Revolution System - Chapter 47
Soon after, Jane came downstairs. “Oh, is your guest gone already? Hm, what do you have there?” Looking over, Jane spotted the money on the table. Her eyes opened wide. “Why is there so much money here!?”
Jim wasn’t in a position to calm his mother down, he was in disbelief himself. A while later, Jane understood that he had sold some of the pills he had given her before. She let the matter be. “Just don’t do anything illegal, okay?”
Nodding, Jim started wondering what to do now. His money troubles were gone, there was no immediate danger. Checking the marker he left at Gaius’ castle, he was able to check what was going on over there. Things seemed quiet, Celes was in the training ground practicing the movements he taught her. Gaius looked bored while doing paperwork.
Inhaling, Jim made up his mind. “Alright, let’s do this!” He used Illusion Barrier and chose the City option. Back in the ruined streets, Jim activated Detection. Checking around, he found thousands of rank 1 zombies, a few hundred rank 2 ones, and 12 Heart Demons, all of the heart demons were slowly wandering around at different places quite some distance away.
Jim activated Great Dark Fist and punched the wall of a nearby building, he wanted to test something. A loud explosion rang out as the house crumbled down. Sure enough, detection showed that the Heart Demons started heading towards his direction. Or rather, they were drawn by the sound.
Jim had started developing a fear towards these things, they would show up suddenly while he was in a place that he had created. They were too strong, he was heavily injured both times he ran into them. But they were beatable, not that his death and magic resistances were maxed out, he was going to give it another try. He needed to overcome these things if he was going to keep moving forward.
The first one arrived, Jim dodged its charge. It charged again and again. ‘Why isn’t this one firing those beams?’ He started firing Light Arrows at it, just a few hits and the thing evaporated. ‘Huh? they weren’t so easy to handle before.’ Jim suddenly felt good, like he had finally removed a splinter that had been bothering him for a long time.
Two more soon arrived. One charged while the other stayed back, firing beams at him. Dodging the charge, he allowed some of the beams to hit him. They didn’t hurt at all, his skin wasn’t damaged either. “Hahaha, alright. This is good, I’m taking all of you down!”
Rushing at the one that had charged at him, Jim tried punching it. The hair on his arm evaporated, but the fog didn’t damage his skin. Unfortunately the heart demon also didn’t take any damage. ‘Does it have to be qi or magic?’ Jim began circulating Great Dark Fist on his right side and Great Light Fist on his left.
Slamming into the demon, he used minor teleport to appear before the other one. A quick jab took care of it too. Surging Thunder Steps was activated, he wasn’t going to wait for them to come to him.

‘Mm? No new skill from those two?’ Jim felt wonderful, he was standing tall while flames and icicles rained down on the ruined city. Hunting down zombies one by one was too slow, after destroying all the heart demons he just cast wide area magic to destroy everything.
“Hmm, collecting all these magic stones will take a long time…let’s try something.” Reaching out with detection, he tried to remotely collect the stones. ‘It failed?’ Sighing to himself, he wondered if he should just leave the stones where they were. He still hadn’t found a use for them yet after all. Thinking it over, he would be kicking himself if they turned out to be extremely useful later, so he began collecting them.
‘I need to find a quicker way…that’s it!’ Jim took out the remaining stored wood from his time in Bahn Tai. He began carving it into humanoid shapes, then brought them to life with Puppeteer. With a thought, the hundreds of tiny wooden people scattered to go collect the stones.
‘Having a workforce is nice, should I make larger ones for bigger jobs?’ Unfortunately, he was out of wood. ‘Hm? Wouldn’t that work?’ Jim went to the system shop and bought Create Stone for 500 points. He felt soil wouldn’t hold up very long, but stone should. Casting the new spell repeatedly, a large amount of rock formed in front of him.
Jim began carving individual parts. ‘Let’s make them modular, if a part gets damaged I can just replace it instead of making a new puppet.’ Even with Jim’s high strength and incredibly quick hands, it took several hours to complete the work. The tiny wooden men had long brought back all the magic stones and were just waiting off to the side.
‘Alright, done. Now I just put them together.’ Inserting Arms, Legs, and Heads into the Torso sockets, he used Puppeteer again. A few moments later, a hundred large stone men stood before him, waiting for orders. He imparted every skill he could to them, unfortunately they still couldn’t learn magic or cultivation techniques. Jim sighed to himself. ‘An army of cultivators would be nice.’
After storing his new subordinates, Jim left the barrier. He headed to the kitchen to begin making something. ‘Lets see…how about Spaghetti today?.’ After the meal, Libta looked goofy with sauce all over her face. Jim sat his mother down and started explaining how he could use magic now.
“Son, I think we need to schedule another doctor’s appointment.” He quickly cast Create Fire to show it wasn’t a joke. It took Jane a while to accept it, this was completely outside of what she considered possible after all.
Jim had a purpose for explaining things to his mother, he wanted to give her a few of the stone men to help out around the place during the times he was away. He also wanted to give her a plethora of skills, it would be too strange if she woke up one day to find herself tougher, stronger, and smarter.
He placed a Tangle Barrier on the area set to capture any hostile presences. Jim also placed a magic marker on the condo just in case something happened when he was away. With home security taken care of, he headed to bed.
