Rich President, Don’t Marry Me - Chapter 9
Fu Jinchen could even feel her eyelashes moving up and down, seemingly sliding across his face. It made his heart itch.
Fu Jinchen had always hated women getting close to him, but he didn’t even want to push away Chu Liang’s sudden initiative!
Fu Jinchen was also shocked by his own thoughts. He immediately pushed Chu Liang away, hiding his embarrassment and coughing a few times.
“Do you know what you’re doing?”
No reply.
Fu Jinchen tilted his head to take a look and discovered that Chu Liang had already fallen asleep on the bed.
“Heh.” Fu Jinchen suddenly didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. “So without any explanation, you fell asleep just like that?”
The sleeping Chu Liang naturally did not answer him.
Fu Jinchen shook his head helplessly. He pulled away the blanket and got off the bed. He then carried Chu Liang onto the bed and covered him with the blanket. He muttered:
“I don’t know if you’re a patient or I’m a patient.”
The night passed peacefully. The next morning, Chu Liang’s biological clock woke her up on time.
When he opened his eyes, he saw a white ceiling. Chu Liang stared blankly for a few seconds before abruptly sitting up.
He then found himself lying on the sickbed, while Fu Jinchen was nowhere to be found.
“Boss Fu?” “Director Fu!” Chu Liang got up and called out to Fu Jinchen anxiously.
A grumbling voice came from the corner of the room: “Huh?”
Chu Liang was stunned for a moment. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw Fu Jinchen curled up on the sofa, sleeping soundly.
“Why are you here?” Chu Liang walked over and squatted down beside the sofa.
Fu Jinchen turned around and looked at Chu Liang. He rubbed his eyes and said, “Wasn’t it because you …”
When he thought about what happened last night, Fu Jinchen immediately sobered up. His gaze landed on Chu Liang’s lips.
“Last night?” Chu Liang was stunned. She thought back to the process, and her last memory was drinking red wine.
Ah!” Chu Liang smacked his head and looked at Fu Jinchen carefully, “I’m sorry, Director Fu. I didn’t mean to hide this from you.
“What?” Fu Jinchen narrowed his eyes and stared at Chu Liang as he waited for her explanation.
Chu Liang felt a bit guilty and quietly explained, “As a bodyguard, I only have one weakness, only one.”
Fu Jinchen looked meaningfully at Chu Liang and nodded his head, “I seem to know what it is.”
“Huh?” Chu Liang was stunned for a moment. He looked at Fu Jinchen in surprise. “Do you know that I can’t drink wine?”
Fu Jinchen suddenly bent down and looked Chu Liang straight in the eye. With a slight smile, he said, “I also know that you will do something out of line after drinking the wine.”
Chu Liang’s eyes showed a rare look of panic and he couldn’t help but turn his head to look elsewhere.
He couldn’t have found out that he was that night’s woman, right?
The phone suddenly rang, interrupting the ambiguous atmosphere between the two.
Chu Liang took out his phone and looked at it, then frowned.
Fu Jinchen’s expression changed slightly as he looked at the screen. The smile from earlier had disappeared and his voice was neither cold nor hot.
“Since you’re calling, how can you not pick up the phone?”
Chu Liang looked at Fu Jinchen and felt slightly sorry for him. However, her phone was ringing like a Fate Talisman. She had no choice but to walk towards the window with her phone in hand.
“Hello, how are you? I’m Chu Liang.”
“Why did it take so long to answer the phone?” The man’s voice on the phone sounded slightly unhappy.
Chu Liang tilted his head and glanced at Fu Jinchen. When he realized that Fu Jinchen wasn’t looking at him, an ominous premonition arose in his heart.
“I’m with Director Fu.” Chu Liang lightly said, on the other end of the phone, he was silent for a moment, “Got it.”
The call ended.
Chu Liang nervously kept his phone and walked to Fu Jinchen’s side, not knowing how to explain himself.
“I actually forgot that you’re Second Uncle’s man.” Fu Jinchen sneered and glanced at Chu Liang, “However.”
Chu Liang raised his head and stared at Fu Jinchen, waiting for his next words.
Suddenly, Fu Jinchen lifted Chu Liang’s chin with his fingers and stared into her eyes, warning, “If you dare to reveal the fact that my legs are healthy, I’ll personally take care of you.”
Chu Liang slightly lowered his gaze and consciously replied, “Yes, this subordinate understands.”
Fu Jinchen returned to A City after three days of recuperation at the B City Hospital. After returning home, he put on a set of black clothes, a peaked cap and a mask before leaving the room.
Although Chu Liang didn’t know what he was doing, he still quickly caught up to Fu Jinchen.
Fu Jinchen didn’t say a word as he walked in front. Since it was a busy weekend, Chu Liang had to speed up his pace in order to keep up with Fu Jinchen.
After walking for an unknown amount of time, Fu Jinchen’s figure suddenly disappeared, causing Chu Liang to freeze on the spot.
While she was in a daze, the sound of footsteps came from behind. Chu Liang reflexively kicked at the person who came, but he was stopped.
Chu Liang turned around and saw that the people in front of him were all wearing black suits and had unfriendly expressions on their faces.
Could it be his enemy?
Chu Liang knit his brows and silently retreated a few steps, but they were still gradually closing in on him.
Even if he wanted to dodge, he couldn’t. Chu Liang took a deep breath, and the expression in his eyes changed slightly as he attacked the nearest person.
That person had obviously underestimated Chu Liang. He had actually used his hands to block her kick, but under the recoil, he fell to the ground.
Chu Liang kicked the man’s stomach, causing him to grunt and curl into a ball.
The rest of the people exchanged glances and rushed towards Chu Liang.
If it was purely based on physical strength, Chu Liang definitely wouldn’t have been able to defeat a man. However, she took out her skills and nimbly dodged their attacks, causing them to be unable to control their strength and ended up fighting their comrades.
After struggling for a while, they all fell to the ground. Chu Liang looked around and pulled the man at his feet, his eyes slightly cold, “Who sent you here?”
The man’s lips moved, but before he could say anything, Chu Liang felt something cold on his neck, then he closed his eyes and fainted.
“As a bodyguard, yes.”
“Alright, I understand.” The man answered indifferently and walked towards the bed.
Chu Liang frowned, his fingers moved slightly as he slowly opened his eyes.
There was only a white knit light on the ceiling, and as she stared, she felt the sting in her eyes and closed them again.
“I know you’re awake.” Fu Jinchen’s voice suddenly rang out beside his ears. Chu Liang’s body stiffened for a moment before he immediately looked towards the source of the voice.
“Those people, were sent by you?” Chu Liang looked at Fu Jinchen in disbelief. Fu Jinchen cast a sidelong glance at Chu Liang and said in a cold voice,
“I will not give my life to second uncle’s people, so I will naturally test your ability.”
