- Chapter 66 Chapter 60 ~ Hidden Reward Completion
Charging ahead with sword and shield, the guardian bashed the sting of a scorpion away and slashes its head. The assassin behind him moves swiftly to stab that monster repeatedly on the crack of its head.
*Bam *Bam *Slash *Slice
There are many more scorpions in the area and the team workforce has been split, the knight and the priest go off on their own and protect the center. While Siola and the mage teaming up against the many wasps on the back. The former mumbled, “Create Entry-tier Undead, Air Stinger.”
*Fwooomph*
The body of the wasp reformed into the same wasp but a darker and more horrifying creature. “Must be nice to have summons around to take care of your business for you, huh?” said the Mage sarcastically. She is not happy that Siola’s minion took her kills, even though it does not matter at all since they are in the same party.
This is the fever that plagues some DPS players. They don’t want their job to be taken from them, even though it’s not. Siola has done it so that the mage would conserve some more of her mana to use more spells on the other troublesome creature instead. ‘Heh, I guess this is why people don’t want to party with them,’ she then went and said, “Tell that to Summoners. Bastards always hide behind my puppet’s butt.”
*Pfft*
Trying to hold off her laughter, the Mage turned her head around while charging her spell. Siola glanced at her bluntly, ‘Hunh, why the hell is she laughing? Where’s the punchline here.’
Turning around, she found the knight and the priest are being overwhelmed by the scorpions. Different from the rest, they don’t have anyone to tank the damage or mitigate them to something else. Siola wants to help lessen their work, “Hey, think you can handle it alone? I need to get my blessing from the gods.”
*Pfftt *Gwehehehe
The mage also noticed that as well, she nodded as she waves her away.
Moving just enough to get close in range, Siola closed her eyes and combined her hands. Creating a circle of magi, and then fires off multiple [Magic Arrow] from it. *Fwoosh *Fwoosh *Fwoosh *Fwoosh *Fwoosh
*Baks*
It made one of the scorpions that are about to attack the priest abruptly stunned all of a sudden. Noticing the banging sound in his ears almost defense him, the warrior turned around and deliver the final blow to the stunned monster. *BAM!
His eyes met Siola’s, then he nodded as an expression of gratitude.
Soon after, they finish wrapping up the battle to an end.
“That was an awful lot of damage for a magic arrow, didn’t you say you were level 40?” said the mage.
“Mhm. Well, same goes for you, those fireBALLS ain’t normal either.”
“Mnghf— you,” giggling to herself, “Y-You need to stop that, my tummy starting to get hurt.”
The knight asked, “How many can you raise?”
Siola noticed that he’s asking her, “Just 3.”
“Hmm…” a base number. There are many ways to increase it, but Siola does not have access to them. “Nevermind then.”
She nods without asking any further.
The party then went deeper into the dungeon while Siola and the mage are getting along quite nicely with each other, mostly gossiping and talking trash about the other occupation in their league.
Arriving at a large gothic double gate, the party went in without discussing the strategy. Since all of them know what they need to be doing, there is no need for further wasted time.
A large centipede with two heads is waiting for them inside, “GO!”
The tank moves to circle around while the mage charged up her spell, creating a circle of magi cloaked in lava. Her hands radiated a scorching flame, and when she opened her eyes, she aimed directly to the centipede, and muttered, “Fire Ray!”
*Bwoooooooooooooooompf*
Laser of orange flame burst out of her hands and scorched the centipede aflame. It let out a screeching sound that deafens the party’s ears, but the priest lessen the pain by using his spell [Cleanse]
After successful removal of the negative effect, Siola fires off hundreds of [Magic Arrow] to the centipede, rapidly damaging herself in the process. The priest cannot heal her, but he gave her the health potion that she needs.
The knight and the assassin also made their moves by rapidly moving in sync as Siola’s and the mage’s spells stagger it.
The centipede then shook them off and quickly get into the ceiling, “Kreeeghhh!” firing multiple green substances. This without a doubt, the poison that the knight mentioned some time ago.
Siola moved her hands around and activate [Clairvoyance] spell. This light up the area that the poisons are going to land, she quickly grabbed the mage’s wrist and went into the safe area. The mage lifted her staff, and pointed it at the centipede, “Flare!”
*Bwoosh *Bwoosh *Bwoosh
The centipede was stunned by the many sparkles in its eyes, *Thud*, dropping to the ground, this is the chance to deliver the heavy blow to it, but then… the centipede suddenly recovers from it.
The battle went on for another hour, and they still haven’t managed to defeat it yet. “Dammit, something’s wrong here. Just how much health does it have? That thing hasn’t even raged yet.”
Discussion in the middle of the battle is never a good thing, and they know it, but they need to do it. The guardian is tanking the damage while taunting it with the priest healing him from behind.
Siola closed her eyes and used [Clairvoyance] once more, and she found nothing with it.
The mage then said, “Why don’t we just push on? Maybe that thing just has that much health. This place is quite random, and that might be the case.” The knight ponders a bit, and after a while of thought, he agreed to do it.
And so, the result…
Is correct.
The centipede indeed has that much health, it took them another two hours to defeat it, and it has not raged once. When a boss rage, it would become stronger and deadlier than it ever was, but this one is not.
– Enemies Defeated: 1
– EXP Gained: 400.000
– Centipede Legs x12
“Damn, no cores again” sighed the knight.
The guardian responded, “God, let’s just stop for today, man. I’m tired. We can still grind it tomorrow.”
It was a hard decision that he had to make, but he complied. “You guys need it that badly?” asked Siola. “No, not really. He just wants more of them so we can have more items to sell in bulk. Ekolia just became a loot grind after that update, and the pricing for things just skyrocketed.”
“Yeah… then, we’re done here?”
“Ahh, yes. Sorry that we only do one run, we’ve been doing this for a while now.”
“No big.”
“See you around then.”
Siola nodded at their goodbyes, and the mage winked at her as they left.
“… guess it’s just me again.”
Sitting alone in the dungeon amidst the dark, ‘A few more hours before this place reset. I still have time.” She loiters around, trying to find a good spot to sit on. Why she’s still not leaving the dungeon despite she’s done clearing it up? It is because she still has some business here.
Before she went out on this journey, Kurira gave her the key she got from the [Inbox].
[Uncommon Dungeon Key]
‘It’s a tier 2 key that would unlock the next stage of a dungeon… or a treasure. Well, which one do you think that is going to open, hm? Heh, obviously, you thought that I would be mad-crazed for dungeons and mindlessly going there, seeking for glory and achievement, huh.’
‘Well, this time, honey… you’re wrong.’
She throws the key to the center of the room, *Bwooooosh*, and it quickly disappeared. A portal on the ground was formed. With a grin on her face, she walks in there and arrived in a white room. Full of treasures.
“Bwahahaha!”
‘Shit, I can’t believe this. The freakin’ glitch still works!!’
What she did was to manipulate the chances of getting another stage to the treasures, by sitting on where she sits, the dungeons probability for the treasure did not change, but the portal to the treasure room was clipped at the top of the portal that was supposed to be another stage. This means the first portal she enters will be the destination she entered.
The room full of treasures does not truly have an actual treasure, but it has some useful things that she needs. She has no time to check out more of the loot. Not that she has anywhere to go, but more like, she doesn’t want to stay in this dungeon for too long.
She quickly jumped to the portal above and walked out of the dungeon. The party from before is nowhere to be seen.
“I should head back too.”
…
Sitting behind a tree just before a cliff, enjoying the scenery of a clouded sky, “Mm!”
Siola took out all of her loot and laid it down in front of her, “Let’s see… Potions, enchanted gear, appraisal book, ruby gem, mat— wait, hold on! Appraisal??!” her eyes quickly widened, she opened up the log files of series from the [Notification] and check out the recent one.

