Rise From Modern To Fantasy! - Chapter 10
The sun hanged high in the sky singling the time being around noon maybe past one or two the sun was blazing but a soft breeze helped make their work more enjoyable.
The click and clunks footsteps of the metal humanoid drones echoed lightly in the air, as a figure in a casual loose fitting clothes that hung from the body exposing several areas in the shoulder and c.h.e.s.t was looking toward the data streaming across the tablet in her hand as she directed the mindless automatons to where they were needed. The information displayed on the bright screen of the tablet read clear as day, HAZ-001 Servitors, a variant of the original first mass-produced automats humanoid drones ever built used by Chinese government. A humanoid autonomous bipedal robot, they are primarily used by the mechanics in the construction industry as mechanical personnel intended for manufacturing and other such routine tasks. They construct and maintain structures, mine and retrieve raw materials when needed, but are also commonly used both in military and private security applications.
As she continued on with her work directing the drone where they were need and the task they were to perform a bell like voice called out to her from behind.
“Hey~, hey Jiaying You~!” A Female student in the loose male uniform that dr.a.p.ed over her small body frame she almost tripped by her looses uniform pants that dangerous showed her bottoms barley held up by the belt strap at her slim curve h.i.p.s. Jiaying You looks back away from the tablet in her hand to the student coming up to her side. There were several massive manipulator claws protruding out of the student’s backpack along with various tools, the sheer weight of it all nearly tipping the student over due to the difference in weight on her back.
“Whoa there Hwei-ru take it easy there don’t want to falling all over the place here now you’re not the same as before to handle that Servo-Harness you got there.”
Hwei-ru Fang stumbled on her way to where Jiaying You was standing at once she stopped at Jiaying You’s side she readjusted the massive backpack on her back the object in question on Hwei-ru Fang’s back is known as a Servo-Harness. A mobile workshop strapped onto a user back that usually consists of multiple mechanical limbs that holds many tools attached to each limbs ranging from a wide variety of tools from power drills and manipulator claws to even weapons depending on the user this can allow a skilled battle mechanic to make battlefield repairs on any vehicle, shore up defenses, or assist his comrades in combat.
“Yeah it’s a pain in the a.s.s wearing this right now but it’s all we’ve got, anyway the walls are nearly repaired maybe not as sturdy as before but we did what we could with the supplies you gave us.”
“No it’s more than enough at least we have a wall standing now, that should eases the minds of the rest of the student body at least.”
Jiaying You looked back towards the reconstructed concrete walls with several sections of the wall haven been reconstructed with a different midtrial similar but yet at first glance easily noticeably different from normal concrete. One noticeable difference between the two different concrete mixtures used to patch up the wall with one the original, being smoother while the other the new material having a rougher texture with bits and pieces of pebbles and stones laying out the surface. This mixture was by the engineering students by first grinding up a variety of stone and rocks that litter outside of the schools grounds where the construction was being commenced. Then the smaller stones were then combined with a synthetic binding known as DH-42 Formula to produce a quick-drying slurry that can be formed into the solution to rebuild the wall with the same considerable tensile strength and survivability of ordinary concrete if not more.
While at the same time trying with all her being to ignoring the new features outside of the wall that was not there several weeks, mainly the massive mountain that seem to reach the skies, sights that defied everything she knew about science and physics floating islands with several waterfalls pouring out of the edges the water disappearing into the clouds that surround them. Beyond the reconstructed walls lies open plain fields and forest that linger in between the hills and mountains that litter around them. Looking away from the madness around her that her brain has acknowledge long ago but her heart refuses to accept back to the work site that surrounds her the mechanical noises of the drones, that sound of a foreign note to the song of the wind in the air which at least felt more familiar to her not that she didn’t enjoy it but it was just too foreign to her senses. A gust of wind blew over her and another scent filled her nose one that made her frown looking towards the source of the smell not too far away from where she and Hwei-ru Fang where standing at, another group of students wearing full hasmask suits with sealed gas masks carrying large canister bins together from an storage house that they “borrowed” from one of the nearby homes.
Stepping out from the opened metal sliding doors the smell was gut wrenching even from such a distance away it was still enough to make Jiaying You feel nausea. She could only image at this point what it must feel inside that ‘Disposal House’. She in all of her heart felt bad for the girls doing that mess job being as how she was the one to put them on that job.
This ‘disposal house’ was set up during the same time of the construction work where they would be “cleaning up” the corpses of the dead danger beasts the term for these creatures that they came up with to classify them as these creatures are truly different from regular animals. There around the school ground the battered remains were lying around as the students were picking up every scrap of meat lying around on the floor while trying to bear the horrible sight of the bodies. Most of the bodies were gruesomely deformed beyond recognition only if one were to look carefully. But who could stand looking at a bloody heap of meat all bashed up mixed up in dirt, filled with holes that if one were to look through it they would see the other side. Areas here and there mushed or stretched out from the rest one can already see the picture.
