Retaliate Heroes Should Be Evil - Chapter 8 Satisfaction
Akito enjoyed her pain. It was like a horror movie, nobody could believe what had just happened.
Kazumi wanted to intervene, but when Akito pointed the gun at him, he stopped.
“Apparently, you’re trying to break the rules.”
Now they realized that he had become a revenge-driven monster from which they could not escape. They were trapped in his perfidious masterpiece.
While Shizura desperately tried to crawl away from him, Akito put his foot on her head.
“So much for that, sport queen, your performance is over.”
He pointed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger. The blood splashed almost to the ceiling of the cave. The bullet got stuck in her head. At the same moment a shadow appeared from within the bullet, which began to completely decompose her body. Soon only the bones were visible. He had modified the bullet with a poison that had a highly rapid corrosive effect. Satisfied with the result Akito took her skull and threw it to the others.
“Here. . . catch!
“This was only the beginning, now we come to the main event. ”
Although everyone was very scared, they were very angry and aggressive. It was not courage but rather their survival instinct that made them fight. Akito had to change his plan because everyone was attacking at once. He gave Grim the order to attack freely, however, he should steer his attacks with a sign of Akito in his direction. First on his list were the healing magicians. When there’s no healing, the pain is final. The front fighters were busy with the dragon. Akito ran behind the magicians at lightning speed. He gave both of them a strong punch in the stomach. He took a small jug of oil from his item box and tilted it over the magicians lying on the ground. Then he gave Grim the signal. He fired a giant fireball at him. Immediately the flames ignited and they were burning. Their cries were music in Akitos ears.
The skin burned in seconds. The others could only watch their comrades burn alive. Finally Akito transformed his arm into a giant scythe. His hate burned throughout his entire body.
“Now I will live up to my name. Death stands before you, expect no mercy.
“Man, that sounds cool, I’ve always wanted to say that.”
They assumed that Akito had to be a psyschopath, a vindictive sadist whose thirst for blood could only be satisfied by their suffering. Kazumi could only watch as grim attacked him most of all. After all, Kazumi was the strongest of them. But he quickly realized that they couldn’t harm the dragon. The only way was to kill the master and break the pact.
The elementalists freed themselves from their fear and attacked. Four of them fired a massive water tornado to kill Akito. He diverted their magic with ease and fired the tornado back. The magicians created a barrier that could not block the whole tornado. Caught by the water, they flew backwards to the wall. Suddenly Akito gave the sign.
Grim’s eyes began to glow and his gaze turned them to ice. Akito made a high leap upwards and cut the huge block of ice into a thousand pieces. The bodies burst like fireworks. The single parts turned red. Akito had reached his first goal. Their faces showed pure fear and hopelessness. They froze at the thought that none of them would get out of here alive. Normally they would fight against monsters that they could easily kill. There was also the certainty that any injuries would be healed after the fight. That was all over now. An escape was impossible and rescue would not come either. They had played Akito perfectly into the cards. He used their attacks against them and let grim take care of the rest. Master and servant were in perfect harmony, their hatred becoming one soul.
Now Akito stood there, his eyes on the victims. It was his show of revenge and destruction.
He was the endboss. Nobody could win against him. The only thing they could do now was pray for a quick death. The front fighters were surrounded without any back cover. His last target was Kazumi, who desperately tried to compete against the two. Beside him there were two other fighters who were already injured. He tried to persuade them, but they had already lost all hope.
Finally akito casted a paralysis spell on them. At the same moment Grim ate them both up. You could hear their bones cracking all the way to the cave exit. Blood dripped out of his mouth, he swallowed them both in one go. Now kazumi was on its own. Akito began to laugh and walked towards kazumi. Grim ordered him to stop his attacks. Kazumi stormed towards him with his sword. Akito dodged and gave him a strong punch with his knee in the pit of the stomach. Kazumi spat blood and fell to the ground.
Akito knelt down next to him, grabbed his hair and shoved his head up.
“How does it feel to know you’re completely at my mercy. Where are your insults now?!”
“Oh, I forgot you’re just a little bitch without Shota. ”
Kazumi did not beg to live, but spat Akito in the face.
“If you want to kill me, get it over with. But be sure that Shota will avenge me. ”
Akito began to laugh and wiped the spit off his face.
