Reincarnation of the Cheater - Chapter 55:The Illusionist
Following the system’s instructions and going through the tunnel I end up running into a dead end. The illusion doesn’t seem that perfect to me because I can still feel their presence with the presence detection skill. I guess this illusionist isn’t that experienced with his own skill. I activate Stealth followed by Time Stop as I run into the wall and through the illusion. Trying to go through the illusion keeps putting thoughts of doubt into my head. I persist through it as time is stopped only to see a group of Orcs huddling together in a corner of the makeshift room. They aren’t moving due to time being stopped but just by looking at them I can tell that they were shivering in fear.
‘I guess that they knew I was slaughtering the other Orcs. They just couldn’t do anything to me.’
As I get closer to the Orcs time resumes and their bodies go back from being still to shivering as if they were freezing. Looking at them I decided to appraise the one in the middle of the group as they are all crowding that Orc.

Upon confirming that the skill was in my status I try out the fabled illusion magic. As I try to activate the skill all the other illusions in the surroundings are released as they are no longer being supported by the original skill holder. I begin to think about what kind of environment and monsters would bring them the despair and helplessness that they deserve. After going through the options while time was stopped I finally find something that would give them terror like never before.
After thinking it through I decided to send them all into the illusion of them being transported onto a ledge in the middle of a volcano that looked as if it was about to erupt. Looking into the illusion that is playing in their minds I can feel the heat as it starts to make me unconsciously sweat. The heat itself was more than enough to cook them alive if they were actually there. As they looked around the ledge that they were on they can’t see any way out as the Lava starts to slowly rise and their faces contort in pain from the intense heat. The pain that they are feeling is my imagined version of the Sun back on Earth. This was the closest that I could get to the original 27 Million Fahrenheit/15 Million Celsius that the sun is. As the Orcs tears dry up before they can even leave their face they continue to try and find a way off of the ledge only to find that the Lava starts to slowly go down as a giant figure covered in lava starts to float up. The lava that flows down off of the giant body as it exposes large deep red scales that resemble the scales of a Komodo Dragon except for these scales that are exaggeratedly large. The figure eventually comes out of the lava fully to be a full-on Red Dragon and it looks pissed.
The Orcs that were crying and trying their hardest to find a way out of this hell are all sitting there in disbelief as the Dragon locks eyes with them and gives them a big smile and then opens its mouth and swoops down and grabs one of the Orcs as the rest continue to scream and run around. As soon as the Red Dragon moved in to grab an Orc I make sure to kill it outside of the illusion and recycle the body so it won’t leave any evidence as the Orcs continue to scream in despair as they sit there in an illusion. Leaving the illusion myself I decide to sit there and let the Orcs feel the fear of the full front of a Dragon as I imagined.

‘Now that I think about it, the dragon kinda looked like one from a movie on Earth. I can’t remember the name but it was a widely famous series. I’m beginning to remember less and less about anything from Earth. Its been a couple of weeks since I’ve been here but a lot has happened, I’ve only gotten to see the town and it’s surroundings a little but I’ve never left the area. I read in the library that this world is huge itself. The reincarnated people said that it was at least 5 times that of Earth.’
After killing off some of the Orcs I continue to recycle them while also reaping in the experience all the while making sure that the illusionist that kept these Orcs from being found and reported stays alive for a little longer.

‘These Orcs definitely aren’t worth the experience. It’s probably due to the level gap between them and me. The highest level other than the illusionist was about 20 and right now I’m more than double that so I understand the sad amount of experience that they are giving me is reasonable.’

While thinking to myself the Orcs slowly whittled down to the very last one that is the original illusionist. The illusion that I set on him may have ended but the mental fatigue he has right now is real. The Orc illusionist sits there staring at me as his eyes slowly lose any light in them and a relieved look shows on his face as my sword pierces his head.