The bodies of those that they lost were recovered and burned their ashes lay in the tomb with all those who had fallen, their names engraved upon that stone slab in front of their dorm. There was no day of mourning or grand funeral for the sisters that they have lost as there was too much work to be done. They had to move on, however they will remember them for as long as they live and they will not disgrace their dead by using their death as an excuse for self pity and lack of motivation to continue to live. Now that would have been disgraceful to their memories.
They were not as kind in dealing with the bodies of the Danger Beast that invaded their home couple of weeks ago; though out for malicious intent as they couldn’t burn the bodies as it would definitely attracted other creatures in the area. They had to dispose of the bodies through the use of acids melting the bodies after piling up the bodies. Such was the gruesome task that was happening within that tiny storage hut. The smell was horrible one would think it was the smell like baroque grilling but can immediately tell that it is not. The sight of the bodies melting was a little too much for many of the student bodies as they nearly wanted to puke because of the smell and the gruesome sight of what had to be done. Even Jiaying You had to admit to herself that it was gruesome. Though they didn’t falter in their task and continued on with their role to help recover and for that Jiaying You was proud and thankful for her brave sisters who devoted themselves to this task, with Bernadette Félix at the head though she was not requested by Jiaying You she herself took up the role inspiring the others further in this line of duty.
Not just Bernadette Félix the other Representative Elites were helping in their own ways in the recovery efforts. Diana Brown with the help of Xin Hua LaoShi was also working on the new wall Diana donning her own Servo-Harness multiple mechanical limbs and manipulator claws moving here and there patching seals along the wall with Xin Hua LaoShi’s guidance. Surprisingly Diana Brown was not showing any sort of contempt or rebellious behavior but was actually diligently working while accepting her lessons as she was working. Hiyuki Hikari is currently working with Meng Yi LaoShi helping her in organizing a proper better defense force; even Chun Hyang was helping out Meng Liang LaoShi with the food situation.
Suddenly an alarm came upon her from her wrist to be exact a seismic watch was vibrating and it alarm echoed in the air. Originally these watches were meant to track seismic activity in the wearer’s area; however it was discovered due to the vibrations that were produced when surrounding creatures came close to the walls the watches can pick these up as well. Thus these past few days the watch has proved quite useful in keeping alert while they were working.
“Rooooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!”
A near Twenty-foot tall giant humanoid beast similar to that of mythology ogres mixed with a modern gorilla back on earth but all over it’s muscular body it is covered in heavy armored scales that looks similar to rocks along its body mainly its head c.h.e.s.t and arms.
It send a shiver down the spines of everyone present who heard it, those working on top of the wall including Diana Brown cried out to those behind the wall of the creature’s coming. The beast charged straight forward without any delay after it immediately set it’s sight on the wall at great speeds. Without giving them any time to react to the situation at hand the Twenty-foot tall creature closed in on the wall.
However before it got another meter closer to the wall a sharp noise cut through the air as something flew past Diana Brown’s head causing a rush of air over her at went straight for the creature.
An explosion appeared on the creature’s c.h.e.s.t knocking it back as it flew in the air and into a massive boulder shattering it in pieces forming a dust cloud that covered the area. As a dark figure in pitch black colored armored slowly descended from the sky and landed gently on the ground in front of the beast.
Einherjar Regen now stood in its path before the beast one of its massive shoulder cannons leveled towards the creature’s direction before it retracted backwards lining parallel to its twin on the WarFrame’s back. The students on top of the wall cheered at the sight of their savior. The dust cleared as the creature got on its feet while staggering locked eyes with the Einherjar Regen’s helmet eye lenses as massive chuck of his rock scale like armor was blow clean off its c.h.e.s.t, revealing the raw ripped bulging muscles beneath. On a closer look as a light but clear sound unheard by anyone else other than Anastasia Volkov herself as it came from her helmet. A faint whirr gave away that faintly echoed in her helmet hinting to the fact of her suit’s armored helmet’s faceplate’s miniature optical cameras behind the eyes lenses had zoomed in close feeding fresh intel directly to her senses everything that can be observed and analyzed with missing a beat.
The Twenty-foot tall machine standing at the same height as the beast then in a blur of high pitch servo motor muscle fibers being pushed to their limits rushed forward, grabbing a massive handgun from its hip the weapon locked magnetically to its metal surface sprang out from its place and into the Einherjar Regen’s left hand. Once Anastasia Volkov had a firm grip of the weapon she pointed towards the beast and squeezed the trigger firing the gun as she ran towards it. However the bullets were bouncing off of the scale armor on the Brutes body. The Brute in turn simply charged forward at the being of similar height encased in metal not even minding the bullets flying at it as they bounced off its armor. As it neared the WarFrame both parties raised their right arms and swung at each other at the same time.
Crack~! A loud crack rang form the impact and it was from the beast’s hand that has sounded from as numerous cracks have appeared all over the right arm. Its armor scales broke and fell upon the ground like dried leaves in autumn’s time. The cause of this came from the Einherjar Regen’s arm that was coated in a clear sparks of lightning and a clear light bluish aura covering it. Paying no mind to that the Brute quickly retaliated with a left hook towards the Einherjar Regen’s right shoulder but a few inches from the WarFrame’s armor plating, the fist was halted from reaching its destination no prevented from contact. Around the area where the beast tried to reach was distorted with several twist and turns like water ripples on water’s surface. A flaring sphere of energy appeared around her frame, leaving her unscathed before it disappeared as quickly as it had appeared like it never existed.
