Retaliate Heroes Should Be Evil - Chapter 7 A Taste Of Vengeance
Akito was fully focused on teaching the others to fear. He had an idea for his mimicry skill, after he had given up his humanity, he got the opportunity to temporarily take on his old shape.
It wasn’t long before those heroes arrived at the summit. They wondered where the dragon had gone. Was it just a rumor, after all?
Akito first retained his new form and again took on the illusion of Lorias. When he looked at his classmates, he discovered Kazumi among them.
It was extremely rare for Kazumi to travel without Shota. He used to stick to him like a limpet. As they approached Akito, he had already developed a plan. Soon his cruelty would show.
Kazumi was the first to question Lorias. For him it was very strange that there was a person up here on the summit.
Akito played the innocent lamb and explained to them what had happened.
“The gods have answered my prayers. After hearing about the Quest, I set out to meet you in person. You are my role models who will save us. When I got here, I saw I was alone. After a short walk I heard a loud roar from a cave. It had to be the dragon. But I’m way too weak to attack him. That’s why I longed for your arrival. Please let me witness your triumphant victory over the Dragon. I will show you the way to the cave as thanks for your kindness.
The heroes were still a little suspicious. How can a simple adventurer reach the summit of the highest mountain so easily?
For Akito, the monsters on the way there were child’s play. He killed dozens of them with ease. To take no risks, he imitated his real level to his fake status. Before them stood Loria’s Astan Level 30, known in the guild as the Grim Reaper. In his status were simple skills that were easy to acquire. These included Monster Slayer, which increased attacks against monsters by 10%, and Spirit Power, which increased mana 5%.
So far everything looked like an ordinary but strong adventurer, who was on a high level with a lot of diligence and courage. Last doubts were removed when they re-examined his status.
Akito’s feint worked. But to his surprise, he was supposed to help them kill the dragon. As bait he should lure out into the cave and the dragon. If he were killed, he would have offered an honorable sacrifice for the kingdom.
Inside, Akito knew something like this would happen. As soon as they would face such a powerful opponent, any sacrifice would be right for them to stay alive themselves.
After hearing Kazumi’s words, Akito was sure. His schoolmates were cowards. Praised by the king and full of confidence, but completely useless in this fight.
Almost all of them were at level 20, probably by killing normal monsters. In addition, many of them had special magic skills, especially elemental magic. But against Akito their skills were useless, his magic resistance was extremely strong. Akito led them to the cave. On the way there, he asked about the adventures they had experienced. He wasn’t really interested in all this, he just wanted to get information. Apparently they had saved a village from a giant dog-like monster that consisted only of bones. Akito had fought one of them before.
So the escape of the monsters from the dungeon had begun.
In 3 months there will be a tournament, it will be fought for the hand of the princess. Among the spectators also the 3 strongest heroes will be represented.
When he heard that, he began to smile. It was like a shortcut for his plans.
Shortly before the entrance of the cave Akito was supposed to bait the dragon and lure him out. This was the ideal situation to start phase 1 of his plan. After he’d gone into the cave, he screamed for help.
Kazumi went timidly into the cave, behind him the others who had fear written in their faces.
They noticed the cave was empty. Except for an inscription on the wall. Written in blood, Akito completed his deception.
“Welcome to hell”;
Everyone was frightened. There was only one person whose handwriting looked like this.
Suddenly the ceiling collapsed behind them. They were trapped in the cave, completely exposed. After the dust had evaporated, they recognized a black outline.
“Did you miss me?
From the looks of things, your prayers have not been answered.
Too bad for you.
When they realized which person was approaching, they held their breath.
How can this person still be alive?
He should have been wiped out!
It was Akito who had taken his old form. His eyes were burning with hate, his pupils turned blood red. He had his right arm barely under control. The thirst for revenge was on the verge of overpowering him.
Kazumi was the first to oppose Akito,
“Hey, garbage face, I don’t know how you survived, but it doesn’t matter anymore.
We’re 10 against 1, pretty stupid of you to show up here.
I’ll personally send you back to the hole you crawled out of. Or better yet, we’ll throw you to the dragon for food.
Akito began to laugh.
All right, keep it up. Amuse me with your pride. But be rest assured I will burn that grin right off your face. Oh, and as for the dragon. He has no appetite for human flesh right now but for you 10 maggots he will make an exception.
Annoyed by his provocation, Kazumi stormed him. At the same moment Akito cast the spell.
“Say hello to my friend. ”
In front of Akito a huge shadow formed, which took on the shape of a huge dragon. Normally the servants adapted to the master’s level, but Grim had no level indicator even after the pact was decided.
Besides, he looked different this time. His eyes were like Akito’s blood-red. His skin was literally burning. The servant was fed on his master’s hatred.
The heroes were rigid with fear. They knew what to expect and took up a fighting position.
