Reincarnation Of Third-rate Swordsman - 92 Yggdramerean
In the middle of dark night, the surrounding seems peaceful, as the chilly winds softly blew in the air, causing the tree branches and grass on the ground to sway faintly. Above this peaceful scene was two different moons, a large and small moon. The former was glowing with deep sky blue colour like an ocean, while the latter had a crimson radiance, which seems like dyed in blood.
The twin moon brilliance was shining down on the black-haired man in a black leather armor, with a scarlet cloak draped over his shoulder, standing beside a huge tree, where there’s fresh blood scattered on its roots.
“So what I need to do now? Now that I’m back at level 0.” The black-haired man softly muttered under his breath as he gazed sharply on the dimly lit village ahead.
With a slight wave of his left hand, a translucent aquamarine system attribute panel appeared before the man’s eyes.

‘Sigh! Back again, well, it’s much better than my previous stats…’ He thought in melancholy.

‘Energy… So Over Limit required energy to use.’ He thought as he saw the different details of his legendary skill.
Energy could be earned by meditating and inflicting damages.
“Haaa…” Kim Shin heaved a sighed in disappointment.
……
Back at the awarding room.
“So you want to leave now?” Minsk asked as if he desperately wanted to get away from Kim Shin at any moment.
Satisfied at the reward he obtained, Kim Shin nodded in a good mood while still looking at the Constellations Devourer on his right hand.
“Very well then, but before you go, let me inform you some basic things that you necessarily need to know, so listen carefully…”
Kim Shin nodded in response. He’s waiting for this!
Although, he knew what’s going to happen. He still wanted to make sure that he didn’t cause a change in the future. He could understand that a time traveler could create a butterfly effect even the slightest change in history. Thou, he knew that, he could fathom that he did a large changed in the Tutorial history.
Kim Shin’s batch supposedly had a couple of survivors. However, thanks to him, a lot of people survived compared before.
Staring at Kim Shin’s eyes for a moment, Minsk then continued.
“First and foremost, everything that happened in this tutorial is a trial. We need to understand first the human capabilities before implementing the permanent system to every one of you, hence, as the tutorial ends, we finally able to discover human or earthlings certain capabilities.”
Minsk continue talking while giving Kim Shin a meaningful stare.
‘It seems like I’ve been noticed by them…’ He thought as he perceived Minsk’s meaningful stare.
‘I need to be cautious with this little demon…’ Although that’s what running in his mind, Kim Shin’s expression was still like a student carefully listening to his instructor’s lesson.
“Thus, because everything that happened was a trial, your level will be reset to 0 with zero base stat. While your all skill’s level back to 1…”
Kim Shin nodded as Minsk continue speaking. Minsk’s words are the same back in the time.
“However, after watching the tutorial, the admins had come to a conclusion. They discovered that humans could wield more power than what they expect…” Suddenly stopping his words, Minsk gave Kim Shin a deep stare.
‘I have a bad feeling about this.’ Kim Shin couldn’t help but narrowed his eyes.
“Thus, your skills will now have a limitation, and some was unfortunately lowered the effect!” Minsk said as he raised his voice.
‘Limitation? Shit, I really did it. I changed the history. This is not supposed to happen!’ Grumbling in his mind, Kim Shin was faintly shaken by Minsk’s revelation.
Although he already assume that he slightly changed the history, he never expect that there will be a changed in the system, and skill’s power at all of them!
“Besides that, we also change some skills that consuming magic to activate a skill, to energy. Energy could be obtained through inflicting and receiving damages, also you could use breathing exercise.”
[Basic Breathing Exercise Lv.1] (Passive)
Grade: Common
(While meditating; energy and magic power natural regeneration will increase by 10%)
‘At least, they didn’t change this energy system.’
“That’s the basic of the skills, and for further information, please explore it by yourself. Next is the attributes, to give you some basic ideas, Strength increase physical attack power and the weight behind the attack. Constitution increase maximum HP and stamina. Vitality increase the recovery rate of stamina and HP. Dexterity increase Attack Speed and Movement Speed. Intelligence increase magical attack power and MP, while Senses increase perception.”
A certain amount of damage will be added for every 2 points invested on Strength.
Adding 1 point on Constitution increased the maximum HP by 50 points.
Investing 1 point on Intelligence increased the maximum MP by 20 points and a certain amount of magical damage will be added for every invested points.
“That’s the basic attributes, while there’s also a few rare attributes, an example of it is Luck and Charm.”
Luck, given its name, it can change your fate, like getting rare item drop, or when you’re about to trip and fall on the ground?
With Luck, before you could fall, someone will save you.
Charm, increase the persuasion and leading ability, also if a not-good looking person has a Charm attribute, it won’t make the person handsome or beautiful, it would only make the person more pleasing in the eyes.
“Also we heard some of the earthlings complaining about the summoning of system panel, we did a research and finally came to a decision. After you arrived at your designated location, you don’t need to think or call out the system, by just waving your left-hand slight downward, the system panel will immediately spawn before you. Although it was slightly inconvenient, you could still summon some of your items with your thought. However, you could only set a five items to summon, like a shortcut. If you open your inventory, you can see a star on every one of your items, you just need to click the star and the item will be instantly save and you could summon it without any problem.”
