Revolution System - Chapter 52
Xia desperately defended with her own sword. She was certain her painstakingly practiced technique wouldn’t lose to other warriors, but the difference between cultivation realms was too much. Chuan was just too quick, too strong.
Her sword started to chip, she was pushed back. Blood was streaming from numerous cuts, her left eye had been destroyed. ‘This bastard is playing with me.’ Chuan’s blade could have ended her already. Her arms began to feel numb and moved slower, Chuan seemed tired of playing, he went for the fatal blow. She couldn’t defend in time. ‘So this is it, huh…Damnit, I’m sorry kid.’
Suddenly, a pair of fingers appeared from the side and effortlessly caught the blade. Looking over, Xia’s remaining eye found a mutant man. Hornless just like her, his skin was white like a fox, but his hair was golden. Seeing him standing there calm and collected, something reacted inside her.
Jim: “You’ve got spirit, huh. I’ll take over from here.”
*Thump, Thump, Thump* Xia’s heart was pounding, blood rushed to her face. Her mind went numb. ‘What is this?’ She could only let out a nod to agree.
Jim thought this girl had something up her sleeve since she valiantly confronted someone two realms above herself. But he found her suppressed during the entire fight. As she got more and more injured, he started having doubts, eventually he decided to jump in when she was about to die.
Chuan: “What are you?”
Jim: “Another cannibal, huh?”
Jim wasn’t in the mood to chat with this guy, he circulated Great Light Fist and punched out. Chuan didn’t have a chance to react before he was reduced to a red mist. ‘Mm?’ Jim noticed the wide blade Chuan had been swinging around looked completely undamaged by his attack. ‘Appraisal’
[Frigid Ore Saber – Quality: Great]

[Durability – 2,512/20,000]
‘Whoa, this thing is really tough.’ Jim collected the saber before checking out the two. The young fox boy was mostly uninjured, his ankles had been cut and he wasn’t able to stand, but the bleeding was light. On the other hand, the pink-skinned girl was bleeding profusely, her left eye was destroyed.
He was about to cast minor heal on the both of them when something happened. Something surfaced in his mind, a technique which resembled Reiki, but far more advanced. Several strands of golden Qi emitted from Jim’s hand, they quickly reached Xia’s wounds and started a complex precedure, mystical patterns shimmered in and out of existence.
Xia’s flesh began regrowing at an incredibly fast pace. All of the cuts and bruises were gone in an instant, the eye was completely repaired within seconds. She was stunned to find her long-standing scars also vanished, leaving smooth baby-like skin in its place.
Jim headed over to the boy and healed his wounds too.
Jim: “Hi, I’m Jim.”
Xia: “Xia.” Her head lowered as she blushed, stealing glances towards him occasionally.
The boy was still trembling without saying anything. Thinking it over for a second, Jim decided that any explanations he made would be empty words to the boy.
Jim: “I’m thinking of taking this boy to a safe place, what are you going to do?”
Xia: “…I’d like to come along. I don’t mean to doubt you, but I can’t rest easy until I see him settled in someplace.”
Jim: “Alright.”
Jim collected both of them into Companion Storage. Xia found herself in a pure white space, a sense of comfort washed over her, like she was wrapped in a soft warm blanket.
Xia: “Where…is this?”
Jim: “A place I made, you’re safe there. It’ll make moving around easier.”
The resounding voice appearing from no discernable source startled her. immediately after he stopped talking, she could see through his eyes, hear through his ears. The surroundings suddenly changed. ‘Indoors? What?’ Suddenly she was outside of the space, in the building she saw through his eyes, the fox boy was next to her.
Jim: “Libta!”
A second later and footsteps resounded from upstairs. Libta came down and looked around, she was startled for a moment before approaching an sniffing him, seemingly satisfied, she hugged Jim. Xia breathed a sigh of relief seeing after confirming there really was another silver fox here.
Jim: “Can you play with this boy for a while?”
Libta nodded and took the boy’s hand, she brought him over to the couch and started showing him the tv. Astrill came downstairs at that moment.
Astrill: “Who…?”
Jim: “It’s me, Jim.”
It took a while before she was able to recognize him, Xia was confused watching this going on. ‘How does she not recognize him?’ Jim had Astrill come over to the couch so he could try something. He activated the new healing technique and directed it at the stump of her leg.
Astrill: “Ugh…”
The stump suddenly opened. Before much blood could come out, new flesh and bone began forming, growing outward. Within 10 seconds, Astrill’s leg had fully formed. She tried standing, stumbling at first, she was able to slowly walk on it after a few minutes.
Astrill: “Thank you…I’m sorry for the way I’ve been treating you.”
Jim: “Don’t worry about it.”
Jim told Xia to make herself at home, then went upstairs to see his mother.
Jim: “Hey mom.”
Jane: “Son, you’re ba-What?”
As she turned around, a young man’s face was before her. It took a moment before she was able to find the familiar looks of her son in there.
Jane: “How…? Is it that magic you showed me before?”
Jim: “Yeah, something like that. It just sort of happened.”
Jane: “Just sort of happened? Do you know how many people would like to suddenly look half their age?”
Jim: “Hahaha…”
Jim started wondering if he should make a beauty pill and sell that too. ‘Hmm, I’ll consult Bill on it first, he’s got better business sense.’
Heading downstairs, Jane followed him down. Astrill was still steadying her legs while walking around. Xia was curiously inspecting the stationary stone men standing next to the wall, the boy seemed to have opened up a little to Libta. ‘This place is getting stuffed, should I look for a bigger home?’