“Good thing you’re talking about him. I’m giving you a chance to crawl back up his ass. I thought of something special for you right from the start. You’ll play messenger for me.”
Akito applied a paralysis spell and turned him on his stomach. Then he used fire magic and started writing on his back. Kazumi cried out in pain, akito wrote extra slowly. He enjoyed the agony he suffered.
“So…. it’s done! That should do it. Although I’ve never been good at art, I’ve been really good at this artwork.”
There was one sentence burned into his back.
[ Akito was here! 😉 ]
Besides, he painted a smiley to make it look prettier.
“But since I dont want to forget you so quickly, I will take a souvenir from you. He took the scythe and detached him from the arm where he normally held his sword. Blood splashed out of his shoulder like a fountain. Since Akito didn’t want him to bleed to death, he used healing magic to heal the wound. He threw his arm to Grim. Shortly after he disappeared again in Akitos shadow.
“I hope you make it to your beloved friends. Let them know that I will annihilate them.”
“The spell will fade in an hour, so it’d be better if you’d get out of here.”
Shortly afterwards Akito left the cave. He knew Kazumi wasn’t stupid enough to attack him. In front of the entrance, he laid bait to attract other monsters. Then he laid Kazumis sword next to the bait. It was just a game to him. Either Kazumi would complete this level or it would be game over for him.
After he had left the mountains, Akito rested for a day. The fight had exhausted his mana stock.
When the night came, akito heard screams from afar. Actually, he didn’t care about them, but he was curious what had happened. He saw a large insect monster attack a small group of travelers. He decided to help the people and killed the monster with one blow from his shadow scythe. People couldn’t believe what they had just seen. They were very grateful to their rescuer and invited him to dine with them. Akito accepted gratefully and sat down with them. He realized that it was only simple people who were passing through. From them he was able to learn more about the situation in which the country finds itself. The capital eagerly awaited the return of the heroes. Akito knew, however, that the king had already reckoned with her death and faked his hope of them returning for the other heroes and the people’s sake. In addition, the attacks of monsters increased and many people, especially in the villages, fell victim to them. The group was on their way to Terras, a small town on the southern border of the country. There’s supposed to be an alchemist there who can help Akito with his water. He decided to join the group. It consisted of a large family of 3 women, 3 men and 2 children. They had a cart with them in which they transported some goods. That’s at least how they had explained it to Akito. On the way there were hardly any problems, just a few monsters that Akito easily killed. After 2 days they had arrived at their destination. The city consisted of many small houses as well as individual large halls. Soldiers were stationed at the city gate to keep the monsters in check. The leader of the group showed them a seal and they could enter the city. They wanted to compensate Akito and asked him to accompany them a little longer. They stopped in front of a big hall. An old man came out and asked them to unload the cart.
When they removed the cover Akito could not believe what he saw. They were small cages containing demi humans. They were branded and scarred everywhere, their eyes giving a dead look. Akito was speechless when he noticed how naturally the traders talked and negotiated the price. Actually, it wasn’t supposed to be a surprise anymore, this country was completely rotten. Nevertheless Akito was very angry, he had still kept a little of his common sense. A girl with a whip went to a cage and began to hit another little girl. Akito’s eyes burned with hatred. How degenerate and cruel could the people here be? He wanted to kill them all on the spot, but he held back. To make a scene here would be too dangerous, if the soldiers would show up, he would be in big trouble. His mana was still unfilled. He decided to accompany them into the hall. Inside were tons of cages where half-dead demi humans were hold. He saw the hopelessness in their eyes, they just wanted to die. When they carried the last cage into the hall, Akito made big eyes. In the cage was a pretty girl with wolf ears and yellow eyes. In her eyes he saw the same hatred he had inside him. The merchant noticed that Akito was interested in her and offered him to buy her at a good price. To compensate Akito, the family paid the slave trader the money for her. Afterwards they said goodbye to Akito and went to the city to their home. The girl looked at Akito with eyes filled with hate. When the slave trader was about to open the cage, Akito took on part of his demon shape and winked at her with his yellow eyes. He then took his shadow scythe and held it to the trader’s neck.