“Speaking of the item, it seems like your gears are high level items, you won’t be able to equip that since we added a prerequisite level before you could equip the item, while some other items are required a specific class to equip.” Minsk spoke as he scrutinized Kim Shin from head to toe.
“Next is the class, when you arrived at your designated location, head to the City Hall, you can see there 4 statues. The Warrior Category, which focused on defense, it consists of a three-class; Guardian Warrior, Shield Knight, and Berserker. The Weapon Specialist, which focused on physical damage output; Swordsman, Ranger, and Assassin. The Mages, which focused on magical damage output; Wizard, Elementalist, Summoner, and Cursemancer. Lastly, the Healers, which focus on healing and support; Cleric, Bard, and Shaman.”
“While that’s the basic classes, Yggdrasil also has rare and hidden classes. Of course, you need to explore it by yourself. Then, after the primary class, there will be the subclass, you could learn three of the various subclasses in Yggdrasil…”
“That’s all about the class, do you have any question?”
Kim Shin silently shook his head in response.
“No? Okay. Then, next is we also removed the appraisal function, you couldn’t appraise anyone, and item of someone else anymore…”
“What?!” Kim Shin suddenly blurted out when he heard Minsk’s words.
‘Why? Why they remove it?’ Kim Shin wondered. He’s utterly confused why they removed the appraisal function. Is it because of him?
“It’s our administrator’s mistake to put appraisal function on the system, though we had thought to attach it permanently, however, we found that there are certain individuals used it in a way that we didn’t expect, hence we came into this decision. Nevertheless, you don’t need to worry that much, you could still learn the appraisal skill if you managed to found a skill book. Speaking of that, Yggdrasil also has Appraiser subclass, unfortunately, the appraiser could only appraise an unidentified item and couldn’t see the information of someone’s item. That being said, you could only see the information of the item if it’s in your hand or inventory. Thus, appraiser is one of the rarest subclass.”
‘Appraiser huh…’
Kim Shin thought as he couldn’t help but think back those appraisers that belittle him and some of his acquaintance. They are all arrogant scumbag. They are all extortionists!
“And lastly, before I transfer you to your designated place, if you still have Soul Points please use it now, since you can’t use it on Yggdrasil. Vol is the only currency we have there and nothing else…”
‘Yeah, I know that! I don’t need you to tell me that!’ He thought in annoyance as he looked at his soul points. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to buy any good skill.
“I still have some here, but I can’t see where I can use this, can you convert my soul points to Vol?” Kim Shin innocently inquired.
“No problem… It will be automatically converted as you arrived on Yggdrasil. So, that’s all, any question?”
“No.” Kim Shin leisurely replied.
“Hmm. Okay. Then,”
Flick!
With the single flicked of his little fingers, a tall and massive white vortex appeared beside the floating imp.
“Enter this portal and you will be transported to the location where your family is…” Minsk spoke as he gestured Kim Shin to walk.
Leisurely trodding, Kim Shin suddenly frowned and stopped, ‘Family? I didn’t know this…’
‘I’m supposed to be transported where my family is? However, since I’m an orphan, was I randomly transported before?’ Kim Shin was utterly baffled and puzzled right now.
He could remember that amidst of his transporting, a sudden error occurred in the system, and he was randomly transported at the front of a village.
Kim Shin couldn’t help but asked, “What if I don’t have a family? Where am I going to arrive?”
“Hmm… You will be transported where your blood relatives are…” Minsk thought for a moment before answering with a smile.
‘Blood relatives huh? Don’t tell me I don’t have blood relatives? Is that even possible? Sigh, it no use thinking of this…’
Shooking his head, Kim Shin continued to walk, arriving before the portal, Kim Shin could hear Minsk words. “Farewell, I hope we see each other again next time. Good luck!”
‘I hope not!’ He retorted in his mind, as his entire body engulfed by the white light.
Fwoosh!
Minsk stare at the place where Kim Shin vanished as he muttered and grinned. “He’s truly interesting.”
*********
As he entered the vortex, Kim Shin’s entire body stuck in the place as he felt that the surrounding was moving so fast.
When suddenly an enormous pitch-black horizontally stretched hexagon, with a big error word on it appeared before his eyes.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
[Error! Error! Error! Couldn’t find the destination… Commencing random teleportation…]
Series of system notification rang out as the big error blocked his entire vision like a virus.
‘It’s happening…’
Crash!
Then, his vision turned black as his entire vision crashed like black and white static.
********
After an unknown amount of time, Kim Shin could feel that his vision slowly coming back to him. Opening his eyes, Kim Shin found himself in the middle of nowhere, where he was surrounded by sea of tall trees.
‘I really arrived here once again!’ He thought as he looked at his current equipment.
He’s wearing a black t-shirt, black pants, and black leather shoes, which doesn’t have additional stats on it.
‘It seems like I really need to buy a level 0 items.’
Then, without further ado, Kim Shin waved his left hand and in an instant, a translucent white panel appeared before him, which consisted of a number of tabs. Character’s Tab at the top, followed by Inventory, Friends, Party, Map and Shop at the bottom.