“The Absolute Defensive Energy Shielding System huh, the Russians have perfected the system as well it would seem.” Diana Brown comment in surprise at the sight of what just transpired.
Einherjar Regen moved giving no time for the creature to react as Anastasia Volkov’s equal sized mechanical fist grabbed the brute’s right hand in her own palms and twisted it resulting in the beast dropping down to it’s knees. She then swung her leg back before thrusting it forward right between the creature’s legs, then in a blur of motion she swung a left hook with the b.u.t.t of her weapon to its rocky face scattering the scales on its cheek before pulling back and threw another punch. All the while still holding on to the creature’s hand in her own hand before she seemly got bored thrashing its face in then kicked it away crashing it into yet another boulder.
However the Brute sudden regained it’s composure faster than expected and sprang back onto it’s feet staggering while trying to regain its balance because of that unexpected attack and rushed back at arm flaying around like it has entered into a berserker like state.
Anastasia Volkov snorted lightly in her helm before one massive cannon on her back leveled itself forward, the tip of the barrel leveled towards the raging beast.
“Our business here is done. До свиданья.” (Do svidanya) (Translated as “bye-bye”) Once she had target lock Anastasia Volkov with a single thought command the cannon spat fire and the beast was enveloped in flames in a second. She then waited a few seconds waiting for the data feed to come in her helmet. No reading and indication from the reading tells her that the beast still lived.
Behind her back the few dozen students on top of the wall with others joining them on top of the wall gave out a cheer with Jiaying You among them as she let out a sigh of relief. She wasn’t all that worried that about Anastasia losing but one couldn’t really keep calm in situations like this as there was no way of really knowing the outcome of things. Losing interested in the sight Anastasia Volkov turned away as she tried to activate her thrusters a warning rune suddenly shone in her HUD of a threat behind her. Not just from the alarm and flashing warning rune in her eyes through it all she could pick up the voices and cries of her comrades on the wall. Voices of alarm and concerns which caused her to turn her body back towards the scene of carnage. Within the sea of fire at the very center of it, there stood the Brute with Burns and black spot all around its body however the scales on its body started to fall off revealing a pure non-burnt skin as it started to expanded. The Brute’s muscles expanded, bones could be heard breaking and muscles tearing away its already massive hand’s fingers grew in length and ended in talons. The talons glowed in a strange unnatural aura around its edges that was picked up on the Einherjar Regen’s sensors, as the beast stepped out of the fire slowly revealing itself to the world it had grown over 25 feet tall [7 meters tall]. Now the creature stood above the size of the WarFrame Battle Suit.
“”Bozhe Moi~.” (My God in Russian)
The Brute’s appearance has drastically changed from its previous looks a few seconds ago it has lost the scaly armor look and has become more muscular all over its body. However though it’s hands have drastically grew larger and have grown extremely large claws on it fingers. Its humanoid face also changed severely as it grew much larger and sharper fangs and becoming beastier like in appearance.
“Crap it evolved is that even supposed to be fair?! Anastasia get out of there!” Jiaying You cried out in desperation as if she was the one standing in front of the beast not Anastasia Volkov.
As if it knew such battle tactics of seizing the moment, the Brute rushed forward not letting upon this chance of distraction to finish what it had started, Anastasia without being able to react fast enough to the Brute’s offensive the beast closed the distance between them rammed itself and against the Suit with its whole body. The energy shielding appeared over Anastasia Volkov’s body in response to the attack but the kinetic force behind the charge was still enough to knock Anastasia off of her feet and then she was sent flying into the reconstructed wall creating a massive hole in the section of the wall she crashed into.
The dust cleared revealing the dark figure of the Einherjar Regen flat on its back in front of the few students who were behind the wall; Anastasia was struggling to get back on her feet as quickly as it could as the beast closed in on her.
“Damn it we don’t have any weapons on us to distracted it or anything…shit…..but we have to do something!”
Jiaying You was frustrated at herself for not better planning for this kind of scenario as she could only helpless watch as the beast slowly came through the hole that the Einherjar Regen made. She frantically looked around her for something to throw or something then from the corner of her eye she saw four bodies each carrying a large object between them.
It was Bernadette Félix in her full hasmask suit but her head was b.a.r.e sweat lit by the sunlight on her face and Xin Hua LaoShi along with Diana Brown and Hwei-ru Fang, Jiaying You wasn’t even aware when the Diana had scaled back down the wall but the two groups was each carrying a large canister bin the smell overcame her sense almost immediately. She knew what it was the smell also seemed to attract the beast full attention as its face turned into a scowl at the smell it turned its head towards the source seeing the pairs of two running at it.
