“I…”
Sensing that Osborne was about to give up, Leo slightly loosened the hold of his dagger to the former’s neck.
But contrary to what Leo was expecting, the moment he loosens the hold of his dagger, Osborne suddenly headbutted him using the back of his head, causing him to be pushed back and letting the latter free. He wanted to catch Osborne again, but it was already too late for him.
After headbutting Leo, Osborne didn’t waste any time as he quickly rolled to the side to escape from the former. He stood up on his two feet with some difficulty as he prepared himself for another round of fight.
“I won’t give up!” Osborne exclaimed. He never had any intention of giving up from the start. He was only pretending back then in order to lower Leo’s guard.
“You…” Leo couldn’t believe that he had been fooled by Osborne just now. He seriously thought that the latter was about to give up and no longer continue fighting. He muttered, “I shouldn’t have let down my guard and waited for you to surrender,”
“It’s too late for you to think of that,” Osborne scoffed.
In the next moment, Osborne lunged himself towards Leo with both of his arms extending forward.
“Shit!” Leo swore while trying his best to escape. Unfortunately, because he was still on the ground, he could only move for some short distance before eventually getting caught by Osborne.
Osborne caught Leo’s waist using only one hand. The latter kept on moving, evidently trying to escape. But too bad, his grip was so firm that Leo could not get himself out no matter how much he moved. With the help of his other hand, he slowly and carefully turned the latter’s body to face him.
“How does it feel having our situation reverse?” Osborne asked with a smile of triumph on his lips.
“I just found out that it doesn’t feel great. Now that I realized this, how about you let me go, and we call it quits?” Leo proposed.
“My intellectual capability might have decreased after activating ‘Fury’, But that doesn’t mean I am an idiot or something similar to that,” Osborne felt displeased at Leo underestimating him.
“Who said that you’re an idiot?” Leo continued struggling as he kept on kicking Osborne’s body. But because he had no foothold to exert his force, his kick didn’t cause any significant effect to the latter. It’s probably nothing but a tickle for Osborne.
“Now it’s time for me to ask you this,” Osborne raised his other hand and made it grab Leo’s neck. Afterward, he extended his arms and lifted the latter’s body high above the air. He continued, “Will you surrender or not? Just to remind you, I am not in the same mind as before. So, if you do something stupid that would trigger me, I might just decide to snap your neck by then,”
“Oh, scary,” Leo muttered with both his hands pushing Osborne’s arm away from his neck. He was already choking, so he was trying to lessen that suffering as much as he could.
“You can struggle as much as you want, but that would all be for nothing in the end,” Osborne felt indifferent to Leo’s effort. In his opinion, the latter had no chance of escaping anymore now that he had gripped his neck.
“You can’t be sure of that yet,” Leo said as he was finally able to slip his hand in between his neck and Osborne’s arm.
“What are you planning?” Osborne immediately tightens his grip on Leo’s neck.
“Say goodbye to your arm,” Leo smiled mischievously as he cast, “Earth Spikes!”
Swishhh! Swishhh!
Three of Osborne’s fingers were instantly cut off after Leo cast an Earth Spikes spell. They fell right on the floor, along with Leo escaping from Osborne’s grip.
“AHHHHH!” Osborne cried out loudly in pain as he stared at his hand that only had two fingers remaining, specifically his thumb and pointing finger.
“What have you done?” Osborne turned to look at Leo.
“I told you already, don’t hold back when you are fighting against me,” Leo reminded Osborne.
Without any hesitation, Leo raised his foot and sent a kick straight towards Osborne’s legs.
Bang!
“Arghhh!”
Booom!
Osborne kneeled on the ground once again due to how painful his feet were. The force of Leo’s kick was transmitted from his legs straight towards his feet. That’s why his feet gave up and made him kneel.
“My Master used to always remind me before, when an opportunity comes in front of you, make sure to make use of it to the fullest,” Leo said as he raised his leg once again and sent a kick towards Osborne. This time, he was aiming towards the remaining dagger that had penetrated into his body.
Bang!
“Arghhh!”
“You should have thrown me to the ground repeatedly until I become unconscious. By then, you could easily win the Battle Royal and become the champion of the Emerald Elven Battle Competition. Unfortunately, it’s already too late for you to do any of that,” Leo threw back Osborne’s line from before.