Opening the System’s shop, Kim Shin found his Vol in the left bottom of the screen and to his surprise he has more than a million vol.
“1,000,632?!” Kim Shin blurted out in shocked as his eyes were about to fall out of his socket.
He was utterly dumbfounded, although he heard the series of system notification earlier, he doesn’t have time to check his rewards, except the title he checked, he didn’t manage to see his other rewards.
Seeing that he’s actually rich, he didn’t hesitate any more and immediately bought basic items.

Wearing an entire black suit armor, a scarlet cloak draped over his shoulder, a pitch-black leather scabbard on the left of his waist, dark pants and shoes, Kim Shin’s appearance was like a novice adventurer.
Clicking on his inventory tab, Kim Shin immediately found the constellations devourer, then without any hesitation, he clicked the star on it, saving the sword on his shortcut. Next, he waved his left hand, closing the system’s panel, Kim Shin immediately summoned his Constellations Devourer with his thought.
Fwoosh!
A shining pale-white light appeared on his right hand before turning to a pitch-black long sword.
‘Hello partner, this is your shelter for the time being.’ Kim Shin thought as he put his constellations devourer on his scabbard on his left waist.
“Now… let’s go!”
Whoosh~
Dashing like leopard, Kim Shin ran in a straight direction, as if he was familiar with his location. Apparently, even after a long time had passed, Kim Shin could still remember this place.
He ran with a high speed but calm expression, however, if someone looked closer at Kim Shin’s eyes, they could see that his dark-blue eyes are sharply glinting, like a tiger waiting for its prey.
After a couple of minute of sprinting, Kim Shin could finally saw a source of light in the distance, slowing his footstep, he then soundlessly peeked his head out of the bushes, and look far ahead.
Narrowing his eyes, Kim Shin found a dimly lit village guarded by two male, seems like a human, however, compared to humans, this guard had a colored rune connected on their hair.
“Yggdramerean…” Kim Shin mumbled seriously.
Compared to other races, Yggdramereans have a long lifespan, with an average of 300 years.
Yggdramerean is the real resident of Yggdrasil; their appearance was almost the same with humans, except they have a Rune’s which looks like a part of their hair just with a different colour. They have several shapes and colour depending on the person, and a person can have either 1 or 2 of these. Their runes are something like a “nerve” because it has a lot of roles. It can shine different colors depending on the person’s mood, so it’s like a person showing expression. People are able to control their runes when they get older.
Their runes are also a direct antenna into their minds and thoughts which is why they react strongly if someone touches it. Yggdramereans don’t let each other’s Runes touch unless the person is really close to them because it connects their emotion and “current” thoughts. When a Yggdramerean dies their Rune “runs out” meaning it loses its colour and shine. No matter how amazing their rune’s power actually is the price for using it is their own life-force.
Looking at the two guards, armed with light armor and a spear, Kim Shin couldn’t help but grit his teeth in anger. He could still remember, how these Yggdramereans, imprisoned, beaten, and left him starving in an old cell with those humans that captured before him. Fortunately, there’s a certain individual gave him a piece of food when he’s on the verge of dying.
So, what he’s going to do?
Kim Shin, suddenly made a creepy smile while looking at the two Yggdramerean guards as he slowly backed away.
Rustle! Rustle!
“Hmm?” The Yggdramerean guard on the left post turned his head on the left side when he heard the rustling sound.
Rustle! Rustle!
The rustling sound continued, forcing the guard to check where the sound coming from.
“Hey! Where are you going?” The Yggdramerean guard on the right post called out when he saw the other guard leaving his post.
“Just a minute, I’m just going to check something here..” The guard answered as he continued walking towards the rustling sound when he suddenly saw a dark silhouette of a humanoid figure.
“Who’s there?” He called out. However, there’s no response at all.
Raising his guard, the Yggdramerean also raised his spear forward as he carefully advanced,
Tap! Tap!
The guard softly walked forward with a silent movement he could muster.
Whoosh!
A sharp wind passed behind him as he caught a glimpse of a humanoid silhouette on the ground before him, indicating that this person is behind him, “Who’s there?!” He yelped after his immediate response. Executing his well-trained movement. However, he found no one there, not even a single monster or anything.
“Am I seeing ghost?!” The guard wondered as sweat slowly forming on his forehead. “Haha. What the heck am I talking about?” He then shook his head in embarrassment.
“Unfortunately, you’re not seeing a ghost…” An eerie voice whispered behind him, startling the guard as he was about to look behind. “Who—”
The guard’s words were immediately cut as his neck was also cut by pitch-black flashed.
Splurt!
Blood continues to gush out of the guard’s neck and eventually fell on the ground lifelessly.
Ding!
[Available for Soul Cleaving!]
Those words appeared above the guard’s corpse. Then, without any hesitation, Kim Shin stretched his right arm to the corpse and uttered. “Soul Cleave!”
Fwoosh!
Dark violet aura appeared on his hand and engulfed the guard’s entire corpse. Then, after a couple of seconds.
Ding!
