Reliving The Past Mage Of The Abyss - Chapter 72 Chapter 65 ~ Falls Apar
***
Several days have passed ever since Siola started her new business. Currently, there are only 5 clients she has served. Rakuri 8x, Kurira 2x, Bladed Snow 3x, Light Lush 3x, and the lady of the inn (not the innkeeper) 5x. She’s playing it safe, aware of her current mental state, she decided to just do it with only someone she knows.
Totaling, she has gained over 1600 gold coins.
What made her did this is something she has been thinking for some time. She decided to be upfront about it to her friends, and it cost her plenty She broke up with her girlfriend, Rakuri, and now… well, nothing much has changed except her relationship status with her is no longer girlfriends as of now Rakuri has also started a new one with Yuri instead, Siola’s mother.
Fully clothed as she counted the money inside the purse, the lady of the inn grinned as she shifted her eyes to her. After she got clothed, she pressed her cleavage into the petite damsel (not really), and whispering in her ears, “The texture there was and still is… the best out there.”
Lightly, Siola blushed. She then said, “Thank you for taking care of that child while I was away.”
“Fufu, no problem. Are you not coming back anytime soon?”
“…” she paused for a moment, “I don’t know.”
The lady said nothing, and after a nod, she kissed Siola’s head and then send her away to meet Lilian. ‘Hm?’ it’s not the new leather clothes that surprised her, but how cheerful and excited Lilian was when she saw Siola walked out, “Let’s go.”
She nodded.
After bidding her farewell, they rested on a stone beside the river and have Siola configured Lilian’s status. ‘Hmm… I need a DPS, but surely, I can’t just make her do that role. That’s just outright stupid. Having a support to support a support is not bad I suppose, let’s do that, maybe add a little…’
“Oh yeah, here. You need to handle yourself when I’m not around.” A blade, spiritlessly being laid on the ground. Lilian was nervous. Let alone a sword, she never touch anything sharp in her entire life. But seeing Siola’s stern looks make her confident of herself. She took it from the ground and hold it tight.
“Don’t hug that thing, it’s sharp.”
Lilian nodded.

Siola is thinking about what they should do next. She already has enough money to rank up, but the percentage of ranking up is so extremely low for a pinnacle class to be successful. In her past life, she was stacked with money, and retrying for thousands of times won’t matter to her if she wanted. However, it’s different now. Even though she got unlimited money from the credit card, she can’t no longer do the exchange.
‘This girl also needs a class, without it, she would just be a sitting duck for the wolves. I have some class for her in mind, but I don’t know whether they are suitable or not.’
‘Hmm…’
‘Maybe… I should take her to get the Chronomancer Class. That would be extremely helpful, and I’m also interested just how strong that class would be if she’s managed to reach a higher level than me… I wonder if she would leave me once that happen.’
‘…’
‘Guess it’s decided then.’
‘As for the rank up… it’s a bet.’
A Chronomancer Class is the one she used to have. Most of its skills are related to time control and space, it’s a powerful unique class that one rarely able to have.
‘Only have 1 scroll left…’ gripping it tight in her hand, she rose from the ground, ‘First, I should take whatever quests I can. Let’s check out the board first, maybe there’s something good in there.’
Heading to the center of Stoneanvil, where people of this small village spent their activities together. Walking their kids, pets, selling some shaved ice, snacks, etc.

“Hmm…” thinking deeply in her thoughts, ‘Adventurer Recruitment, maybe I should sign up to that. I still don’t have a guild after all, or maybe I should just join a player guild instead. Whatever, let’s just take this, that, and that one too for now.’