4 of them fought with the sword at the front, behind them were 3 healing magicians and 3 elemental magicians. The plan was to receive healing from behind if you were to take damage. The Elementalists were supposed to protect the Healers and support the melee fighters with long-range attacks.
Akito treated the situation like a chess game. In front there were 4 farmers who were employed by Grim without any problems. Behind them were the towers and jumpers. If anything goes wrong, they’ll intervene immediately.
Since there was no lady, Akito crowned himself and Grim kings.
“I’ve longed for this fighting spirit. Your faces are full of willpower and hope. Now I can finally show you what it means to suffer. Soon you will only feel despair, your death is inevitable. But don’t worry, your sacrifice isn’t in vain. After all, you died for the Holy Kingdom.
There was someone else who met his words directly.
It was top of the class Shizu. She was extremely ambitious, her self-confidence was actually pure arrogance. Her ego was bigger than the mountain they were on. She also didn’t like Akito, he was her competitor, almost always had the same grades and contested her position. Of course he didn’t do this on purpose, he just wanted to finish the class without any problems. She always mocked him because he couldn’t fight back. Normally she was just a sympathizer in the crowd. Shizu became a swordsman when she was summoned here. She possessed the legendary sword “Ziran” which was stored in the king’s treasure chamber. Ziran was a magical weapon that absorbed mana to become stronger. Since Shizu was a melee fighter, it was perfect for her.
“Watch out, your arrogance will be your misfortune. You are and will always be a loser. Just die and leave us alone.
These words played Akito directly into his cards. Now he could get rid of part of his hatred without bloodshed. He decided to toy with her a bit.
“Thank you so much for your touching words, Miss “Always Smart”. But there’s one thing I must correct you on. My arrogance is still miles behind yours. I always had the feeling your day was all about showing off and looking down.
You realize none of these talents will help you here. You can’t kill me, none of you can.
But let me suggest a game. ”
Akito made a show of this situation to enjoy his thirst for revenge longer. A quick death was out of the question. However, it would be very difficult to torture everyone at once. So he changed his plans and decided to play this game.
“You against me, one versus one. My dragon won’t attack since my orders are absolute. But if someone should disturb our game, it’s game over for you and I will slaughter every single one of you. So you can get rid of me and the others dont even have to move a finger. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Shizu immediately agreed. A weakling like Akito could never beat her.
“And because I’m so generous, I’ll give you three free attacks where I won’t attack back.”
Akito went into battle without a weapon. Kazumi and the others started to laugh. Shizu also made a confused face.
“Apparently, you really want to commit suicide.”
Akito started to laugh.
If I wanted to kill myself, I’d just have to climb up your ego and jump down to your naivety.
I just need one arm to send you to hell.
So go ahead, bitch!
Disgusted by him, she stormed towards Akito and made a high jump. Her sword loaded with mana and flew straight at Akito.
He activated Raptor and escaped the attack without a problem.
No one could follow his movements. Their self-confidence began to decline.
“What’s the matter? Is that it already?
That’s all the best girl in class can do? ”
For the second attack, she combined fire magic with the sword. With her sword swing she created a huge fireball, which rushed towards Akito.
Akito could only smile.
“Who’s the real weakling here?!”
Akito caught the fireball easily and let the flames in his hand go out.
Everybody had big eyes. How could he be so strong?
Kazumi tried to intervene, but Shizu stopped him. Her ambition could not accept that Akito was stronger than she was.
She used her special skill “sword cage”.
Ziran multiplied itself around 500 times.
Akito was surrounded by these hundreds of swords. The next moment, all the swords were racing towards him.
Akito stood there motionless, the swords pierced through him and a pool of blood arose before his body.
Shizu, who was sure of victory, was showing off when suddenly the body started moving again.
“Bamboozled!”
Instantly the body disappeared and Akito stepped out behind her. It was illusion magic. He created a copy of himself from a shadow and disappeared into another shadow.
This was the skill “Shadow Walk” which he gained after reaching level 30. It was high tier magic made especially for demons.
“You’re starting to bore me.
Now it’s my turn.”
Shizu was completely speechless.
“How can you escape my attacks so easily? What are you?”
Akito put on an evil smile.
“You’ll see soon.”
Quick as a flash, Akito formed his shadow arm into a 9mm pistol and fired two bullets into both of her legs.
She screamed in pain and began to cry. The bullets were modified with shadow poison. Both bullets got stuck in the leg. They began to dissolve and a shadow formed in their flesh and began to decompose it. Soon her legs were just bones, but Akito didn’t let her just die. He always healed her so that she wouldn’t forget the pain.
“This is where your performance ends.”
Finally, Akito put a bullet in her skull. The blood splashed on the wall. The shadow began to decompose her head. It ate her eyes and burned her face until only the bones were visible.
“And now to the main event.
Volunteers, please step forward. We’ve only just begun.”
