Rise Ethereal Essence - Chapter 17
The world of The Crystal Tree was covered in a variety of plants and life.
The Crystal Tree created the dryads in the early stages of the world’s existence, long before the elves but after the god messengers. Dryads were the embodiment of nature. Their existence brought prosperity and growth to the world.
Dryads went in and out of trees exchanging essence and being nurtured in return. When they entered trees, an expansive world lay before them. Every tree had one, but accessible only to the dryads.
There, the trees absorbed the essence absorbed by the dryads bodies. In return, the trees provided the dryads nutrients for their continued existence.
They were part of a chain of life.
Countless years later, their numbers diminished. Many of them banded together embodying trees, others merged with existing trees, becoming one together and some disappeared.
Without the copious dryads assisting the chain of life, the world met with changes. These changes impacted the nature of this world unnoticeably.
For some unknown reason, life furthest away from The Crystal Tree broke off. The existence of life, on the other side of the planet slowly vanished being replaced with withered plants and barren lands. The cause was unknowingly quite alarming.
The Crystal Tree somewhat understood, and that’s where the Sun Elves came into play. Their natures would restore the world.
But with the Dark Essence absorbing the substances of the environment near the barren lands, the vivacity of nature became frail.
The land devastated by its absorption assisted the withering force. Many roots of The Crystal Tree also were absorbed and damaged in the process. If the Dark Essence didn’t have a sudden obsession to create something similar to the elves centers, the devastation would be another story.
The creation of the ten obelisks had already changed the land vastly. Although it was imperceptible, it was there. Gradually, plants straightened and regained healthy colors.
The Dark Essence still had thousands of Opaque orbs. Many new substances were absorbed and converted. Of the ones that were new, many were metals and plants.
The metals hadn’t been encountered before. These metals weren’t normal metals that could be found in any mine. They were Timber Ore. Just like its name, the metal was ore attributed to wood elements.
This Timber Ore was rare, but within the vast world of The Crystal Tree, there was no small amount of it. Of the innumerable trees, countless contained this ore.
The ore was mainly found in the center of a tree’s roots. The essences of the different suns lights were infused into them giving them interesting properties.
The new and most obvious plant substances the Dark Essence collected were the roots of The Crystal Tree and some monstrous plants similar to the one that Ition battled.
The Crystal Tree was durable and impenetrable. The only reason the Dark Essence was capable of absorbing some of its roots was due to the withering force. That strange force weakened the roots that were too far away from the center of the tree.
But even then, it was baffling. The Dark Essence unintentionally absorbed the roots of a supernatural being.
Looking over the many Opaque orbs, it singled out many of the Stone, Dirt, Liquiform, and Lifeless orbs.
The spaces in the spheres reverted the substances while changing form. The substances were mixed and molded into a grand set of stairs encircling and reaching the bottom of the hill. The stairs reached a platform that was like a crystal that was cloudy, covering the entire flat surface of the hill.
If one were to stand upon it, they would feel like they were in the sky. The obelisks, stairs, and platform were imposing and palatial.
The Dark Essence just threw orbs here and there reverting most of them into their original form and melding them into the platform and stairs.
After setting a foundation, it used everything again mainly incorporating the Timber Ores, Plant orbs, and Liquiform orbs.
The next creations were four towers around an ample center where the last creation would go.
The Dark Essence molded a tower in the space. With the use of the Timber Ores, Plant and Liquiform Ores the tower was crystal and wood with a refreshing color and aura. At the top of the tower was a vine wrapped around a misty orb.
The Dark Essence created three more towers. The four towers surpassed the obelisks by at least three times. The tower seemed connected with the atmosphere through the misty orb.
The four towers had floating pathways connected to the obelisks. The obelisks constantly channeled power into them filling it with energy.
…
Days had gone by, and the Dark Essence was creating these towers.
The god messengers gaze was unflinching, stupefied at the scene before them.
High in the sky were the static bodies of the messengers. Shock was written all over their faces.
Miles ahead of the crater the Light messenger was attempting to restore were more craters, not just two or three, but hundreds, probably thousands of them.
They varied in size. From one end to the next. Some were the size of mines and others were deep like caves, but that wasn’t all.
Far beyond the craters, at least a few miles, was a hill.
Stairs ringed the large hill. Ten obelisks surrounded the border of the
They perceived the essence of the ten-colored lights of the suns infused into the obelisks and the floor surrounding the obelisks absorbed the lights of the sky making the cloudy textures appear airy.
But those astonishing features were incomparable to what they were gawking at. An imposing tower stood near the center of the flat hill.

One by one, three more towers fell from the sky. Where? How? Why?
The appearance of three similarly imposing towers falling out of nowhere, just suddenly appearing, shook the messengers so much their reasoning completely stopped working.
How could it not? Who would have ever expected a tower to fall from the clear sky?
