Rise Ethereal Essence - Chapter 16

The Dark Essence searched for a location to start building. It passed through the desolate land trying to find a good place with a hard surface.

It had to make sure its creation wouldn’t be destroyed by anything and that it could stand against the many forces of nature and the world.

It went towards a large hill. The hill was covered with different types of grass. Most were dead and pale having no similarities to the ones within this nature-filled world.

They stretched around the hill through different places, zigzagging in different directions like lightning bolts all around the hill.

The Dark Essence hovered above the hill sending a sphere of itself into the hill. It was to observe the firmaments of the hill, and if it was good enough, the Dark Essence would use the area.

The sphere entered the large hill effortlessly. It wasn’t using the Sundering Rifts as that could destroy the hill.

It observed the inside of the hill and its foundation. The rocks of the hill were uniform and deep within the sediments. They extended miles into the world.

The Dark Essence saw everything as the sphere was part of its eyes and started to take action. This area was great, and its creation would remain standing in the world after it left.

It released a sheet passing it over the top of the hill and cutting it flat. Absorbing the substances that were cut, it compressed it into another Opaque orb.

After the absorbing spree earlier, the Dark Essence now had thousands of Opaque orbs. In reality, those orbs should have caused the Dark Essence some struggle to carry as they had great density, but there was no change within the space.

The weight did not affect it a single bit which should’ve been strange, but the Dark Essence hadn’t realized that yet nor the strange powers of the space.

It set the blueprints for the creation in its mind and began planning.

It tried choosing which orbs to use, but as there were so many options, it couldn’t decide. After a while of picking, choosing, and re-picking the Dark Essence said something along the borders of, “It doesn’t matter which ones I use, I’ll just use them all!” within its mind.

With that settled the Dark Essence became like an enormous machine. The six thirty-meter spheres with their own spaces took a few hundred Opaque orbs and changed the form of the space.

With the Opaque orbs within the space, they began passing layer after layer of Sundering Rifts through the orbs. The aftereffect was supposed to revert the substances into their various quantities once more. At first, it was difficult and didn’t work as the density of the orbs were near indestructible.

Most of the orbs were compressed from massive quantities of substances. It was almost a complete thirty meters of it all having been compressed into a small golf ball, and those thirty meters weren’t just like a pile of dirt that could be squeezed with a hand. No, it was like taking a boulder and compressing it into a small pebble.

That density was no simple matter.

After multiple tries, the matter was changed to its granular size. For a compressed substance to actually revert to its original form was incomprehensible. If another person tried this, the result might be similar to crushing rocks, which was different from what the Dark Essence did.

The “natural behavior” the Dark Essence called Sundering Rifts was unique indeed. There was plenty more to learn from it.

The hundreds of orbs within the six spaces reverted into their original substances with small changes. The only ones that vastly changed were the Opaque orbs containing the Lifeless, Plants, Liquiform, and Air categories. After those substances reverted, they became crystallized and fog-like.

The Dark Essence practiced creating the form it wanted. With the different substances from the hundreds of orbs being reverted, many of them were mixed throughout the space. As there were more substances than the spaces could hold, most of them were squeezed tightly.

The space of the six spheres changed into the shape of obelisks. The obelisks spiraled upwards and at the very top were decagonal pyramids. The ten surfaces of the pyramid that met at a point had the purpose of representing the ten different suns in the solar system.

Each obelisk had a height of sixty meters and a width of ten meters.

With the shape of the mold set, the Dark Essence compressed the various substances into their molds. The substances came together creating a new form that reflected everything like a mirror. The obelisks glowed with strange powers, and the ten surfaces of the pyramid were ringed by a strange fog. That fog had ten different colors.

The Dark Essence had used the various plants with their essences and merged them into the decagonal pyramids. The condensed fog floated around the pyramid slowly incorporating into the ten surfaces.

The Dark Essence created four more of the obelisks and placed them on the perimeter of the flat hill merging them with the firmaments. There were ten sixty-meter high obelisks standing imposingly on the hill. They made the hill appear like the noble dwelling of a king.

The obelisks were evenly distributed throughout the perimeter of the hill leaving a vast open area in the center.

The obelisks were not the center you say? Not the main thing the Dark Essence wanted to create? WRONG! They were just part of its creation. You could say it was a decoration to make the main creation look superior!

With ten obelisks on the perimeter, the Dark Essence moved on to the next mold. The main creation!
