Revolution System - Chapter 41
Entering the large dining hall, Jim took a seat after the King did so. ‘Brave, huh? I can’t call what I did bravery. I did fight their enemies, but I wasn’t in danger the entire time, a dozen of those behemoths wouldn’t scratch me if I stood still. Compared to myself, any one of those ordinary soldiers that faced down thousands of beasts would be far more deserving of that title.’
Before the food arrived, a young lady walked in. ‘Holy Sh*t! Those Ti*s are massive!’ Working Poker Face to the max, he tried to appear calm and collected while internally startled at the sight.
The lady had bubblegum pink hair flowing all the way down her back, an innocent and pretty face, and a voluptuous figure that would put Astril to shame. The most eyecatching sight was her enormous breasts, Jim felt they were each easily bigger than his head.
‘How does she stay upright? What kind of food do you have to eat to get like that? No, how are they staying up like that? Shouldn’t they be sagging down to her waist? Is she still in the realm of humanity?’
Not showing outward signs of this intense mental argument, he looked her in the face calmly. “Hello, I’m Jim Garrett.”
Lady: “Oh! You’re the new Brave!?”
The lady came forward and grabbed his hands, then started a barrage of questions. “Is it true you can tear a mountain apart with your bare hands? Do you really command a pack of wolves? Did you really fly through the sky and walk on clouds?”
‘What the hell is she talking about? When did I do any of that?’ The lady’s gaze was intense, he wasn’t sure what to say while being asked these ridiculous questions.
King: “Ahem!”
Lady: “Ah!” She released his hands and backed off. During a well-practiced curtsy, she introduced herself. “Greetings, I am Celes Amgula, 17th Princess of the Amgula Kingdom.”
’17th? The King really gets around, huh? Actually, he looks like he’s in his 80s while Celes looks like she’s around 20, just how much of a horndog is he?’ Oblivious to the rude remarks going through Jim’s head, the King spoke up.
King: “My other children are off performing various duties and will not be joining us for this meal, I hope the two of us will suffice.”
Jim: “Ah, yes, it’s fine.”
Celes took a chair right next to Jim, she stared at him for the entire meal, hardly touching her own. It was rather uncomfortable, a newfound respect for the mental fortitude of celebrities blossomed inside. With the meal finished, Celes immediately started talking like a dam had burst.
Celes: “How many monsters have you slain? Do you use a Sword? A Spear? Magic?”
Jim: “I’ve lost count. I’m somewhat good at each.”
Celes: “Father!” Her shout was enough to startle the normally composed King.
King: “Yes, my daughter?”
Celes: “I would like to request for Sir Garrett to become my combat tutor! Do I have your permission?”
King: “Mm…very well, if the person in question decides to do so.”
Turning her head back to Jim, her eyes seemed to be staring daggers into his soul. She didn’t say anything while waiting for his answer. ‘Ugh…hmm, her stats are ridiculously low, level 0. Forget combat training, it looks like she hasn’t trained her body for a day in her life. Well, not like I have anything going on.’
Jim: “Alright, but I need to warn you first. I won’t go easy on you, it’ll be harsh and painful.”
Celes: “Really!? Yes!” ‘Did this girl even understand what I just said? Her excitement reminds me of a puppy. Well, at least she’s spirited.’
Celes was laying on her back, panting hard, sweat running down her body. “Did I do well?” ‘Ugh, this girl is too erotic. No no no, she’s half my age, she’s a princess. Keep it in your pants, Jim!’ Two days had passed, Jim had been researching Pill Refining further in order to partially replicate Improved Rest’s functions for others.
The human body doesn’t get stronger from taking a beating, Athletes train hard to improve their bodies, but the hard work causes injuries to pile up and they never really go away. It isn’t rare for an Athlete in his 30s or 40s to suffer from torn tendons or ligaments and never fully recover.
Improved Rest allows Jim to completely recover from these debilitating injuries, it could be thought of as one of his best assets. But putting someone like Celes through Jim’s hellish training routine will just end up with a crippled girl.
Thus, he created the Injury Recovery Pill. It took several mystical ingredient purchases from the system shop and a lot of trial and error, but he had done it. This new pill not only healed those latent injuries that people gather over time, but it strengthens the parts healed. It reminded Jim of the Saiyans from DBZ, those monkey-like aliens would significantly increase their combat power after each time they got the crap beaten out of them.
Since he agreed to teach Celes, he was going to do it right. They started with unarmed moves, it felt like blasphemy to not use medieval weaponry while in a fantasy world like this, but Celes was a princess, she couldn’t carry around a huge spear on her back or have swords on her waist all day long. Thus, he taught her what he could from the Flowing Cloud basic technique manuals, he had attempted to impart cultivation techniques to her, but Celes didn’t have spirit roots.
She could still learn the body movements however. Jim imparted the Body Movement, Unarmed Combat, Punch, and Kick skills to Celes, along with various resistance skills. Her improvement rate was amazing, Jim felt a bit jealous as his high learning rate came almost entirely from the system. But together with some Divine Jing Qi Pills, Celes soaked in the knowledge like a sponge. She had almost mastered the movements he had to teach already, the main problem was her incredibly unfit body.
Jim was reminded of the time when he first got the system, it was only a few months ago but it felt like a dozen years has passed by now. He was incredibly weak when he first started training, just like Celes is now, the best thing to do for that is pushing yourself to the limit repeatedly.
Feeling that her unarmed combat skills had come along rather well, Jim began teaching her basic weapon handling, of course he didn’t forget to impart the relevant skills. Celes ended up collapsed in a pool of sweat once again. ‘Her determination is really good, why had she not trained before?’
The next day, an excited Celes came running up to him. “Teacher, Teacher! I did it, watch!” Two and a half minutes passed before a tiny flame appeared before her. “Oooh, good job, Celes!” Jim patted her head in praise. “Ehehe.” Celes lowered her head and blushed while accepting the priase. ‘She’s really like a dog, huh?’
