Revolution System - Chapter 67
The lich immediately lifted its left hand. A pale green light emitted from the skeletal hand, spreading across the entire area. The nearby monsters instantly withered away into a pile of bones.
Jim: “Everyone, stay back!”
A few unlucky hunters had already left the gate to help, falling over dead when they touched the pale light. Jim had already granted all his resistances to Celes and was certain she would be safe, he wasn’t sure if Suzuki could survive the death magic as a summoned hero.
The nearby corpses began to stir, skeletal minions rose up. Luckily, most of the corpses had been destroyed beyond recognition by the traps and couldn’t be made into undead.
Jim brought a mace out of his inventory. ‘Blunt weapons are best against skeletal creatures, right?’ Swinging it towards the lich’s left arm, he was surprised to find the lich blocked the attack with its staff. ‘So this guy has reflexes unlike the one from before.’
The staff stabbed toward Jim’s chest, he jumped backwards to dodge. Just as his feet landed, a bolt of ice shot from the staff tip. Using body movement, Jim quickly turned to evade.
Swinging down toward the lich, the attack was blocked again. Jim used the recoil to arc the mace around onto the lich’s side. *Crack* ‘Oh? so purely physical attacks work well.’ Seeing that his mace had slipped through the lich’s barrier easily, he smirked continued battering the creature.
The lich’s magic barrier began faltering as Jim’s mace repeatedly slipped through. The lich seemed frantic as it repeatedly fired spells towards him. Suzuki arrived and began swinging his sword. ‘So the death aura doesn’t do anything to him after all.’
Taking advantage of the opening the lich made when blocking Suzuki’s attacks, Jim slammed into it with greater force. Celes arrived and began firing magic spells as support. The battle seemed unfair by this point, the lich was suppressed by the constant stream of attacks from all directions.
A fierce surge of mana began gathering at their location. ‘Another large spell?’ Jim circulated lower light fist on his left hand and slammed it into the lich’s chest. The lich’s magic barrier shattered, it was now exposed, but unfortunately the expected spell failure didn’t occur. ‘Shit, this is bad. With that much mana the spell will kill us instantly. The puppets won’t make it in time.’
Seeing the lich was almost finished invoking the spell, Jim took a gamble. Attempting a skill he had thought up before reincarnating, he combined the circulation routes of lower light fist and lower dark fist.
Jim: “Get back!”
Suzuki and Celes quickly retreated, Jim’s meridians felt like they were on fire. A flickering light began forming around his hands, he punched towards the lich and a massive surge of energy erupted forth. Jim’s meridians exploded, the skin and muscle on his arms burst open. An invisible wave crashed into the lich, it began quickly disintegrating. The wave continued onwards, tearing apart the land for miles until it went out of sight.
‘Haha, it worked…Didn’t think it’d hurt this much though.’ Jim’s consciousness got hazy, the puppets were mopping up the remaining undead without much issue. The death aura began fading, Jim heard constant notifications going off, but he was too drowsy and in too much pain to pay attention, he fainted on the spot.
Celes: “Master, are you alright!?”
Running over, she quickly grabbed him in a panic. Suzuki came over and checked Jim’s condition.
Suzuki: “He’s still alive, we should bring him inside and treat his wounds.”

Soon after Jim’s body had been brought into the city, a massive golden crystal towering over the city walls suddenly appeared without warning. Jim was quickly sucked into it, much to the shock of everyone present.
Celes: “Master!”