‘Hmm… Mount Tempest, that’s the place where I can get that class.’ After she took the papers, another one shows up. ‘Well, it would be unfair to others if I hog them for myself. Guess Aris really is thoughtful, I wonder just what kind of quest would the NPC give us.’
“I should go to Lorkhan, we can get to Mount Tempest by riding a carriage from there.”
She took out the scroll from the inventory. Holding Lilian close as she gripped her clothes tightly. She then entered the code for the teleportation. Instantly burn aflame, the two quickly transported to the front of a giant gate.
“…”
Finding themselves among many people that are lining up for entry, they took their sweet time to rest and continue to line up. They are not players, but the real citizen people of this world. They’re bringing many varieties of items, ‘Probably for trades. Lorkhan IS the Central Marketplace for the world after all. Especially the player guilds, they’re hogging all the profits for themselves.’
Siola properly paid the entries-fee and went inside without any problems. Unlike Bursoli, people do not need to have an ID to enter. Though, they would be required to have money all the time… else they will get kick out. ‘Imagine paying 5 gold coins just to enter, and another 20 gold coins to live here for a month. Obviously, you don’t need an ID, but goddamn it would be so punishing if you don’t have it.’
‘Well, I’m here for a short business, so I don’t have to worry about that.’
They went into a church, ‘No wait, I should go to the cathedral instead. Gah, whatever, let’s just do it here.’
A dashing image of an angel was pinned at the top center of the glass wall, there is no one but the priest and the priestess that are inside. The Archbishop approached them. “Welcome to our humble domain, traveler. Is there anything I can help you with?”
Siola bowed and told him that she needs a class rank up. The fee for an Apprentice Rank up is 1000 gold coins. However, since this is the first time they’re here. The archbishop told them to pay half of that amount. Soon as radiating light shot towards the ceiling, Siola sits cross-legged at the center of many priestesses as they surround her. Their bust and butt swayed Siola for a moment, but she was reminded once again that it’s a very important event… reminded of… not to lose focus.
*Ziiinng*
A seal of magi appeared beneath her and started whirling around, turning into volatile tentacles and wrapped her all over. The archbishop noticed that it’s not an everyday routine of ranking up travelers, but to assist something horrifying to be something even more. One would stop, however, not for him. A grin was formed on his face, the archbishop combined his hands and shouted, “Emanating Light!”
Golden white strings quickly wrapped the tentacles and pulled it away, a spectral hand suddenly appeared and started absorbing the negative aura underneath the damsel. She then started seeing a vision. The ruler of the prison realm, Ludwig… alongside the Divine Konig, they stood in front of her corpse. She can see it in the surrounding, piles of corpses all around, it came from many different varieties of creatures. Comets falling down from the dark blue sky, lava emerged from the ground, death itself occupied the air.
As Ludwig approaches her, the smoke that’s whirling on top of her started dissipated, but Ludwig quickly snatches it away. Gripping it tightly in his bony hands, his croaking and disturbing voice mumbled one thing. “Rise…”
“My Child.”
Her eyes quickly widened as something horrible welling up from her stomach. The archbishop noticed it, he quickly formed many kinds of hand signs and activated many kinds of miracles surrounding her.
*Blleeeeeergh*
She vomited as her pupils turned with blood coming out of them. She vomited many kinds of small wiggling creatures from her mouth. Her eyes started tearing up amidst the blood, but she endured it all and throw up even more of those creatures. Clearing up her stomach clean from them.
The archbishop pulled the lights once more, and send it down to her.
*Bwoooost*
“…” a shock is truly an understatement to what she’s feeling right now.
The archbishop is shaking. Unlike the priestesses who don’t know anything of what just happened, the archbishop knows full well about it. He’s shaking not because of fear, but an excitement. She bows deeply to Siola and then assisted Lilian to achieve Apprentice as well, skipping the Novice rank up. All for free.
After bidding her farewell, Siola walked out and went to the back alley.
Resting her back to the wall. She slides down, and while holding her legs, she rested her face in it.
“…”
Her heart is filled with hatred and anger but amidst all of that… it’s somewhat watery for her. ‘Why…’
‘Why can’t people just live me alone.’
‘I just…’
‘I…’
‘I just want to play games… that’s all.’
Flood of memories of her time with Ludwig came back to her mind, the soothing feeling when he patted her head. The memories of Avarice waving her goodbye, the memory of Malice holding her hands as they walked.
That warmth… the sight when everyone sending her away, when they are together, long and deeply gazing at her. She knows what they felt and hope… they want her to come back. Not for duty or anything… they just want her to come back safe… and sound.
It’s like, everything is coming back to her.
‘I should’ve… I shouldn’t have come back.’