“I… I didn’t expect that you… you would do something like this to me…,” Osborne said while struggling to talk. The pain was almost unbearable for him. If it wasn’t because he’s an Orc, he would have lost his consciousness already by now.
“Just give up, Osborne,” Leo said as he launched another kick towards Osborne’s head.
Bang!
Booom!
Osborne’s head crashed to the floor. With that intense crash, he started feeling dizzy and felt like vomiting. Eventually, he was unable to hold to it anymore and coughed a mouthful of blood.
Cough!
Splashhh!
The floor was instantly tainted red by Osborne’s blood.
“I will not make the same mistake again. So, I’ll give you three chances to surrender and stop fighting. In these three chances, I will continue attacking you until you finally give up,” Leo said as he raised his hand and pointed it towards Osborne’s body. He cast, “Fireball!”
Boooom! Booooom!
Two muffled explosions sounded, and charred marks were left behind onto Osborne’s body, specifically his front. Two small holes could now be seen on Osborne’s armor, with multiple cracks surrounding the holes.
“That’s the first one,” Leo muttered. He waved his hand, quickly taking out a dagger from his Storage Ring. Under Osborne’s watch, he started playing with the dagger, just like what Osborne did before. He was deliberately imitating Osborne’s lines and actions to make the latter lose confidence. Maybe he would decide to surrender by then.
After enough playing, Leo swings his arm that’s holding the dagger, shooting the dagger straight towards Osborne’s leg.
Whoooosh!
Pluck!
The dagger easily penetrated through Osborne’s foot and came to the other side before slightly embedding itself to the floor. It was enough to cause difficulty to Osborne and prevent him from quickly moving and dodging any of his subsequent attacks.
“You only have one last chance left. If you still don’t give up, then I will have no other choice but to do the worst to you,” Leo reminded Osborne once more in hopes of making the latter think rationally in his mind. He really hates doing something like this, especially to people that he was acquitted with. But if ever he is left with no other choice, he will not hesitate to become cruel.
Honestly, this was just the same as what he had done to Cassandra in the past. When she didn’t act the way he wanted to, he made her suffer the punishment of the Blood Contract that both of them had signed. Only in this case, since there is no Blood Contract or anything of the likes, did he decide to punish Osborne personally and in an even more painful way.
“I wo… n’t… gi…ve… up…” Osborne muttered despite barely being able to say the line ‘I won’t give up’.
“Is that your final decision?” Leo asked to confirm.
“Ye… yes… so… do your… worst…!” Osborne prompted Leo to not hold back and do what he wants to do.
“Alright,” Leo nodded his head in understanding. He started moving closer to Osborne. Upon arriving in front of him, he didn’t hesitate to kick Osborne’s head, making the latter tilt his entire body where his front is now facing the sky.
Just when Osborne thought it was over, Leo suddenly stepped onto the dagger that had penetrated his waist. The latter exerted a lot of force to his foot, making the dagger slowly sink deeper and deeper into his body.
It would have been fine if the dagger was going to go through the other side of Osborne’s body. However, the case of this dagger was different. It had penetrated to the side, which is to say that it’s going to sink inside his body if Leo continues exerting force to his foot.
“A…” Osborne already had no voice to cry his pain. And because of the weight of his entire body, having no strength remaining, and that one of his feet could no longer move, his body could only convulse as a way of expressing the pain that he’s currently suffering.
Not long after, the entire dagger had finally sunk inside Osborne’s waist. It was now inside his stomach and probably had made a small cut to one of his intestines, considering how deep it was.
“This is my last chance to you. But since you already chose not to surrender until the end, I am going to land my final attack to you, so please be prepared,” Leo decided to use the Death Wake Dagger this time to land the last and final attack on Osborne.
Seeing this, Osborne could only close his eyes while feeling a mixed emotion of regret and relief. He was regretful that after all that he had done, he still lost against Leo. But at the same time, he is feeling relief because finally, the Battle Royal is over. Though the former was the majority of what he’s currently feeling right now.
In the next moment, Osborne heard a muffled sound close to his ears before his mind blanked out into total darkness.
