would lose an arm or two in the fight with no way for regeneration so the best option for both parties is to just ignore each other’s existences. How is it, benefits us both and I won’t touch any of the locals as well.” The Goblin Lord nods as if he expects us to agree with him.
“And you’re supposed to have us all figured out huh, you know exactly how much strength we have as well as all of our skills?” I answer after listening to him.
“Stop speaking nonsense human, you humans have never been as strong as us monsters who have reached our peak evolutions. I may not be at the peak of all monsters but I am at the Final evolution for a Goblin Lord, and through the Demons, I can go even farther. What is the use of fighting if both parties sustain permanent damage and are willing to avoid the fight? To have revenge for the fallen humans? I’ll have you know that since I’ve been born I haven’t even seen any humans face to face, they all die on the Seventh or Eight Floor. You have already gotten your revenge and more out of them than what should have been possible so leave and come back to the Dungeon after I’ve left.” The Goblin Lord explains while holding his arms out showing he doesn’t wish to fight.
I… I don’t know if I can trust this Goblin Lord, there isn’t any reason to trust him but I keep getting the feeling that I shouldn’t kill him.
“What will happen to the Dungeon after you’re gone?” Shin asks after thinking for a while.
“The Dungeon will return to normal after I leave and it will be like I was never here in the first place. I may be a monster but as we monsters evolve we become more like humans in more ways that one.” The Goblin Lord answers. This Goblin Lord seems different than the one that sent me the message of a puny existence.
After thinking it through I decide to use this situation of nonaggression and take the opportunity to check his status.

Looking at his status a wave of sadness hits me. What type of life would you live if your luck was in the negatives? Would I be able to give him the death that he is seeking? I might be able to if I steal his immortal soul skill.
After seeing his status I’ve decided to help him since I would be able to get rid of his skill. Seeing Finn and Shin’s indecisive behavior on whether leaving him alone or confronting him would be a good idea I decided to speak up.
“Finn, Shin, we’re leaving without dealing with him. I can’t really explain the reason why but I believe that he isn’t lying at least.” I say while immediately starting to write the word ‘Return’ with my word magic. As the magic runs to my finger the Goblin Lord stares at me as Finn questions me.
“Did you see something.” Finn asks as he gives me a deep look into my eyes as if he was staring into my soul.