With the smell growing stronger the beast face got more distorted like it was getting sick it got more defensive at the incoming group as it began backing away, but once they were close enough by a few meters they threw the large canisters together into the air. There it flew spiraling slightly in the wind before crashing down onto the ground its insides spilling outwards and into the outside world. The scent of it all consumed the air around the area causing many of the students to gag as they ran away from the site in an attempt to rid themselves of the smell.
The beast howled pitifully as it gagged while throwing up its stomach contents at the smell that invaded its nose it staggered in its steps rushing towards the opening at the wall. Xin Hua LaoShi chased after it with Einherjar Regen’s fallen gun which she retrieved from the ground. The weapon was bigger than her body as it was sized to match the WarFrame suit the force of the recoil shot through her body hard but she held firm, the energy flowed through her body like electricity her bosom jiggled like tofu but still her hand squeezed the trigger. The rounds hit home upon the creature hide but it was too tough for the rounds to penetrate through.
Suddenly over in the distance from the direction of school grounds a sudden flash of Whitish-Silver was rushing towards them on pairs of flashing white wings of searing flames headed straight for the beast.
Jiaying You squint her eyes at the sight before her eyes widen at the realization of what it was.
“Is that the……..it is it really is Yue again that damn girl is acting reckless again damn her!”
Boom~! A loud noise of something hitting metal resonated in the air as the WarFrame crashed into the beast back slamming it down head first into the dirt. Before twirling around in the air riding upon its fiery wings performing an athletic twirling motion in the air before landing heavily on the dirt ground outside the wall, the white armored WarFrame now stood a few feet away from where the creature
From the palm of the WarFram’s massive metal hands bright flashes of light particles along with sparks of lighting started to form and expanded till the light began to materialize into two different sword one being the Type-15 Vibration Sword Han (VS) the moment it fully appeared in Yue’s hands she thumb a switch near its hilt, it hissed as the gray material of the blade suddenly becoming red as it edges of the blade giving off red mist.
This was a Type-14 Revolver Blade, a superheated rotating blade capable of slashing through the metal of most units, the sword is constructed similarly to a chainsaw, wherein small blades (also known as teeth) circulate around the length of the blade; the main difference is that heat or rather plasma is used to further the effectiveness of the sword, making it even sharper. Because of the heat and durably of the teeth given off of the Revolver Blade it can clash with a weapon like the High-Frequency Blade and the Vibration Sword without being cut.
The beast got back on its feet slowly while still throwing up it insides but Yin Yue wasn’t waiting, activating her Jump Units riding upon her fiery wings she rushed at the beast. Blades whirling she first carved a savage line down the Beast’s left flank, blood and muscle tissue sprayed her armor overlaying the pure white with a crimson red. Without a pause a second blow slashed open the beast’s leg and put it back down on one knee again. It could barley hold itself upright as it got in to a defensive posture trying desperately to protect itself from Yin Yue’s frenzy onslaught as more cuts appeared on it body.
As if not willing to take this beat down any further the beast gave out a roar that shook the earth around it, as it swung its arm around, Yin Yue reacted just in the nick of time to parry the blow with her two weapons. Still the force of the impact knocks her back a few pace she rammed her blades down digging into the dirt skidding to a halt. It then sprang on to its feet blood sprayed out of the wound in its legs like water geysers as it rushed at Yin Yue talons at the ready. Yin Yue saw the blow coming and had her arms up to intercept the incoming blow. The moment the talons meets with the armored plate forearm of the WarFrame the surface area of the plate sparked into life as the talon dragged across the surface, the surface where talon touched flared like a plasma drill at work. However after the talon left the metal surface it was untouched not even leaving a scratch upon the metal paint. However the connecting force was still enough to push her back a few paces with her feet fixed to the ground digging in to the dirt of the ground as she slide backwards.
“The Energy Conversion System why is she not using the Energy Shield System instead that reckless idiot!?” Jiaying You asked herself seeing what was happening.
“You think she forgot about it?!” Hwei-ru said out loud beside her.
The Electromagnetic Variable Energy Conversion Armor one of the first and the standard armor defense system of WarFrame Battle Suits, an armor system that uses electricity to reduce the damage from all forms of physical attacks although in most practicalities, makes the suit virtually immune to solid body impact attacks. Due to the special make-up of the WarFrame’s armor plating the Energy Conversion Armor is powered by the excess power build up generated by the WarFrame’s Fusion Reactor, giving the WarFrame’s armor planting the strength level of tank armor or greater. When the Energy Conversion armor powers up, a hissing sound can be heard and the surface of the suit’s armor is overlaid in clear seen through energy field, which is alterable by entering different values in the Armor Voltage section of the OS (Operation Setting). Due to newer upgrade modification to the systems allows the WarFrame to automatically alter the strength and by extension the power consumption of the armor system, depending on what combat configuration or situation that suit is in and is capable of changing its strength in the field, however the programming for this is still most likely done off-field beforehand.