“What is the meaning of this? How dare you! ”
“One false move and your head is off. You will now do exactly as I say. ” (Akito)
Akito started tying up the dealer and threw him into an empty cage himself. Then Akito turned into his complete demon shape. His mana was no longer sufficient to maintain the masquerade. The captured people ware astonished by his shape, only the girl was skeptical and remained calm. Akito went to her cage, shattered the lock with his scythe and opened the door. The girl took a sharp stone and put it Akito on his neck. Akito knew she had something hidden. He looked her straight in the eye. She scared back when she saw the flames in his eyes. His hatred was far greater than hers. Yet she realized that his hatred was not directed at her people. She pulled her arm back and waited for Akito’s reaction. He took a finger and lifted her face up. Now they were at eye level. Then Akito began to smile and led them out of the cage. He took a dagger out of his itembox and threw it to her.
“Free your comrades or kill him, your decision.”
She didn’t hesitate a moment, went to the dealer to open the cage and slowly cut his neck open. The blood splashed right into her face. He began to groan, after some seconds he had made his last breath. Suddenly all the prisoners started cheering. Akito couldn’t believe it. Those who were actually half-dead still had a lot of life left in them. He was thrilled and started to laugh.
“Man, it doesn’t get better than that!”
The atmosphere was filled with retaliation, for him it was pure perfection. He started opening the cages. The prisoners stepped out and helped their comrades out of the other cages. Akito didn’t need to be afraid of being attacked himself. He knew they were afraid of him even though he helped them. They gathered in a group and kneeled as thanks for their rescue from akito.
He ordered them to get up.
“You don’t have to thank me, because I’m supposed to thank you. You’ve shown me that I’m definitely on the right path.
Now you have to determine your own destiny!
You’re on the southern border of this country.
I would advise you to leave town and cross the border.
There you will no longer be pursued and can set up a camp. Then you can recover and free more of your comrades.
I’m offering to help you cross the border. After that, you’ll be on your own. ”
But before you can leave this city, you need weapons and supplies. These are located in the other halls along with other people of your kind. I need another person for my rescue plan.
Most of them were injured and had their families next to them. When a tall man with a bear-like appearance got up, the girl came and asked him to sit down again. Then she went to Akito and asked him to take her with him. He had expected exactly that and took her along satisfied for his plan.
When it got dark, both sneaked out of the hall and into the other halls. These were only guarded by a few soldiers, who they easily killed off. Akito was amazed when he saw how well she could fight. She was the perfect partner for this plan. After they had cleaned the other two halls and explained the situation, they sneaked back with the freed demi humans as well as the supplies and weapons to the others. He saw that many families were now reunited and felt a spark of joy and hope.
“Apparently, there are still good things in this world.”
Then he went on top of the hall and looked into the night sky.
He was fascinated by the demi humans, who still had a fighting spirit in spite of their long imprisonment.
After some time he noticed that another person was entering the roof. It was the girl he had freed. She was about his age, Akito felt attracted to her by her beauty but especially by her hate-filled eyes.
“We are greatly indebted to our savior. Rest assured that our people will return this favor soon.”
Akito didn’t like that kind of talk. He was stronger than all of them, but he did not want to be seen as a kind of king or higher human being.
“Please stop this kind of talk, we’re in the same boat, so we’re comrades. Speak to me as to everyone else.”
She started smiling and nodded.
“My name is Chiara. How should I address you?”
Suddenly, he was nervous. He barely talked to girls back in his world. And she was a real beauty despite her bruises and scars.
I’m Akito. N-Nice to meet you.”
“All right, Akito.”
She started giggling.
He started to smile.
“Is the name that funny?”
“No, it’s just that your name sounds very strange. I’ve never heard such a name before. Where are you from?” (Chiara)
“Let’s just say I’m not of this world. You’ve certainly heard of the heroes of the other world.” (Akito)
“The heroes who will bring glory and honor to this land. They’re here to help the kingdom rise. Are you one of those heroes? Why did you help us? The demi humans are hated by the people of this country. ” (Chiara)
“It is indeed true that I am one of those people from another world. However, I am not a hero who will help for the Ascension. ” (Akito)
“Then what are you?” (Chiara)
Akito looked into her eyes.
Suddenly she could smell blood. She froze when she felt his blood lust. But at the same time she was fascinated by him. To her, he was a walking mystery.
He smiled at her when he realized she wasn’t really afraid of him.
“I am their downfall ! “