– (Antique) Nightwolf Gauntlets

“Oooohohoohoho! Yes, YES!” joyfully celebrating her luck, she rolls around while kissing the book repeatedly on its cover. She then works on it, opening it up and notice that the book is not disintegrating. “Hm?” when she opened that book, she saw many writings on it. The whole page is filled with many things, “Hunh… so I have to learn this like an actual… err, wait, is this real?”
No matter how many times she reopened the book, it is still there and not giving the skill that she wants. Her face turns sour, “Realism Mode” she mumbled. She then flips up the book, spending the whole day reading it. She didn’t notice it, but the night has come, and when she finished that book and gained the appraisal skill, she heard a loud howling from afar.
Her eyes turned blank with tightened lips, she quickly sent all of her items back to inventory and put the Enchanted Fur on top of her body, covering her all over. She closed her ears and shut her eyes.
*Grr *Grahn!*Grahn
Trembling in fears, a swarm of jet-black wolves passes through the area. Some even rotating on the tree she’s at.
Siola does everything she can, she holds off her breath and not moving even an inch away from her spot. When the wolves were gone, she breathes a sigh of relief and went to sleep there and then.
…
The next day, she wrapped all of her things up and went back to the village.
Sighing, “My goodness. I need to rank up. Without the [Summon Seal], I won’t be able to fight anything!”
‘The seal, you see. It’s a skill that a Necromancer gets when they rank up to apprentice. What it does is giving me an option to summon the raised undead that I’ve made or reanimated that was stored in the [Store Seal], what that does is pretty obvious I suppose?’
‘Anyway, it was quite a hellish day last night. I feel like I haven’t slept at all. Those wolves are very dangerous and have a very high level. Not to mention, their abilities are on par with some bosses in a dungeon.’
‘Alright, enough about that. I got some good news, and that is… THIS!”

‘Mhm, [Appraisal]. With that, I won’t need to go in blindfolded with anything. I also wear those gauntlets too, replacing the hide gloves. It is a lot better, and I think I should find the rest of it.’
Nightwolf Gauntlets (+5, +8) / Bonus: Increase Health Recovery by 10 per second whenever the user stood under a shadow
Siola’s Note: My recovery on health for having 0 Vitality is not actually 0, I still have my Innate class capability, which from Necromancer, having 3 Health Recovery per second. Now, this is not a lot on paper, but, if you’re actually standing for a while and comparing to the others, you’re going to see that it speeds up a lot.
‘I used to have around 25k health per the second recovery when I was a priest back then, it was like cheating to be honest, but that too has some drawbacks since it was an effect from my gear. Meaning I can’t use any other gear that adds another and better benefits. Heh, it was a fun experiment. Especially when you combine it with health regen spell.’
‘What everyone should focus on is maximizing on things that you actually want to do. Raiding a dungeon, you’re gonna need a party, and the team composition must be correct, else you’re going to bring down your teammates with you.’
Moving her staff left and right, gazing at it passionately, ‘Gaming is complex, it cannot be summarized with one word. Unless one tries it themselves and truly invested in it, they would never understand it.’