Where as
The Absolute Defensive Energy Shielding System the latest and highly potent energy defensive system that was developed with the intent to replace the Electromagnetic Variable Energy Conversion Armor. As the latest form of primary protection for WarFrame and its pilot, the Energy Shield (invisible to n.a.k.e.d eye) could block both physical and optical weapons. The protection level of WarFrame shield is sufficient to be impenetrable to most conventional weaponry, but it could be penetrated by high-powered weaponry. However once powered up, much like the Energy Conversion armor it requires a steady flow of energy to maintain although power consumption spikes momentarily whenever the suit is hit.
But the system was still in the prototype stage but latest test results yield very favorable results as was demonstrated by Anastasia Volkov’s Einherjar Regen, and quite honestly in many of the present souls it would have been a safer option.
“Yue get out of the way!” Anastasia Volkov who got back on her feet her Cannons leveled and aimed at the creature cried out, trying to readjust her sight of her cannon without trying to catch Yin Yue in the crossfire but to no avail as she repeatedly rushed at the beast. She swung and twirled around blades dancing in flurries when those blows connected blood poured out, they were absolutely ferocious. She was not displaying the graceful skills of a honed practitioner but with wild savagery of a crazed berserker. No longer moving in calculating manner or evaluating her surroundings, but focused purely on the single task at hand.
However surprisingly it seemed to be working in her favor as the beast now seemed to be on the defensive rather than the offensive, it was ridiculed with cuts dripping with its body fluids. As she repeatedly slashed at it she wasn’t just swinging her weapons just from one direction. She came from the sides, from above, from the back, pushing her Jump Units to their max and Suit’s motors as they sparked and sound of metal cracking can be heard. She was darting all over the place rising dust cloud with every thump of her feet around the beast.
Yin Yue ignored all voices calling out to her and continued her assault, before a shadow was casted over her head she caught the sight of the creature’s massive palm reaching for her before her Helm’s HUD screen blurred slightly before it turned black.
“Ughh!” Yin Yue cried out as the head of her suit was grabbed causing the suit to shake and because of the Brute’s strength it’s finger crushed the main cameras installed in the head which rendered the screen useless now as she could not see any more but that was the less of her problems at the moment. She felt herself flying in the air before hitting something rolling around in the dark before she came to a stop. Though she couldn’t see hearing the loud thumping sounds of heavy footsteps the beast was upon her. However what she could see was that the Brute raised it foot up and stepped down near the waist joint area connecting the legs of the suit.
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!” Yue cried out in pain as more pressure was applied on.
“Anastasia~!” seeing what was happening the color drain from Jiaying You as she turned cried out in desperation towards the only other soul who could save Yue now.
Bang! Bang! Two gunshots rang out as two orange flashes of light bounced off the creatures head; the blow though not affective distracted the beast long enough for it to lessen the pressure on Yue’s leg as she quickly crawled away from that spot. The beast looking towards the source of what stroke it, its eyes laid upon the figure was Xin Hua LaoShi with the massive WarFrame handgun like weapon in her hands.
“Now~!” She shouted.
“Firing~!” Anastasia Volkov answered back her voice amplified by her helm’s speaker as she readied her Cannons at the brute. Seeing the danger it was in it tried to move out of the way however a heavy blow hit its legs knocking the strength out of its muscles. The cause of this was Yue who recovered herself. Her head was now b.a.r.e having ripped her helmet off her forehead drenched in sweat she quickly got into a stance, but stumbled in the motion due to the pain shooting through her leg when she tied to stand but she pushed through gritting her teeth, as she swung the Type-7 that she materialized with both hands at the creature’s knee.
Hitting the creature hard enough with the force equal to that of a cannon ball strike stagger the beast longer for the round to hit true. Boom! An exploded appeared its head disappeared in a swell of gore and mist of blood slowly the headless body dropped onto the ground with a loud thud, signaling the threat has finally come to an end.
Minutes later after the battle has ended, more students were called for the cleanup efforts in disposing the massive corpse of the danger beast. As well as to replace the team working before a team of two Gun-Rus were included as well now stationed here due to the event that just happened as stretch as they already they made it work.
“What the hell were you thinking~!” Anastasia Volkov voice roared among the crowd cutting through the teams working around the sight and came up to Yin Yue who was being seated down by Xin Hua LaoShi along with Jiaying You’s help.
“Anastasia please that can-”
“Your reckless action could have resulted in more devastating consequences do you realize that this is no place for you to be playing hero! We can’t afford to lose you and I think we’ve had enough deaths as it is already!”
Anastasia Volkov continued her rant cutting off Jiaying You before she could finish her sentence the surrounding students looked weary at one another and at the scene unsure of what was happening, before they hurried along with their task ignoring what was happening.
“Well I’m sorry if I intervened in your game plan I did what I could to the best of my abilities.” Yin Yue shrugged her expression cold her eyes as dead as night if didn’t seem like she could see her own surroundings.
“A game is that what you think this is?! I don’t care about some stupid kill I’m more worried about you how could you act so reckless like that is vain glory all you care about?!”
Anastasia Volkov came up right to Yin Yue and clasped her cheeks in the palm of her hands the feeling of Yin Yue’s skin however chilled her hands the moment their skins came in contact. She froze into a stiff statue it frighten her combined with the feeling she was getting looking into her eyes so hollow like Yin Yue’s eye at this moment could see right pass her and into her vey soul.
