Reverse X Trap - Chapter 8

Asuka and Riku were preparing to go home and they came over to ask Takuji to go home together, unfortunately he and Jun already left earlier. One of his classmates said that both of them had an errand from the teacher to bring assignments to the teacher’s lounge.

“Should we wait Asuka?” Riku asked. Asuka shook his head.

“Mm, if possible, I want to go home with you today Riku. Just the two of us.” Riku was surprised to hear that. It’s been a while since the four of them hung out together, and slowly Riku was starting to accept Jun’s addition to the group. She would’ve expected Asuka to wait or came over to the teacher’s lounge instead.

“Are you sure? If so, I’ll tell them we’re going ahead.”

Asuka nodded and Riku texted Takuji about it. Both of them left the school while being greeted by their respective fans. Unlike Riku who was a member of the soccer club, Asuka wasn’t a member of any clubs. He was interested in some of the clubs, but eventually chose not to.

“It’s been a while since I can go home early. Fuuh. Club activity was so tiring.” Riku complained as she lightly punched her back. Asuka giggled.

“Good work Riku. And congratulations on the win last Sunday. I’m sorry I couldn’t come to see you.”

“It’s cool Asuka. I wasn’t playing well although we won. I don’t wanna show you my embarrassing side, hahaha.”

Riku rubbed the back of her head. But Asuka didn’t share the same thought.

“Riku was never embarrassing, you are the coolest person I know.” He said with a sparkle lit up from his eyes. Riku laughed.

“Cool huh?” Her expression turned sour for a bit.

“Riku, what’s wrong?” Afraid that he made a mistake in his speech, Riku waved it off like it was nothing. As they walked further in silence, they went past a park. Asuka thought of something and dragged her.

“Wha? Asuka?”

“Come on Riku!”

They went around the park to tried a lot things. It was unfitting for them to play in the children’s playground, though the two of showed no care about it. Riku who wasn’t on it at first, slowly enjoyed it so she wouldn’t make Asuka sad. Then to finished it, they played swing.

“Look Riku! I’m flying!” He swung back and forth happily. The scene made Riku slowly forgetting the reason why she become upset in the first place. Asuka stopped eventually, while catching his breath after laughing so much.

“Feeling better now?”

“Better. Thanks Asuka.”

“Don’t mention it.”

The two went silent again, enjoying the view of the coming dusk.

“Sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt your feelings.” Riku was surprised by the sudden apology.

“You must have been told about your coolness for a long time and you’re tired of it.”

“Well yeah. But I’m okay now, it’s been a long time since we played together, just the two of us.” Riku just realized something after saying that. She was busy with her club recently, and hadn’t spend much time with him.

“It’s fine Riku. I should’ve known that we wouldn’t see each other much after school. But I’m happy that I have new friends, you know?”

“You mean, Taku and Hoshizora?” Asuka nodded.

“I never had a male friend, let alone a female except you. They are so kind and cool. I only hope that, we can stay friends forever.”

“Asuka…” Riku lost words to reply back. She remembered what happened to Asuka in the past that caused him, and later herself to crossdress.

“Now should we go home?” Asuka offered his hand to pick Riku up. She did, and they left a place where many memories were made between the two of them. But Riku herself questioned herself about Asuka’s wish.

Will this go on forever? The crossdressing? The lifes of princess and prince?

As they went home and parted ways, both of them received a message from Takuji. Both of their expression brightened seeing that. They replied the message with a yes. Takuji from the other side smiled.

“Takuji! How many more should be bring to the lab?”

“Aah, wait!” Takuji went back helping Jun, who now also helping the science teacher brought in some new equipments. Though deep inside, he couldn’t wait for the weekend.