“It okay Anastasia we talk to her you must be tired go get some rest you earned it.”
Soft warming hand touched Anastasia Volkov’s shoulder breaking her out of her trance, looking up towards the owner of that hand it was Xin Hua LaoShi giving her a warm caring simile only a mother could give and it smooth her over enough to forget the chill.
“But Xin Hua LaoShi-” she started before she could finish
“It’s okay I’ll talk to her get some rest.” Xin Hua LaoShi’s voice was smoothing and clam but carried a sense of authority to it as well, as if stating that she wasn’t taking any objections to her command.
“Yes Xin Hua LaoShi.” Anastasia Volkov softly replied as she turned around slowly not before turning her head back just for a brief moment to look back at Yin Yue before continuing off.
“If you’re going to lecture me about what I did Xin Hua LaoShi that you’re wasting your breath-”
Yin Yue cold word was cut short by a warm embrace she felt the soft sensation of two jelly mounds on her face that went squish squish with each second. The grip of the pair of arms around her head was getting tighter but not to the point where it would () but in a light comforting manner that eased Yin Yue’s thoughts.
“I was worried about you.” Xin Hua LaoShi calmly said with a soothing voice that surprisingly put Yin Yue at ease.
“We already lost enough of your sisters and you need not stop blaming yourself in self pity or you’ll not only cause more harm to yourself but to those around you. I won’t keep blabbing on but please think on that I don’t want to bury another daughter so quickly now we’ll leave you to think on the matter ok.”
Yin Yue’s cold lifeless eyes seemed to regain a bit of light in them at her words the warm comfort left her as Xin Hua LaoShi let her head go.
‘Jiaying You take care of her I will go and help out the others.”
“O-ok.” Xin Hua LaoShi then slowly walked away from where Yin Yue was sitting on and towards the other students working around the area. Jiaying You began helping Yin Yue message her leg much to latter’s disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e.
“So care to explain, this.” Not long after Xin Hua LaoShi left the duo to themselves another soul soon was walking up to Yin Yue it was Shu Rong and one didn’t even need to see the fury on her face to tell that she was angry.
“Come on Shu Rong not you too.”
Jiaying You stared before she was Shu Rong didn’t even pay her any attention as she was purely focused on Yin Yue.
“Well what do you have to say for yourself, huh~?” Shu Rong once again questioned toward the person resting in the open on top of a makeshift stool of wooden crates.
“Yes~, yes I know, I know sorry okay hey at least it’s still in one piece right?”
Yin Yue responded weakly waving her right hand side to side gently.
“That’s not an excuse look at what the F.U.C.K YOU DID!!”
Couldn’t hold it in anymore Shu Rong shouted at Yue while pointing to an object behind them by a meter away.
“Hey keep it down there is people trying to get some work done here you know?” Yin Yue said with no emotion or focuses other than the etching pain creeping on her leg.
“Don’t try to change the subject look at THAT my baby’s full of shit, battered up and you wrecked its leg unit.”
‘Our BABY remember that you didn’t built that all by yourself.”
“Ok that just sounded wrong and weird just now but….you know what…..just…..forget it-forget it.”
The object in question was the WarFrame suit that Hwei-ru Fang was working on to the side of them. Originally what was a pure beautiful smooth clean white armor was covered in dirt and blood stain as well as some dents and scratches here and there all over it and one of its legs was in pieces right now because it was being taken apart with the help of her Servo-Harness.
“Lucky the damage was not that severe so we can make the repairs now after that I just need to clean off the filth off the poor thing.”
Shu Rong said while looking at the hologram pad with the data of the WarFrame suit on it, before taking her eyes off of it looking back at Yue.
“You know, you were really lucky that it was not that bad otherwise who knows what could have happened to your leg if it did.”
“I’m well aware of that thank you very much.”
“I’m serious here Yue.”
Shu Rong’s voice hardened giving of pressure that she usually never ever shows before.
“The joint areas at the knee were loose and the ankle joint was almost on the verge of breaking, now I have to replace the whole thing. But don’t forget that the point is the whole leg unit was unstable that puts a lot a strain on the waist section remember? Your WASIT.”
“I’ve repeatedly told you for the past week already multiple times cause of your crazy stunts that you have been performing the actuators and dampeners in the leg units are wearing out like crazy.”
“….” (Yue)
“You do remember it’s not just some suit of armor right? If you were not careful you could have lost your leg not even that you could have lost your balance all together and crashed your face on to the ground.”
“I know.” Yue simply replied while looking down at her legs though it hasn’t shown any signs of bruising yet the pain she felt in her leg was mind numbing, alleviated only by Jiaying You’s massage that helped greatly in soothing the pain.
The WarFrame suits are suits of armor but in a way not exactly like armor suits, it functions more like an extension of the human body because it has no control other than the motion sensor that captures the pilots body movement they are literally using their own bodies to move the WarFrame suits the suit’s joints are connected on their own bodies joints. Just like the time when the Brute step on the WarFrame’s waist joints connecting the legs it was also stepping on Yue’s leg as well as the suit is just an extension for the body the mechanical leg overlapped her own leg. So any mishap can result in injuring themselves if they are not careful, piloting the WarFrame suits requires a great deal amount of training the fact being that its motion controlled, making it difficult to perform any extreme maneuvers if their bodies cannot handle it. So Shu Rong wasn’t joking about one being able to perform such advanced movements without harming themselves it was not a joke.
Should Yin Yue had messed up in any sort of jump maneuvers before she would have done more than just injury her own legs she would have lost her legs entirely at the time. Because of the force of impact when she landed on the ground could backfire and break her legs just doing that alone puts a lot of strain on one’s legs, and there have been cases of people injuring themselves in the past.
“And why the hell were you using that old defense system you have an energy shield why not use it were you trying to lose a limb or something?”
“I know I just didn’t bother I need to test some theory out the energy field that the creature produced in its talons resembled that swarm lord I face before.”
Yin Yue gestured towards the massive headless corpse of the beast that was being carried by a dozen students to the ‘Disposal House’
“You-you didn’t bother-” the words choked in Shu Rong throat as she couldn’t believe the absurdity of an answer that she just heard, Jiaying You also equally as shocked to such an replied that she momentarily forgot about the massage she was performing.
“And my theory was corrected the Energy Conversion System was more than the WarFrame armor plating despite its looks can block an artillery rounds for crying out loud, what’s a messily set of energy bone claws or bone swords. The WarFrame was made to combat such a foe remember.”
“True but this is also mind you something completely new to us don’t make such a wild gamble base on such assumptions, that never leads to anything good.”
“Yes but think of that data you will thank me for that later.”
“Alright girls enough we settle this another time right now you need to get to Ji Qing Wu LaoShi to get that leg looked at.”
Jiaying You interjected herself in the conversation before the two could continue on helping Yin Yue up to her feet.
“We’ll head back first okay think you can manage the WarFrame with just you and Hwei-ru Fang.”
“Ok Hwei-ru Fang and I will finish up what we can here before taking it back to the shop we’ll see you back in the dorm.” Shu Rong simpliy replied before turing away heading to where Hwei-ru Fang was working as Jiaying You while helping Yin Yue to a BJ212 that would take them back to the school building.
Later on in the day the sun was setting over in the horizon painting the sky in a light orange-red Jiaying You was in her office working on certain paper works before the corded telephone on her desk rang. An old but surprisingly still usable tech, by linking up to the school’s old radio wave station they could now have proper communications around campus unlike their E-Wave technology which was currently down for the time being thus they resorted to using these old junks.
“Jiaying You do you know where Yin Yue went she told me before that she want to go out for some fresh air after I gave her the pain killers, but it’s been a while since she left my office.”
The heavenly sweet bell like but worried voice of Ji Qing Wu LaoShi came through from the other line.
“Oh boy….don’t….don’t worry Ji Qing Wu LaoShi I’ll go and find her.” Jiaying You replied and reassured her before she hung up on the call, already stressed by the amount of work that she had to complete she summoned whatever brain cells she could spare to think of where Yin Yue would go. Then she picked up the phone again and dialed down a number.
Several minutes later the sky became covered in a blanket of darkness with bright white stars like poke dote spots, Jiaying You was walking along the marble road of the school campus towards a another part of the campus. It was a fifteen minute walk to her destination but the calming cool night breeze helped make the walk enjoyable helped her ease her mind it was rather comforting. She then made a mental note to herself to do so more often.
She finally came upon her goal where a figure shroud in darkness, hearing her footsteps the figure turned her head around revealing her face in the street lamps revealing a long black hair beauty in a white blazer uniform.
“Is she inside?” Jiaying You asked waking up to Lien Hua Feng.
“Yeah~, and….I don’t know what to say.” Lien Hua Feng said straining her voice slightly trying to put words together that she said.
“She’s like a completely different person.”
“Maybe when that thing kicked her a.s.s it knocked out a few screws loose in her head so now she’s tripping”
“Sigh~, Probably.”
“So….I’ll just let you take this one she won’t even listen to me anymore.”
“I will don’t worry.” She reassured Lien Hua Feng as the two walked through the doorway entrance of the building. Walking down the dark corridor with the only light source coming from the other end of the hallway the two slowly made their way to the opposite end. What meet their eyes once they were outside was a massive opening with rows of seats, high above a lower area that seems to resemble an arena the seats swirled around the place in a perfect circle. The high ceilings casting dim lights that barley lit up the entire place, looking around the place most of the seats was empty all expected for the two souls present in the arena in front of them.
Bang~! Clink~, Clink! The sound of metal hitting metal and tortured energy fields echoed in the air the arena within the center of the space of the building that resembles much like an indoor stadium. Two figures with sparking, electrifying staffs were moving around rapidly the weapons in their hands were but blurs in the air till they meet. The two flew at one another, each strike flashing aside with bursts from their opposing power fields. Every second saw three strikes made, and each strike snapped back with the weapons’ electrical fields repelling one another after the metal kissed for the briefest moment. The air was rich with the ozone scent of abused power fields in only a matter of heartbeats they must have been going at each other for at least an hour.
The two females one with hair as dark as the night sky above outside the building, that reflected the light shining upon it as if denying the light from its presences, swing a long baton with both hands cracking with energy. While the other with silvery white hair that glowed in the illumination of the dim light around them giving it a slight shine to it, swinging two shorter batons in each hand. The two right now resembled dancing goddesses of the night so perfect were their movements it looked more like they were performing a dance rather than being locked in a furious fight.
Their duel was advancing towards a whole new level, their weapons bounced off one another with each strike of their sword dancing together, taking each other blows, each step in sync supporting one another swing at each other spinning around and round their swordmenship furious and elegant both parties of the dance as if considering the other guessing at how the other would think act and react. The two were semi nude at the moment wearing only the bear minimal wearing a loose spandex shorts that seemed a little loose on their bodies, their bosom held equally as loose with a towel wrapped tightly around them massive mounds that jiggled with each of their movements. Their body lines glistering with wet lines draping down their perfect body curves their sweat illuminated by the stadium lights and their weapons at hand.
The sight of which captivated the minds and soul of Jiaying You and Lien Hua Feng upon the beauty of it all, from the graceful movements, to the sophisticated skills that they were displaying. At the moment both Jiaying You and Lien Hua Feng in their minds can only describe the scene in front of them in the only word that comes to their minds. Beautiful, it wasn’t some barbarism act that others would claim it to be. No it was but a work of art itself the art of killing.
Hiyuki Hikari and Yin Yue were so engrossed in their fight that they didn’t even notice their two new spectators or they just simply didn’t care. It wasn’t until a moment later that Jiaying You regained her composure and remembered the original purpose of what they were doing here as she took a deep breath and shouted at the top of her lungs.
“Yue what are you doing you’re supposed to be resting~!”
The two originally locked in their own little world suddenly had their world crash by the shock of which cause the two dancing angels in the ring to stop and immediately turn their attention to the source of the interruption of their duel.
“Oh it’s you two huh.” Yin Yue who saw Jiaying You and Lien Hua Feng let out an annoyed reply.
“Don’t “oh it’s you two” me young lady don’t make me repeat myself!”
Suddenly from Yin Yue’s peripheral vision the long baton in Hiyuki Hikari’s hand was coming towards her face, because of the sudden appearance of the object in her vision she didn’t have enough time to evade. The baton kissed the surface Yin Yue’s cheek the force of it knocked her twirling in circle before she went down before she could retaliate against this she felt a hot near her neck.
“Yield!” Hiyuki Hikari cried out as she pointed the electrified baton staff in her hands at Yin Yue’s neck just a few inches from her neck. Slowly Yin Yue moved in a motion like she was about to surrender then in flash she swung one of her baton to knock the baton at her neck away the second meet the kneecap of her opponent resulting in her dropping to one knee. Before Yin Yue could swing again Hiyuki Hikari swung her baton knocking Yue’s batons out of her hands, but in retaliation Yue fisted the tool form her hand as they two then resulted to using their hands, throwing punches and grabbling with each other in a tight embrace.
“Hey you two break it up that’s enough Hiyuki Hikari you battle crazed whore stop that now and Yue let go of her hair hey are you two listening…..ah…hey stop that…..hey watch the face!”
Seeing as how the two weren’t going to stop anytime soon Jiaying You jumped in to break the two up resulting in her getting entangled in their catfight resulting in the three’s disheveled hair, Jiaying You’s uniform was torn in large gaps that expose the sharp pink tips of her mounds. Whatever clothing the two original contenders had were all but gone at the moment, the towels were ripped to shreds and their loose spandex shorts ripped dangerously close to full on nudity. Actually Hiyuki Hikari’s shorts was almost completely gone at this point the little bush in-between her legs was in full view, throughout it all Lien Hua Feng watch dumbfound unsure of what action should she even take at this point.
That all came to a end when a loud ringtone came from Jiaying You loosed ripped pants which Yin Yue pulled down at the last second, revealing her firm clear white well round rear to the outside world. Jiaying You responded with a kick to the c.h.e.s.t and pushed Hiyuki Hikari away as she pulled back up what remained of her pants and reached for the source of the noise her phone.
“This is Jiaying You send it.” She said with a huff of breath while fixing her hair with her free hand while bracing the cool air on her skin main on her c.h.e.s.t and rear end, meanwhile Lien Hua Feng rushed up to help Yin Yue while Hiyuki Hikari got up on her feet as well.
The two despite now their nudity didn’t seem to care about this fact as they gathered around Jiaying You as a holo screen appeared on her phone revealing the fair beauty with glasses.
“Prez we need you to come to the office immediately there’s been an emergence!” Ning Xuemo came through her tone of voice seemed to radiate a sense of urgency through the radio itself it seem like she was excited.
“Why has there been another attack wait…..if you’re using EM-Waves that mean we’ve got the ISAC Node up and running?”
“Yeah….and we found something……a distress signal…..about two kilts from our position.”
